It's basically Half-Life, but in Free-for-all form. All the weapons from Half-Life are in here.

This game is DEAD though. So if you can host a private server and get a couple of your friends to play, then this game is awesome!

Great for fans of the original Half-Life. Not so good for people who just wanna play. Just don't expect to find anyone playing on a Public server.

While this game is the what we all remember it over a decade ago, I am disappointed to say that I cannot recommend this game to anyone but a digital-collector. This game is an exact port/remake of the original Deathmatch. This version does not have as many people playing, (probably because the only way to get this game is to get the Valve Complete Pack), does not have extensive custom map support, and you can't change even change your player model!!!

This is pretty much the same treatment that was done for Half Life: Source, except it's the multiplayer this time. Again, I fail to see the point, as the engine is less utilized here than before, to the point that you feel like you were scammed. If you want a Source engine Half Life deathmatch game, go for Half Life 2: Deathmatch.

If your one to enjoy the source engine, but want to play the classic half life 1 deathmatch, then this title is recommended, but personally for me, the classic brought to the source engine is crap.

Pretty freakin' good, even today.
Had a lot of fun with it, and it's quite surprising that this game has a good amount of players,
you know, because it's 10 years old?

Good God, I would never recommend this to someone if my life depended on it. Here's my reasons.

-Spamming of the Tau Cannon. This bad boy can go through multiple walls, not hit you, and kill you. People SPAM this a LOT.

-Excessive bhopping. You'd be lucky to kill someone who does this a lot. Like really lucky.

-Spamming of MP5 grenades. These are OP as hell in this game, and people love to spam them because they don't know how to use the primary function of the MP5.

-Rigging of the map with tripmines/satchels. If you see this happening you're screwed. Generally every single corner and spawn would be rigged. And these are OP as well.

-Spamming of the RPG. Yes, people do this. It's annoying.

-Ability to press the Crossfire nuke button multiple times, causing multiple nukes. Really, Valve?

-Most servers give you longjump on spawn, making bhopping excessively easy.

-Subtransit has two trams now because of glitches with updates.

-Most players are A-Holes. You kindly recommend [not even demand] that they use a different weapon and they go apesh't on you and call you a whiner.

-HACKERS. Most of the players are hackers, even the admins. So that means you can't report someone for hacking. They will not care.

-Hypocritical servers. This one server has swearing in its death sounds, yet it's like "no swearing plz". No one enforces this though.

-People tend to wonder why this game is near dead. The things I listed above are most likely why.

And those are my reasons. This game is NOT worth it. And if you're good at FPS's, that's not enough. You need to be extraordinary at FPS's to get around in this game. Never buy this game. EVER.

It's clearly easier to find the Saint Graal than a Half-Life Deathmatch server with people on it.

OMG THESE GRAFHICS SUCK.

Shut up stupid guy who thinks that graphics are the best parts in a video game.

This is great. I don't own Half Life yet, but if Half Life 1 is like this, then I'll be happy.

Half life deathmatch source is an amazing game, even though its pretty old and it has no next gen graphics, its still a realy fun addicting game,But i would have rated it 10/10 instead of 7/10 if there was actually someone playing it,
