Cake Mania Main Street is the fourth game in the Cake Mania series, a highly popular time management series. For those familiar with the Cake Mania series, you'd usually take on the role of Jill, baking cakes for various customers in differing locales and such. Although you can still play as Jill in this game, there are 3 other shops besides the bakery, allowing for more variety. In addition, a burger restaurant, flower shop, and sushi restaurant are now available to play. Since the main storyline involves bringing life back to Jill's hometown of Bakersfield, it does make sense that she would have others help by running other businesses.

As this is a time management game, the gameplay is pretty simple. Basically, various customers will enter and give out their orders, and you simply need to fulfill them. There is a tutorial to help out for those unfamiliar with this kind of gameplay. In addition, after each level, you can buy more equipment, upgrade it, and buy new recipes, allowing for more variety. Apart from the levels and upgrades, you can improve on the town of Bakersfield by buying various attractions and upgrading existing shops. This allows you to bring more income to the town and attract more people to shop.

I enjoyed this game, as I'm a fan of the Cake Mania series. The gameplay was lots of fun and a bit challenging at times. The characters are entertaining, and I liked the art (in a comic book style) and music. I only wish that there would be more Cake Mania games on Steam, as I believe that fans of time management games would love them. (I'm not sure if it would be possible to bring more Cake Mania games on Steam, though, since the developer has since sold the rights and I have no idea who has them now.) Even without Steam achievements or trading cards, I would totally recommend this game, as I found it to be a lot of fun. ^^

The mouse keeps lagging and it's very frustrating to play when you can't get a house of the mouse.

It's like Cake Mania plus 3 other games in one. My favorite shop is now the Sushi one, some crazy anime cat girl comes in. Watch out for Superman and the Vampires, they aren't very nice to the other customers. This is much better than just Cake Mania.

Kept me entertained for at least 12 hours so far and I'm not done all the game modes yet.

I was hoping for more of the actual Cake Mania game mode but you only get 25 stages I believe. Which is like, hello, isn't this CAKE Mania? I'm sitting here making burgers? Which is actually pretty fun though, so that's not a big deal.

Cheesy dialogue like all the other cake mania games. If you can ignore the cringe, this game is fun and entertaining.

Caka Mania is fun, it's addicting. Altho with no endless mode, it's kind blah after you beat it.
