About This Game

'Dwarfs!?' offers an addictive, fast paced arcade-like experience, with plenty of difficulties and game modes to play around in!

As the new overseer for your underground Dwarf base, your job is to manage the small colony and make it as rich as possible, before they meet their inevitable doom! To survive as long as possible, you’ll have to steer and guide your greedy little fellows to the richest points in the caves, while avoiding all the dangers – so they don’t end up destroying your Town Hall and its essential supply of beer.

They explore for you, they mine for you and they fight for you - but if you don't keep an eye on them, they'll do what they do best: die for you and take everyone else with them. But, if all else fails when the Spider Queen comes for you – use the Outpost’s Dwarf Cannon and shoot Dwarfs at her!

There are only 3 certainties in this world: death, taxes and that Dwarfs always dig too deep!

God damn those dwarfs. think they are all grown in a potato cellar. they love to release water and lava to your dungeon, but the satisfying part is to blow them up with dynamite. pretty casual managing game, with a hint of lemmings. has some addicting qualities. i recommend

Try the free version before buying it. It's a hit or miss game.
Personal score: 7.5/10

LINUX USERS: Proceed with caution. A decent amount of people complain this game crashes in Linux.

A fun, easy, simple game. Easily one of the best games on my steam list. I'm not a fan of strategy games, but I loved this. I don't really have anything bad to say about it. If you like yogscast, Simon voiceacts a dwarf, It's pretty cool. 10/10

Diggy diggy hole, I'm digging a hole, and finding treasure, enemies, lava, and water! This game is anything but small, with a huge potential world and mine managing fun!

I heard about this game because Simon from the Yogscast did voice acting for it, and I was watching the Yogscast religiously at the time. The game itself is very straight forward and has a good variety of settings that allow for a few good rounds of playing before the game gets boring. I did enjoy the game, however simple it may be, but unless you really like flat, tunnel exploration, dwarf games, then this game is probobly not for you. If you can get it cheep, such as through Humble Bundle, them pick it up because it is a bit of fun and you can get some quick enjoyment out of it, however do not expect it to be overly emersive. I would compare it to a flash game like Flappy Bird, Temple Run and so on because it could be addictive to some people but in the end will not be a lasting hobby for any one. I will recommend it as a game because I did enjoy it, however I would not spend more than $2 on it.

A simplistic, easily approachable, fun little game. The game feels a bit short on depth, but the challenge lies in getting the highest score possible. The faster you expand, the higher your end score will be and the better the odds of your death along the way.

A variety of game modes keep it fresh for longer. The game lengths can range from 5 min to an hour, convenient when you only have a bit of time.

One of the best gaming experiences I've had in my ENTIRE life! As a hardcore gamer I can say I've played most popular video games. None come even close to being as good as Dwarfs!? With it's beautiful graphics and one of the most immersive story lines I've played in years, I can't recommend this game enough. I laughed, I cried, I met Bill Murray. I think that we all have a little bit of Dwarf in us, and this game has really showed me that. 10/10. Game of the year. Every year.

----Negitives----
Its a fun game n all but the AI is pretty bad at times.. For instance, I always get a bunch of my dwarfs trying to mine through the dam I had created to keep my city safe... Why? No clue... The dwarfs just ♥♥♥♥ing break anything they can. Even if that thing they're breaking is the very thing that keeps them safe from things like flood waters, monsters, lave, ect. It just gets frustrating ya know? Ive got all these political issues going on in my city and then to top it all off some dwarf with downs is mining through a ♥♥♥♥ing dam. Do they want to die or something? Am I playing the game so bad that the dwarfs would rather just game over then keep on living?
----Positives----
I mean, the game is still amazing though. You've got hours upon hours of content. Things like survival mode, tower defense, and mini games that just keep the game fresh. The game also has some nice graphics. I would say the art style of this game is a mixture of minecraft and team fortress 2. Very imurrrsive let me tell ya. I once invited some homies over for a sleep over and we spent the whole night roleplaying as dwarfs (JJ spilt DP (Dr. (Doctor) Pepper) on the carpet. I was so mad). We just sat in my room with our alienware laptops rping as dwarfs! It was soo much fun! And the thing is, we actually felt like we were in the game! The graphics are that good ♥♥♥♥a. So if you're down for a chill time and ready to be imurrrsed into the dwarf world, get this game. And who needs that ♥♥♥♥♥♥y Dwarf Fortress ♥♥♥♥ right? That crap is for babies. Anyway thanks for reading my review and have a good one.

Ok so the only reason I ever played this game to start with was to get an item in Killing Floor lol. But as it just so happens to be, this isn't a bad little game. It's simple enough in design but can yield a nice challenge.

Between the lava rushes and floods, mother nature can be one hateful ♥♥♥♥♥ in this game. You may think having only two environmental hazards would quickly become stale, but I didn't find that to be the case. They can be unforgiving.

There are several modes in Dwarfs?! but for the most part your goal is to mine as much of the map as you can, without your base being overcome before the time runs out.

In each game you'll have ups and downs contained within caves of unknown content until entrance that could either hold Gold, a Boss, mini-hoard, lava, or water.

You can spend in game currency to use blocks that block off cave systems and prevent your workers from breaching the containment area but be warned, if you block off the entire system without first discovering it's contents there will be a penalty in the form of a deduction from your gold... an important item I may add. One tactic you may want to try is blocking off all but 1 square then send in 2 workers with dynamite equipped in case it's lava or water. In that event it's best to sacrifice a worker to make a drainage hole in the earth and completely sealing that hazard, which will give you a bonus.

Along the way you may construct outposts with your gold and train warriors and workers. Good thing they put this in because the map is rather large and this will cut down on travel time during combat or intervention.

In the harder modes controlling your workers becomes extremely important. There are more hazards to be found and they flow faster so having 2 or 3 workers tap into separate conduits will be a quick death for you.

So that's the general idea, I'll let you explore the rest of the game for yourself :)

Oh yeah, don't forget about the Killing Floor award, whatever it was. Happy gaming!
