Operation Skull Rain

In Operation Skull Rain, two BOPE Operators join Team Rainbow to secure the Favela, our new free map. This third major content update introduces new features, including a surrender system for ranked matches, the ability to see your teammate’s loadout during the planning phase, additional customisation content and lots more. This new map also supports external wall destruction, a real game-changer.

2 New agents
With Operation Skull Rain, Team Rainbow recruits two of the BOPE’s finest: Caveira and Capitão. The new Operators are immediately unlocked for Season Pass owners, with exclusive access granted for seven days. All players can then unlock the Operators with Renown or R6 Credits after the exclusivity period ends.

Defender Caveira
Knowns as a brutal interrogator, Taina “Caveira” Pereira makes for a fearless Operator on the field. Arrested at the age of 16 on robbery charges, her promising profile allowed for an exception to be made, giving her the choice between entering a juvenile reformatory or working with BOPE. Caveira’s predatory stealth technique, the “Silent Step” and her “Luison”, a unique PRB92 with custom suppressor and subsonic ammunition and silencer, allow her to stalk her prey, almost inaudible, until it’s too late for them to defend themselves.
Attacker Capitão
Born and raised in Nova Iguaçu outside of Rio de Janeiro, Vicente “Capitão” Souza was recruited by the Coordenadoria de Recursos Especiais (CORE) soon after high school. After being ambushed, Souza was captured and tortured for two months. After that, there were talks of removing him from the field, but Souza’s unprecedented tactical strategies caught the attention of BOPE. Capitão can switch between asphyxiating bolts and micro smoke grenades, depending on which will grant him the most tactical advantage.

FAVELA
Team Rainbow has been called in to assist local law enforcement regain control of the Favela. Two BOPEs stationed in the area have been enlisted to provide their expertise on the region to Team Rainbow. A mix of old and new constructions and open air pathways, this is the most destructible and open map to date. The new Favela map is available free for all players.

Skull Rain Weapon Skins
With Operation Skull Rain, players receive four Skull Rain signature skins and more.

Headgear & Charms
Swap out your operator’s headgear from high quality traditional military to fantasy gear. Personalise your weapon with charms. Whether you want to rep your favourite operator, a six medal or a unicorn, you can now equip your weapon with a lucky charm before going into battle.

Operation Dust Line

In Operation Dust Line, two Navy SEAL operators join Team Rainbow to secure the Border, our new free map. This second major content update also introduces new weapon skins, advanced customization options, the ability to change your loadout between round, and more improvements.

2 New Operators

With Operation Dust Line, Team Rainbow recruits two of the Navy SEAL’s finest: Blackbeard and Valkyrie.
The new Operators are immediately unlocked for Season Pass owners, with exclusive access granted for seven days. All players can then unlock the operators with Renown or R6 Credits after the exclusive period ends.

VALKYRIE
DEF

An Olympic hopeful in the 200 meter breaststroke, Meghan J. “Valkyrie” Castellano’s dreams of gold were dashed, her junior year, when she broke her arm in a car accident. She spent the next two years doing rehab with her father, an army training officer. While working as a Naval Intelligence Officer, she was chosen to be one of the first women admitted to SEAL training. Equipped with the “Black Eye” Gyro Cam Mk2, a quick deployment sticky camera, Valkyrie gives her team a new eye in the sky.

BLACKBEARD
ATK

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, although his parents were college professors, Craig “Blackbeard” Jenson became obsessed with everything military. He dedicated himself to becoming a Navy SEAL, seeing them as the ideal blend of mental and physical strength. Equipped with the TARS Mk 0, Transparent Armored Rifle Shield, a prototype based on armor shield technology for tank gunners, Blackbeard increased his mobile protection without diminishing his field of vision.

BORDER CONTROL

Team Rainbow has been called in to assist local law enforcement regain control of the border. Two Navy SEALs stationed in the area have been enlisted to provide their expertise of the region to Team Rainbow. A mix of old and new construction and open air pathways, this is the most destructible and open map to date.
The new Border map is available for free for all players.

Gold Edition

The Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Gold Edition includes the Standard Edition & the Season Pass.

About This Game

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is the upcoming installment of the acclaimed first-person shooter franchise developed by the renowned Ubisoft Montreal studio.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege invites players to master the art of destruction. Intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the center of the experience. The gameplay sets a new bar for intense firefights and expert strategy in the rich legacy of past Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six games.

Key Features

THE SIEGE GAMEPLAY
For the first time in Rainbow Six, players will engage in sieges, a brand-new style of assault. Enemies now have the means to transform their environments into strongholds: they can trap, fortify, and create defensive systems to prevent breach by Rainbow teams.

To face this challenge, players have a level of freedom unrivaled by any previous Rainbow Six game. Combining tactical maps, observation drones, and a new rappel system, Rainbow teams have more options than ever before to plan, attack, and diffuse these situations.

COUNTER TERRORIST UNITS
Counter terrorist operatives are trained to handle extreme situations, such as hostage rescue, with surgical precision. As “short range” specialists, their training is concentrated on indoor environments. Operating in tight formations, they are experts of close quarter combat, demolition, and coordinated assaults. Rainbow Six Siege will include operators coming from five of the most worldwide renowned CTU: the British SAS, the American SWAT, the French GIGN, the German GSG9 and the Russian SPETSNAZ.

These Operators are specialists with their own expertise within Siege operations. Each has their own unique personality & specialty. Some are focused on assault where as others are defense-oriented. They can be combined within the same team to create new team strategies.

PROCEDURAL DESTRUCTION
Destruction is at the heart of the siege gameplay. Players now have the unprecedented ability to destroy environments. Walls can be shattered, opening new lines of fire, and ceiling and floors can be breached, creating new access points. Everything in the environment reacts realistically, dynamically, and uniquely based on the size and caliber of bullets you are using or the amount of explosives you have set. In Rainbow Six Siege, destruction is meaningful and mastering it is often the key to victory.

This is a very fun, very frustrating game.

Pros:
- One life per round, first to win 3 rounds wins match so each life counts
- Realistic weaponry & damage
- Many different operators and with each new "season", tactics have to change

Cons:
- Ubisoft matchmaking service just flat out stinks, very difficult to link up with friends and play
- Difficulty is very, very, very high
- Cheating is rampant (but Ubi is working on this with FairFight and Battleye) as is TK'ing
(and) Battleye doesn't always launch with the game, so you'll almost be in a match then you'll have to restart the game
- Overall lack of a single player campaign (though the training missions kind of feel like one, albeit a very short one)

I have really mixed emotions about this game. I played it in closed Alpha, then in Beta and it's slowly gotten better with each update. I really think if they could work out matchmaking (hey Ubisoft... see Valve's solutions) it would be a lot more fun. As it is, hard to complete a full match without losing people (dropping intentionally or not, removed by Fairfight or for TK'ing).

So I love the game, for the most part. Has a lot of opportunity to be a long-lasting game, but there are still a LOT of kinks to work out.

I'd say get it on sale... hopefully they'll release the "Starter Pack" again and you can save a little with that.

Overall: Recommended (if you like realistic, challenging FPS)

Rainbow Six Siege it's a great game, and I have had a lot of fun playing it.

However I would recommend if you are thinking about buying it, to have friends to play with as the game itself, is far more enjoyable when you play with people you know and can easily chat to while playing.

It is a game focused on giving as much information to your team-mates as possible and I find the communication can be lacking when playing with randoms.

Pros
+ Many different operators with unique abilities to choose from.
+ R6S is a HIGHLY TACTICAL game.
+ Wonderful graphics.
+ DLC doesn't limit anyone, You can play DLC maps for free and unlock DLC operators with in game renown.
+ Most skins only cost in game currency.

Cons
- UPLAY, UBISOFT. We got Steam already. Your existence is pointless!!
- Ping is a big ***** issue!!!!
- RANKED matches are not balanced.
- 5 rounds per game is too short.
- Alot of hackers IMO.
- No single-player mode.

OVERALL!,
"Excellent game that combines everything a player looking for a HIGH-LEVEL shooting game."

Bought the game.
Played a bit.
Didn't like it.
Rushed to get a refund.
Steam tells me i can't refund it cause i have played for more than 2 hours.
I say no way.
I check my game-time....191.4 hours on record.
I check outside, the Sun is missing and aliens have taken over earth.
I go back inside, put my headset on, and start gaming again like nothing has ever happened.

I love shooters, with over 500+ hours in Arma 3, Arma series, and Battlefield series.

After 80+ hours in this game I can say:

***Pros***
Paid $15 on starter edition (back in March or something but this game is worth the full price)
Non Toxic and Friendly community, everybody helps with tips and don't yell at you if you fail.("it was a nice try bro")
Very addictive. (You will find yourself playing for hours)
Skill based game. (Yes it take skills not for spray and pray players)
Awesome destruction and graphics. (John Cena music while breaching trough the roof)
Control is just in the spot.
Lots of options to choose from, customize weapons (skins and gadgets), operator looks etc.

***Cons***
Sometimes the matchmaker will place you in an already started match.(Is not that bad, just think about someone leaving your team you don't want to be 4 vs 5 right?)
The killcam could be improved a little.

***This used to be negative:
When prone sometimes the enemy was able to see your legs trough the walls FIXED NOW
Anti cheat system was crap, now being replaced with Battle Eye (Battlefield and Arma use this)
The matchmaker used to be crap, but now it actually puts you in-game real quick.
Load times are much better now.
New rules for team killers are in place (they get banned now)
The servers work way better now or not sure if there is less people playing? (after a DLC launch it goes crazy)

OVERAL REVIEW
10/10
A really fun game you will enjoy with or without friends, very addictive, you don't wanna play something else which is strange for me since I play a lot of games.

Having a good headset or sound system is strongly advised since you hear people approaching from different directions, vital for winning a match.

Rainbow Six Siege brings the tactical shooter series back by offering a 5-on-5 attack and defend based multiplayer gameplay. Yes, as opposed to the previous games in the series, the game lacks the singleplayer department (excluding the singleplayer training missions) and mainly focuses on multiplayer gameplay.

Unlike most of the casual run-and-gun type of shooters on the market today, Rainbow Six Siege forces you to think and act accordingly to achieve success in the game. Most of your time will be spent on strategizing with your teammates.

The game has two sides as Attacker and Defender, each side having specific operators to play with. When you play as a defender, as the name tells, you try to defend the given objective. You can use barricades, traps and character-specific gadgets to do that. On the other hand, when you play as an attacker, your goal is to secure the objective and again, you can do it by using character-specific gadgets, blasting through floors and ceilings.

The game also features a Terrorist Hunt mode, just like the previous games in the series.

If you are tired of mediocre contemporary shooters, and want to experience a team-centric and strategic gameplay, Rainbow Six Siege is worth to take a look at.

The pacing in this game is astonishing. Round starts, you are either rolling around to gather intel, or deciding where your forced points of entry will be while shooting the drones. Then its the set up phase for attackers, while the defenders make last minute changes, and then wait.

Oh my, the waiting. The people I party with are usually very talkative, but when it's time to defend, everyone shuts up. We are all listening for footsteps, ropes, breach charges. Calm before the storm. Then all hell breaks loose. You both teams calling out opfor positions as quickly and coherently as possible. Shifting positions to cover for that thermite charge that took out the reinforced wall. Putting holes in walls to peek through. This game is right up my alley, but it is also fresh in the sense that there isn't action thrown at you for 20 minutes from all sides. If your team keeps a level head, you come out on top. I hope this game gets some legs and runs for a while.

This game has such potential. Leave it to Ubisoft to ♥♥♥♥ up a good thing. While the multiplayer is pretty sound, despite the bugs, please... for the love of god, stay away from Terrorist Hunt - it's absolutely laughable. I want to compile the kill cams and send them to Ubisoft. On Normal difficulty, it's too easy. So I figured I'd try Hard or Realistic. Nope. The game literally cheats because the developers weren't talented enough to make the AI intelligent. Grenades go through solid walls, bots can literally throw flashbangs backwards, they shoot you through walls without ever having line of sight of you, enemies with shields can headshot you from 30 feet away without ever aiming down the sights, they can shoot you through smoke from 20 feet away, they also know when you're looking at a drone camera so a bot will run up and shoot you while you're looking at it even though just prior to that you stood in the same place for ten minutes without a bot ever running up to you. It's truly disgusting. There are other problems I'm forgetting but mostly it's the kill cams that reveal the flaws. An enemy will be slowly walking, scanning around and then, without ever seeing you, he'll quickly turn 90 or 180 degrees and put his sights right on you - it reasembles an aimbot hack because his sights are literally stuck on your head. Even your slightest movements are followed; it's like the barrel of his gun is attached to your head.

I take issue with the bombers in the game, too. They're just ridiculous, taking two headshots to kill even with GLAZ' marksman rifle. It's expecially silly when you consider the operator Tachanka has a steel ballistic helmet over his entire head and yet he's still a one shot headshot but some f*ck face bomber in a white hazmat suit can take several shots to the dome? Stop it Ubi, you're making me laugh.

Sound is also an issue in Terrorist Hunt - an enemy will break down a barricade right behind you and you won't hear it. It's the same with footsteps sometimes - you won't hear a bot until he's right next to you and yet the bots can hear you outside before you've even breached. It can be such a frustrating game. I also feel like they spawn bots behind you sometimes because I've had bots run up behind me when I'm still outside shooting into a building from a barricade I've busted down. I'll then walk the perimeter of the building after killing the enemy that started shooting me from behind just to see where he came from and not one window or door is missing a barricade. So where did he come from? I know some of the AI on certain maps like Dust will exit the main building and walk the balcony that wraps around the buildling. So I know some enemies remove barricades to exit an area or a room and then put up a new barricade behind them but enemies will pop up behind me on a map like House where I've never seen roamers patrol the exterior. Only if they hear me shooting will an enemy or two come outside but, in that situation, they don't put the barricade back up behind them - they just exit the building and come to your location. *sigh* you get the point.

I know this isn't relative to PC as I'm only mentioning it to make a point but on console the multiplayer runs at 60FPS but the devs said the Terrorist Hunt missions "have to run at 30FPS because of the advanced AI." Lol give me a break. You mean the AI with aimbot and wall hacks? There is nothing advanced about them - they're absolute dog s'h'i't. One enemy literally shot me through two walls without ever seeing me. I've recorded and saved all the hilarious kill cams when I lose a round because of this crap. I want to gather the ten most pathetic examples and send them to Ubisoft.

I don't know how many people play the Terrorist Hunt so this may not even concern you but, they did put it in the game so it's open to criticism. I would certainly argue that more people play Terrorist Hunt that you may think, whether they play solo like I do or coop. But my final gripe is the straight up Third Reich pricing for gun skins and headgear. If you do the math, one skin is between three and five dollars when bought with R6 credits. And even after buying a skin, it's only applicable to the gun you bought it for; you can't apply it to any other weapon. It's just typical disgusting Ubisoft with their corporate demeanor. I understand making money - this is capitalism after all, but you're suppose to make money because you made a product people like and therefore buy, not because you're a greedy ballbag.

UPDATE: I don't know how I forgot to mention this part - it's truly the worst part of the game. The AI enemies are imperveous to weapon damage during their dumb little flinch animation. So lets say you rapid fire five shots at an enemies torso - if your first or second bullet causes the flinch animation to occur - the second, third, fourth, etc bullet won't have any effect on the AI while animation is playing. I've shot an enemy in the head three times while he was flinching and he just started firing at me again once the animation stopped. There's just no excuse for that kind of crap. How do you not catch that in development?

I want to leave a positive review for this game, I really do. But I can't

This game looks great, runs great, has an amazing premise, but it falls flat because Ubisoft is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company. There are so many bugs that still exist from beta. There is nothing more frustrating than dying because your limbs clipped through a wall, or your barrel is sticking outside of a closed window. But hell, thats all forgiveable. What's not forgiveable? The fact that lagging is strictly an advantage, that you can shoot someone in the head or be shot straight in the head and nothing happens because the netcode is worse than Pokemon Go's servers, that there STILL isn't anti-cheat and past low level ranked there is almost a gaurentee that one person will have a modified client, that the "Fair-Fight" system in place of anti cheat often kicks and bans people who aren't cheating, that characters have been poorly balanced since the beta, and that there still isn't a consiquence for going outside as a defender despite the fact that in a realist scenario if you go outside you're going to be killed before you can get all the way through a door/window frame. I keep playing in hopes that Ubisoft will come through on their promises to fix problems, but it's clear they have no intent, and are lying. Because lying for money is something we all know Ubisoft is good at.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is one of the most fresh and innovative shooters on the market.
The core of the game strategy relies heavily on teamwork and communication which results in a slower paced tactical shooter that will at times keep you in tense anticipation for your opponents next move.

I wish I could recommend this game to others and while the developers have attempted to make progress towards fixing the games glaring issues I'd say it's too little to late esspecially for a game with a 50$ price tag and optional in-game microtransactions.

Cons:
Inconsistent game mechanics
Due to either server issues or the game itself the consistency in game play is severly lacking quite often you will get the jump on an opponent and unleash what should be by the games standards a killing blow only to watch as your bullets pile into their face like "Honey Boo-Boo at an all you can eat Chicken McNugget buffet" just to have them turn around and kill you. Now the game will then bless you with the pleasure of a Kill-Cam in which you can watch from the eyes of your "should have been prey" as you catch them off guard and their vision is obscured from the blood spouting from their eyes (due to the afformentioned bullets you shot them with in the face) only for them to jerk around violently like a panther with cerebral palsy and kill you dead in your tracks like the skilled assassian they are.

For a game that is trying to position it self as a "E-Sport" the situation with the frequency of these events is unacceptable in my opinion.

Hacking:
Oh lord the hacking, I played a ranked game that on more then one occassion had a hacker and you think oh ok no biggie it happens this is PC gaming... Well one the hacker would slip up and it was apparent due to the way they'd track people through walls snap to heads etc. The enemy team would call him out he'd make some pathetic excuse and then the enemy team would turn thier hacks on. Into what would quickly devolve into an instant 360 no-scope headshot match if you so much as rounded a corner. You would be shot through 3 walls deep with no vision. This sort of thing happened regularly even after all members would be reported. I'd still play games against them weeks later. This is a game where if played competetively almost everyone has hacks they are just waiting for the other team to show their hand before abusing them. Go ahead google search R6 hacks and look at how easy it is to get them.

Pros:
This game is a great example of what would be the standard for next gen competetive shooters the graphics are crisp and well done yet not too taxing on lower budget systems so that it has a easy entry level for all rigs.

The in-game voice communication although it needs a little work with volumes for certain people is clean and surprising has very minimal lag.

The characters are interesting and all very unique in their skills and roles they play inside the team

Unfortunately It just does not have the polish to compete and certainly not for a 50$ game that you have to either purchase characters in-game with real money or grind out in-game credits to unlock them just to be able to play the game to it's full state.
