Finally a really good puzzle game. Dont get tricked by the cute graphics.

They are only here to ease your mind in this hellish difficult game, or they along with the music are some sick joke by the developers.

I almost completed all levels, soon one of my life goals will be achieved.

This thing is positively tickling my brain
Snake: Puzzler's Edition

I got this from Humble Bundle, and hey, it was nice:

Good Basically exponential difficulty curve. Damn son, i expected a normal-difficulty game.
Cheerful, cartoon-doodle styled art (Solid/simple coloring, not much detail, simplistic)

Even if it's a simple, shorty game (except for the DaVinci tier problemsolving), it still can pack a bunch of entertainment.

7/10 this has more potential than the game actually shows, could've put in more mechanics and levels / level editor

Snakebird will lure you in with its comforting atmosphere and cute aesthetic. It will lull you into a false sense of security, making you think you're safe in its warm embrace. Do not let it fool you. Snakebird does not care about you. Snakebird will devour you whole the second you turn your back. Snakebird is an unrelenting, unforgiving monster constantly on the prowl for fresh blood.

The only way to escape is to beat it.

The cute little devil of puzzle-games

I usually don't write reviews, but this little gem definitely deserves one!

Snakebird is a puzzle game. Your goal is to collect all fruits to unlock the exit of the stage. If a Snakebird collects a fruit, it gains +1 length (you get a bigger buttock.. kind of). The concept is simple, but don't let this fact deceive you! The difficulty rises extremly steep with each level and level-section.
The game-world is made of different level-sections. In each one the game gets an extra aspect, like: use a box, a teleporter or some platforms to reach your goal. I know.. it actually sounds like it's making the whole thing easier, but.. well.. not really.
The music is nice & relaxing and the artstyle is very cute.

Gameplay: good (4/5)
Music: good (4/5)
Artstyle: good (4/5)
Difficulty: very hard (5/5)
Fairness: balanced/not unfair (5/5)

If your into puzzle games, like to complete some challenges (do yourself a favor and don't cheat) and got some time to spare (some puzzles take their time), than this is your game! It is definetly worth the price, so give make an effort and buy it. :)

Snakebird is one of those rare games that feels absolutely solid. Presentation is great. Controls are great. Difficulty is superbly devious.

It seems simple: Navigate all the snakebirds on the screen, to the rainbow portal, eating all fruit on the level in the process. But you will learn to hate gravity.

The graphics and solid controls takes one back to Super Nintendo days and are a joy to look at.

But the heart of this game is the superb puzzles. 53 levels to complete in total. Millions of hair strands to remove from your head in the process.

No two levels are the same and yet, sometimes you solve a puzzle purely on luck. Try to do the same level a second time and you have no clue how you completed it the first time...

Even though most of the puzzles are super hard, stick with it. Figuring out a level feels extremely satisfying and most of the time you learn something that will help in the coming levels.

Greatly recommended for anybody up for a serious challenge.

This game's puzzle mechanic is revamps the old Snake mechanic yet still manages to be unique. The puzzles are very hard, yet I still haven't given up. The puzzles tend to seem to have solutions where you can figure out fairly easily what exactly it is you need to do, but still make it hard to figure out how to do it. This makes it both frustrating and not frustrating, because at least I don't feel totally clueless most of the time.

Great puzzle game. It's Snake + gravity. The difficulty level is... immense. Makes getting the stars in Braid look easy.

Snakebird
Cool "simplistic" logic game. First few levels are easy, and then when you do not expect you fall to hell. Some of the levels are so hard, that i rage quit to start the game again and again. You almost freely chose which levels to play, and becouse of that there is no difficulty scaling. Graphic is pretty, and the concept is great, like expanded The Maitre D. In snakebird you control birds that are also friut eating snakes that are expanding their length after eating. You have to eat to survive, but you can stuck and eat your own tail also.

This game is basically like a cute puppy dog hitting you over the head with a chair.

The visuals make you expect a little game even a 5th grader could beat in a day. But in reality this game could probably make even Stephen Hawking feel dumb. The difficulty curve is less of a curve, but rather a difficulty cliff you desperately try to climb. And even though this description makes it sound like a torture device it is actually a really fun game.

It is a genuine challenge, It makes you think a lot harder than most games these days. And that's what makes this game so good. The mechanics are simple to understand, but take a lot of brains and patience to master.

Additonally to the gameplay and the simplistic, yet adorable, graphics the soundtrack is very calming and complements the game really well (which is perfectly fitting because otherwise I'd probably have punched a hole into my wall by now...)

Overall a neat and challenging game that I can definitely recommed you getting.

This is a very simple but punishingly difficult puzzle game. It starts off fairly straightforward, but progresses rapidly to seemingly impossible situations. I am sure there are subtleties to the movement that I have not yet learned, but as it stands, I've actually reached a wall where I can't solve any of the available puzzles. Still, the game is extremely well crafted. The graphics are colorful and crisp, the audio is unobtrusive, and the controls are as simple as it gets. All you have to do it have your little snakebirds eat all the fruit and make it safely to the rainbow portal. But good GOD it's hard. Luckily, it's the kind of hard that, when you figure it out, it's immensely satisfying. So, if you're in the mood for an extreme puzzle challenge (honestly, this is probably the hardest puzzle game I've played on Steam), this is you game.
