What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access for a number of reasons. Most notably it gives us the opportunity to develop the game alongside our community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At present we have no exact timeframe for the duration of early access. As long as it can benefit the development of the game we will keep it open to the public.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Currently the Early Access version consists of a PvP mode with various different options of matches. In the final version of the game there will be not only a lot more content but two other game modes, the next to come will be the highly anticipaited Freeplay (PvE) mode.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the Early Access version is in open-beta of the PvP game mode, featuring 3 play modes: Team Deathmatch, Research and Battery Retrieval.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Currently you can play the game for free and we plan on keeping that approach with the final release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We regularly interact with our player base on our official forums and here on steam. Discussing our plans for the game and even incorporating some suggestions put forward by you, the players.”

I seriously want to like this game. It has such massive potential.

Pros:

1) Sound is amazing. Play with a good headset and you will be able to hear every footstep and gunshot in beautiful deafening glory. Their sound guy deserves a raise.

2) Bullets hurt. No shrugging off 7.62 rounds like BBs. When you get hit you feel it. Head shot auto-kills, sniper rifles kill with torso shots, unless your carrying heavy armor.

3) Bleeding. When you get shot you tend to bleed, and left untended you will bleed out and die, so if you just winged a soldier as he ran in a building he might fall over dead in a few seconds. Bad part is you medkits to deal with it and they are one use and instant apply. Beginning you will not even know how to use it. When you do, it disappears and then next scratch and you're doomed. There are no ways to get more in game, until you die. Would like to see a medkit be infinity use but you have to hide and spend a several seconds bandaging and or tourniquet. They are so mandatory you will never get to equip any other items, like grenades.

4) Brings back tactics like sneaking and teamwork. At the moment no one works as a team, but if you get a group and do you can seriously dominate. Communication is god. Plenty of cover and concealment for the like minded sniper.

5) Leveling system is awesome idea and can help you specialize your play style, but still needs more work.

Cons:

1) Team Killing Rampant-There is currently no puishment for Team Killing and it happens alot. Nothing you can do about it. Vostek says to take a screen shot and then go to support page and submit evidence, except you can't. Page wont open, can't write a support ticket either, says I dont have permission.

2) Massive Unbalancing, this is one of the most unbalanced games I've ever played. SMG's do everything better than everything else. Get in a game 95% of players using one. Sniper Rifles have no scopes or anything terrible rechambering, slow you down, small mags, and server side glitched will mean you miss alot of shots due to everyone being Nightcrawler all over the map, so its like playing the game on hard mode.

3) Hit Registration is awful often disregarding single shots so sorry again, snipers you will often shoot right through your target while he blows you away with 30 well aimed non-scattering shots. Glitches a plenty fall through map, people teleporting, and invisible players.

4) No safe spawn point. The entire map is open for everyone so if you sneak around the lines, which is easy due to map size and cover, you can just sit in their spawn and kill them as they spawn. This one I can guarentee will happen in every game.

5) No prone. In Future Russia laying on the ground is prohibited, which really hurts snipers, causing you to stand still like a big dumb target.

6) Matchmaking is broken, only game mode you can get into is TDM and you will get matched with players from all tiers of play, so your first game will proabably be against god-tier players with heavy armor and LMG's and the worlds more accurate SMG's ever made. Using weapons that you can no longer attain due to changes in the game. So they will always have an edge over you.

7) In game store. This game has an In game store, which is perfectly fine for a F2P game, except that it is not finished and they say they can't even get small things like the damn "Stars and Stripes" in the game (While they have like 30-40 others and their coat of arms, including even a Atlas has never heard of), but you bet they want you to spend your money on it. Also leveling up without "Premium" is awful. I got no good drops after games, got a few days premium to see the difference, and I got like 10 weapons in one day. You will almost never see one without it.

In this state I cannot recommend this game. That being said, I would love to come back and play this game if they ever fix it. In it's current state it's really a open alpha, with a In Game Store. I do not recommend supporting these shady business tactics in Video Games. Vostek Games please fix yourself please.

BETA/EARLY ACCESS AND PVP ONLY REVIEW

I truly enjoy this game as a beta and can't wait for it to be released and with PVE. And here's why.

Pros
  • Sound; weapons are perfect. Every gun sounds meaty and and powerful.
  • Visuals; I firmly believe that the graphics engine is actually nice. The flora looks really defined and looks like what actual overgrowth would. The anomolies look beautiful, honestly have more of an alluring beauty than S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s did. The weapons are sleek and look very nice. I wish they'd be a little more beat up and obviously worn out. The maps in this game are astonishingly perfect. I'd hug the designer of these maps if I could.
  • Gameplay; Guns are very easy to handle and just plain fun to use. Honestly one of the better FPS gameplay I've played in a while. The store is nice and straightforward. I really enjoy the lore and clothing items for each faction, I think it'll be really fun when the factions and players in the factions have a larger role, ie., roleplaying in PVE.
  • Anomolies/Artifacts; Anomolies are amazing, I love the differences and habitats each one has, some matches I would just sit there studying them.

Cons
  • Gunplay; Auto's, especially SMG's are too accurate. Plain and simple. It's broken and too accurate to be realistic. A PPSH shouldn't have the same amount of accuracy at full auto as a Remington 700.
  • Sound; Sound of footsteps need to be louder, sometimes the audio for it even cuts out. There's no audio for rain.
  • Anomolies/Artifacts; Anomolies aren't honestly intimidating enough, the blue gel at Chemical Factory honestly doesn't do anything but is a surface to walk on. Artifacts, and how their buffs work doesn't seem to be enough for me personally. They have a roughly 30 second cooldown, but they're active for five. I believe the buff should stay on until you die for PVP.

As for the "P2W" everyone complains about, there honestly isn't one. Yeah, there's guns you can buy with gold, but all it does is give a Silver Rubles bonus, Rate of Fire bonus(Reload, recoil, or aiming speed depending on the gun) and Reliability bonus. You can get as many kills with a Toz-34 as someone with the gold paid MR-27M Lancaster. The gold is honestly more used for decoration of your uniform if anything.

TL:DR; I give this a solid 7/10. I can't wait for the full and most anticipated release.

I came by this game in seach of something new, and my first impressions was that it most likely "just" another of those free to play shooters with little to no quality over them.

I went to the user reviews even though they are not all posetive, and then decided to try the game out. All i can conclude is that the game got alot of very important aspects right

- Shooting feels very good (better than most AAA titles)
- The health and damage system is good
- All guns feels powerfull, is animated very good and have very good sounds.
- Maps are generally impressive in both looks and layout.

The basics of the game seems to be set and working good. The game lacks game modes and content. But those should come.

Its a game i will watch and i will also put money into it when it evolves more. Simply because it does everything that is important so well. The developers are putting in quality so far and that shines through!

I dont understand the negative reviews. I play this game since closed beta and it`s a lot of fun. Here are my impressions so far:
+Pros:
+Fair gamepley system for a free to play game, the most OP weapons in the game can be bought with in game currency. The game rewards you with retail currency as you level up, or at random match rewards. Not too much grind needed by the way.
+Constant game balancing by the devs.
+Fast 15 minnute matches, that never get boring.
+8vs8 matches, teamplay and communications is a must. A single OP player cant do the game for the rest. Ive played a game where a enemy player was with 54/14 kill/death ratio and we still won.
+3 different game modes that change gameplay entirely.
+You will pay for every mistake that you made. Hey, lets walk there but look for snipers on the way - double bear trap, you are dead. Hey, lets look for traps while I go there - get shot by sniper.
+Sounds of this game are near realistic. The devs put so much effort in recording the real sound of every weapon in the game, even footsteps in different areas, short story - this game beats the average A shooter in the mather of sound effects.
+Weapons are deadly. Near realistic damage, but arcade enough to keep you in the game after being shot, good balance.
+Decent graphics. I mean, yeah its 2015, the graphics of the game are no much for an A sooter, but I love how the camouflage actualy works as such.
+Rewarding skill tree progression.
+Athmosphere, I almost feel that I am at the battlefield as I play.
+Hacker activity is reducing after every patch.

- Cons:
- Matchmaking is unbalanced. The game right now is unforgiving to new players. I mean, lvl. 100+ player with lvl. 0 euipment, can play with lvl. 0 noobs with lvl. 0 equipment. They are slothered like cattle.
- Hackers. Most of the game is unhackable, but there are two main types of hackers - wallhackers (get shot in the head trough a brick wall) and recoil compensating mouse macro hackers (get shot with an smg on full auto from 50+ meters). The first are observed on the first several levels of equipment, the second are everywere, even on the highest.
-Too slow faction progression. Serious guys? I need a week full time on this game to advance a single lvl in the faction I play on, too much grind. The old system was better.
-Some weapons are OP, like the SVD, damn too little recoil for that semi automatic sniper...

In conclusion I would recomend the game, just download and try it, it`s free after all.

OVERALL RATING 9/10
COMBAT RATING 9/10
CURRENCY SYSTEM 9/10
MAP DESIGN 10/10

This game to me feels like dayz if the map was small , team based, and no looting. and it feels awesome :D
the game has nice graphics and a movement system that feels clunky but in a realistic way which just adds to the realism of it.in some maps there are also these radiation zones were if you step in to it you will get radiation and DIE...i learned the hard way :(. the weapons are really nice and it seems the premium currency used for the game to buy items is not over powerd meaning that you cant buy every gun with gold or item.also you get 100 gold to start off with and you can convert that into silver wich is about 50K silver im not sure but thats ALOT and you earn silver really quick so its not a grind fest like some other games to get a nice weapon. and the starting weapons are actually really powerfull especially the ppsh wich is a BEAST at close range but never the less i give this game a 8/10 because it has some issues with freezing up but its in early acces so its not gonna be like that for ever

Survarium, a FPS free to play. Still in a very early beta(0.28).
My toughts of this game are really positive.

- This game has a sound quality that u can't imagine, its so beautiful.
- The maps are very well made, none of the team has like a better spot, the maps are made equaly.
Graphics are something beautiful if you are interested in it. Still every character has the same voice, face, and movement,
we could need some improvements there, not really relevant now.
- Skill/faction is well made, just one of my thoughts is that, why the first 2 faction have like less armor and weapons?
The skills are very good, they arent really too powerfull, they are made just to help you out a little bit.
- Levels/drops, leveling, well its just a mather of time and/or kills, the more you kill the more you get experience, simple as in every game right?. The random loot drops after every mach are really good balanced, you dont find something unecesary overpowered. You can still find some good stuff on it and/or money.

My personal opinion, I really enjoy playing this game, waiting on more updates, im really into it. Can't wait the next update

Most of your team is always, undoubtedly, afk.

There is no idle kick timer.

There is no kick player funtion in the game.

So you're basically the only one playing against a team with more non-afk players than you.

GG

((Game is enjoyable but it is often very hard to find a game with teams of actual players that are not idle.

I often find myself joining games with both teams having afk players at each spawn where it is actually very easy to just sneak into the enemy spawn and get spawnkills over and over again.

Fix pls))

GOOD:
This game is of to an awesome start! I have had about 18 hours game time now and i love it. The game looks amazing (i play on ultra settings at 60-70FPS) i have not found any graphical glitches or bugs. All of the controls seem intuitive and simple. the game play is at a good speed (most of the time) and lobby's seem to be found within 1 Minuet. there is an option to spend money on the game, This is not a big issue because the items you get are obtainable with a little hard work, money just speeds up the process
Most of all the game is really FUN!

BAD:
Some of the little things on the floor will stop you in your tracks and you will have to spend a few seconds wiggling around to get off of them.
It is clear that there are "Best" guns that make most of the other guns not even worth buying.
there are a few people in game who are using aim bots but i have only seen 7-8 out of the hundreds i have played with.
some things like tree branches or tiny railings stop your bullets, even some leafs.
some of the SMG/Assult rifles seem to have the same range and accuracy as sniper rifles (may be hackers)

OVERALL:
Great game that i would recommend to anyone who likes FPS games after a bit of polishing and touching up this would be one of the best free to play shooters out there. 9/10

I love the concept of this game, the way you level up your character, the different factions you can join...
The levels are great, very immersive and a good size. Unfortnately, coming from Australia, I cant get a decent connection, so I pretty much cant play. But if the devs keep the updates coming and fix some bugs, this could be a really good game.

waited a few minutes to get into a match witch at first the game looked good runs fine you and the enemy fell even and not over balanced but then the game went to hell when some guy on my team thought it was fun to repeatdly team kill and ruin the game for us nothing like to see a team mate then having him gun you done after looking at you for 5 sec you know cuse he didnt mean to and thought you were an enemy. so yea get rid of friendly fire and it would be worth the 5 minute+ waite for a match to not be killed instanly by your "Team Mates". other then that is grate

Absolutely Stunning Free To Play Shooter

Overview:
Survarium is a post-apocalyptic free to play MMO FPS game. The game is primarily a first-person shooter, but also features several role-playing game elements.

#1 The Sound: A lot of attention & detail has went in to the audial end of this game, From the environment hearing the wind whistle in your ears to the blades of grass colliding with each other to the sounds of the foot steps when people walk to the weapons firing. You will be able to hear every footstep & gunshot every little detail in stunning beautiful deafening glory. The weapon sounds are especially great! they really pack a punch!

#2 The Atmosphere: Survariums post-apocalyptic atmosphere leaves absolutely nothing left to be desired, From its Abandoned cities & schools with over grown vegetation, To its Decaying waste lands, Ruined industrial sites & Its crumbling military bases, As mother nature begins to once again take over & rule with anomalies expanding across the planet with terrifying speed. There is so much beauty in this game. This game has a erie, creepy feel to it as well with its enemy AI in the form of mutants and environmental hazards such as anomalies.

#3 Game Play & Mechanics: The game is very solid it feels very realistic, From your player moving sluggish from having to much armor on or carrying heavy weaponry, To the penalty of not having enough armor on to protect you. The inventory system is very well thought out having to plan ahead for certain situations due to your player only being able to carry so much, Only having 2 profile customizations really makes you think on what items would be best for close quarters or long range, Am I going to be carrying to much weight etc. The games main system is so well thought out it really makes you think & mix & match things up trying to find that perfect combo of weapons & armor & items without feeling like a 500 pound gorilla walking around.

#4 Weapons & Damage: The weapons in this game are superb, From the way that they sound to the way they handle its very realistic & weapons really pack a huge punch!. The iron sights took me awhile to get used to but once I got the hang of it I was doing pretty decent. I can't stress this enough the guns in this game really pack a serious punch, Bullets really hurt if you get hit by a 7.62 bullet in the head you're dead period end of story you're done man you can't shrug off bullets like you can in other games. Like I said before with the bullets, But with armor it allows you to survive certain types of aommunition hits & this causes bleeding, You can bleed from any number of body part, Head, Chest, Legs, Arms & you have to bandage that up. The recoil on the guns is fantastic & as real as you can get, Example of this is the AK74M or AKM that thing kicks like crazy the recoil is extremely realistic but handles just great. Examples of me doing better with the iron sights see link here http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/539645482717945718/4FD2E3999B6C54F444CBF5734EC32EC47A420EEB/

#5 Hit Registry & Connection: My Personal average ping on this game is 110ms which in most games thats a bad ping, But in this game its actually a decent ping, There is hardly ever any lag that I can tell off all in all it runs really welkl connection wise. Hit registry isn't exactly perfect but its pretty spot on aim for the head & you hit the head, Aim for the chest you hit the chest etc. I have had maybe 10 games out of the 40+ hours & several hundred matches where I didn't get a hit marker & caused the other guy to bleed out. Hit registry is spot on!

With everything being said I might update this review later on & add more as new content becomes available! As the game stands now I give it a 9 out of 10!

Anyone saying the game is pay to win should know what they are talking about before they speak. All "premium" guns are available through loot drops though rare. Besides that you can upgrade any gun of equal lvl to give the "premium" guns a run for their money. I have heard some of the "premium" guns are actually worse after you upgrade your own. Don't listen to these people spouting nonsense. I highly recommend this game.

I saw it on Steam main page, so I download it.
After finish of download I spend another 2 minutes in their launcher (with downloading another 3 patches).
After that game starts. In windowed mode (I would like to know the reason for this design decision).
First thing in game I really want to see is setting. Here I got in into tutorial, fortunately in main menu.
Main menu is copy of WOT menu (Probably because players are too dumb for something else).
About tutorial: it taught me to replace the gun and then buy a ammo in menu. For default weapons ammo doesn't cost anything, but for everything else you need ingame money. Interesting. Another F2P FPS where you need buy your gear. How original. Well, they tutorial says to hit play button and instead of some matchmaking menu, or at least menu with choose of maps I was just throved into game.
So I was ingame (I had all settings on low case). Controls response were incredible slow, motion blur of all things in game. After that I quit.

11/10 would bang again...

...and I recommend this game because I ate banana...
