It is a good game, but what about shooting? There is a real problem with shooting.

Very similar to BlueCoats. Was great 20 years ago. Today is limited and too basic.

Because of the controls I can't recommend this game. In the mini-games you have the ability to duck but you really can't with a keyboard/mouse and try to fire at an enemy nearly at the same time. This should've been taken into consideration when porting this to the pc. And when in-game the menu-reminders take too much time leaving the screen. In other words, if your opponent fires at you? These irritating messages tell you something like that (even though you can see them doing exactly that on screen). There are many better options out there. Even the Sid Meir's Pirates would be better.

This is a tablet game ported to steam and copied from another game they did.
Not saying that's good or bad but i guess it depends if you like casual games.
If you like this check out the other game North vs south.

Gameplay
You have units that you can move on the main map to take areas and attack the opponent.
Capturing connecting bases gives you gold to buy units and other things.
there are 3 mini games
1)attacking = you have 3 kinds of units 6 gunners, 3 fast boats, & 2 ships with canons.
2)taking bases = your behind a barricade that you can use as cover and object is to shoot all the enemies that pop up before they shoot you.
3)attacking/defending gold shipments = jump and duck to avoid obstacles but you also have to shoot enemies jumping or throwing thing from the boats. defenders control when a guy attacks the hijacker.

The first thing you should know about the game is it was developed for iPads/touch, and little has changed with the port.

This is especially obvious when playing the mini-games, which are extremely difficult/impossible with keyboard/mouse, but can still salvage the game by choosing Automatic battles when creating a game. Sadly without the mini-games, this becomes a Conquest clone.

As far as multi-player, there is LAN only and share a PC options, so no internet gaming, if you were looking for that.

That said, for the $3 sale price it works.
