Reviews

“It’s certainly easy to dismiss Tea Party Simulator as ‘just another silly simulator’, but even in these early stages of development it’s a blast”
Alpha Beta Gamer

“Tea Party Simulator shows much [more] promise than the rest of the simulator games out there. The humor is quite present and hidden Easter Eggs just makes it more fun to play.”

This game feels a lot like surgeon simulator and probably takes inspiration from it but in a good way. You wont notice.

Got this game somewhere on the internet for free. I would say i had a good amount of fun trying to get all achievments although some are not possible without major skill. There are trading cards so that is a plus too. I would say its worth like $5 but not quite $10.

Still got me interested more than most games I play!

This is a fun enough game to play - it delivers what the store page claims. You are having a tea party with a stuffed animal (Ted), who demands certain items be dropped in front of him. You just go down the list. There are like five different environments.

Pros:
+It gets laughs just like Surgeon Simulator did
+You can actually walk quite a bit around the area now

Cons:
-Regretfully, I didn't realize until after I purchased this, that this game is not made by the same developers that did Surgeon Simulator, which is fine except they totally rip off the game style (same font, idea, and graphical style)
-There is alot to interact with, but I feel there could be more. For example, there are many items/cabinets/handles on the fringes of the rooms that look interactable, but are not
-Only five environments, as I have heard (I have witnessed two)
-Price is steep for what it is

Overall, it was fun, but I certainly won't get anywhere near 10 hours out of this. I was on the fence about the 'no' vote - but this is fair warning so my Steam friends know what they are getting into. This does not have the content of Goat Simulator. I suppose the cheap laughs might be worth it if it is on deep discount.

I felt like my fingers were the size of a Dwarven warhammer trying to fit them into the eye of a needle.
I just don't have the patience to master the controls to the degree of granularity required to have any degree of success.
My single success in the game was to slap the plate off the table and it landed under the table and I pushed it onto the glowing ring and Ted was satisfied. I think I'll call it a day on this game and go elsewhere.

My teddy bear is an A-hole who does nothing but call me names. I would like to see him try to pick up a tea pot with a stupid hand that feels like it was coated with tooth numbing gel for a decade. (Houseguest reference). In 3 hours I managed to pick up exactly 0 items. At this rate I will die of dehydration soon, but I will pull the stuffing from the bear before I die.

Provided Giveaways Reborn !

If you have some extra coin in the budget and enjoy riding the wave of simulator games that came out in 2015, you may enjoy this game. If, however, you are looking for something other than basic monotonous gameplay with some funny one-laugh achievements, move on.

Presentation
The game itself looks really nice for the asking price. Running the game on fantastic the arm is actually very well rendered, and reminds me of the renderings presented by some AAA (big title) games. But that is when the graphics stop being “fantastic". Most of the objects in the game are made of 1-2 colors. It almost looks like the developer attempted a cell-shaded graphics style and failed. The music changes level to level, but on each level is just a trill that lasts around 10 seconds and constantly repeats.

Interface/Controls
The game is limited in its technical settings: you can set up the graphics and controls before entering the game, but once you are in-game, if you want to change anything again, you will actually need to exit before doing so and use the pre-game console again.

Plot
The plot this game offers is very minimal, and may not even be able to be given the title “plot.” The different levels of the game are effectively simple map changes, and, while they do parody some elements of pop culture, they become monotonous and boring. The Teddy bear that you are tasked with giving tea to does have some funny one-liners, but then repeats them several times in the span of one map.

Gameplay
To sum this game in one sentence: fun for the first couple minutes until you realize that you are doing the same action for the rest of the game with no variation in its mechanics. None of the elements change at all. For each level you are tasked with doing the same exact thing repeatedly. You have the exact same mission in every map: get the tea, cake, plate, cup, and biscuit. The first level was a little entertaining, but the game quickly became a chore to be completed and not an enjoyable nor compelling experience.

Replayability
I might play this game again only to get the Steam achievements as they deliver some more relatively funny one-liner jokes by the Teddy Bear character. Other than that, this game is almost the first level copy and pasted 5 more times.

Conclusion
The game offers a challenge, like all simulators do, to both master the controls and be able to eloquently and literally set a table. In the end it is hard to recommend this game. Some were lucky enough to receive this game for free, but those that have to pay the asking price will be sorely disappointed.

The game was fun for a couple of minutes when you just start out, playing for the sake of laughs. If for any reason you actually want to progress however, the wonky physics and terrible controls will make you rage like no other. God forbid if you wanted to complete the achievements, cause it will redefine the meaning of frustration for you, personally.

The placement of tea sets and cutleries are random by default, so it is possible to begin with an impossible setup. Lucky, you can turn that off in the options. On the other hand, the wobble in the plane stage, the low gravity effects in the space stage and the rain of fruits in the wonderland stage are fairly random in their impact. That my friends, cannot be adjusted in the options. Thus it is always best to pray while you play, since there are no skills here, just luck and RNG.

I’ll give you an honest opinion, the game is badly made and the content is bare bones, it is nowhere near the worth of its asking price. Please don’t fall for the “oh-so-funny” reviews, you can do a lot better with your hard earned money.

If this was a free or 0,99€ game, sure, it's for fun and all. But 10€? Nah.
I got it for free on a giveway anyway, and it has cards, so I can't complain much.
