Fun game, only thing I dislike about this game is the lame plot and hidden achievements. Other wise get this game, you won't regret it.

At the end of the game Uni is best candidate, and Noire's the best girl...in the conquest ending.

The Positive
+Great Humor
+Fun Characters
+Combat
+Darker and more interesting story than the original
+Tons of unlockable levels, characters, weapons, ect
+Over the top in a good way
+Multiple endings

The Bad
-Grinding is huge in these titles
-Humor if you aren't a game history and anime nut
-Lots and lots of repeated environments and enemies
-Horrible pacing (This is the real issue not Nepgear as the main or darker story)
-Has more voicing then the other rebirth games, but still audio silent often

Conclusion
If your a fan you will need to pick this up especially since Re;birth3 is a direct sequel of this. If you aren't a fan of the series yet you will have to decide if referencial humor to games and anime are a selling point. Some people get this for fan service as well I guess. I'm mainly into the humor and insane content. The grind and other issues are all part of the games being made rapidly and on a budget.

Value
This is not a AAA JRPG, but instead a JRPG Graphic Novel hybrid with tons of jokes and fourth wall breaking.

I'll make this short
it's a good game...and yes i grind to 100million
everything is good except 50% of CG not rendered properly in event but if you go to galery there's no such thing and this game have bad optimization play it few hour and it feels heavy or if you tab out and tab in few times feels like pool overload and make the game acting weird, and sometime the game just froze out of nowhere for example gigantic enemy turn and loading screen

if you don't really bothered by that kind of problem and love this kind of game sure buy it...i have all of it for some reason

I have actually finished this game, and the PC port ain't bad at all! It's your everyday nep-nep game. Turn based J-RPG and cute girls doing cute things as an addition. But still, Nepgear as a main character is somehow boring.

Eh... is it just me or is black heart's voice in this game much lighter then what it was in rebirth;1? I remember black heart's voice is a bit deeper in rebirth;1 but rebirth;2 her voice seems really light for some reason

To be honest.... The biggest problems of reviwes it's how to start actually :D In this game the candidates in CPU are main characters. So yes if you see them in Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 1 just a bit when you have crafted a plan with them and saw just a few dialogs. Here you will see them from another side.At first from side of really weak girls and later from side of real candidates in CPU.The most of all you will not see goddesses only a bit at start and at the end. To unlock them after some chapter i haven't remembered actually it's 4 or 5 chapter. You have to make a share on each country on 50% and this is harder than in Re;birth 1 because there you just need to create a plan to get each sister and you will have them forever but in Re;birth 2 after you start a new circle you have to do it again and again. Don't forget that we have here 9 endings so it's at least 9 circles. This is not hard but you will waste alot of time for it. About endings. Some of them are useless for example why do you need endings about each country Leanbox ending, etcetera if there are few dialogs and nothing more? I really recommend to do these endings about countries and in the same time to do the oracules to each countries because in the ending you need 75% of share to get it and same with crafting plans to get oracules. Still we have some pics from every ending and this is good. Don't understnad actually why alot of people talk about Conquest ending it's just ending like others. Stop being sensetive. Actually this is the most realistic ending i ever seen. This ending shows us what is real world because in real world there is not happy ends. Please open your tiny eyes and look at our world not by eyes of dreamer who thinks that all will be better. Look at this with eyes of realistic and strong person. And you will see that we everyday do little or big sacrifice to get something what we want. This ending is not bad because of sacrifice this ending is bad because after we have made a sacrifice we still get almost nothing. We didnt get that result we wanted and this is the biggest problem of the ending. Like in real world. Well i and some of HDN fans were thinking about alternative ways of this ending and here we have a sword ending i could call this just a mix of conquest ending and true ending because from start this ending is the same like a conquest in the middle it has an alternative way how to solve this problem and closer to end we have the same as in true ending. What about gameplay part. In Re;birth 2 easier kill last bosses than in Re;birth 1 and easier to get all ultimate weapons and there is not exist that thing that you need to farm the armour and ornaments from hard bosses like in Re;birth 1. In Re;bith 2 we just dont have this and because of this i was using my old armour and ornaments and because of this i have got less armour of cource. In Re;birth 2 less dungeons than in Re;bith 1 and you can farm faster your level in re;bith 2 than in 1 part because if in 1 part most of people farm through collesuim in 2 part you can do it more faster in dungeons because of some plans. After all this you actually can get that i completed re;bith 2 way faster than re;birth 1. Oh and i almost forget about this pain called Stella's ☆ Dungeon levels it's just wow... in the last dungeon Neptral tower you need her 9 hours to finish the job and in True Neptral Tower you need 13 hours...how we even supposed to do it?Well anyway i have done it. I truly love this game and this series because it's giving me alot of emotions. I'm feeling every bad moment and im laughing cuz of every pervert joke. Of cource i recommend this game. And of cource i recommend community to relate. I mean HDN series fans.

Some challenges for me:
Complete everything: 999 lvl, beat all ultimate bosses and earn all ultimate weapons - done

Even though it uses the same engine and shares a lot of assets with the previous game, this is still an improvement

- About 90% of the game is voiced in english (It was somewhere around 30% in the previous game)
- There isn't nearly as much asset reusal as in the previous game
- Game runs smoother, no more freezes when enabling HDD
- More fanservice ( Charley horse skill ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )
- The CPU candidates are... well... cuter than their counterparts

The story is a bit harder to follow (apparently this is a parallel universe, which wasn't stated anywhere and caused confusion), but I personally found it enjoyable and less predictable

Overall: If you liked the first game (which I did) - you will like this one even more

To All Nep-Nep Fans That Actually Bought This Game Because of ReBirth 1

Review of ReBirth 2 :
Its fine. Really, Its fine.

ADVISE TO ALL PEOPLE THAT ALREADY BOUGHT REBIRTH 2 AND HAVEN'T PLAYED YET

  1. Please read some non-spoiler guide before you regret that you actually need to unlock colosseum BEFORE boss fight in LAN Castle to able to use it. Because you will find an EMPTY colosseum and you need to grind the SHARES using the old way : QUESTS.

  2. You might (or not) wanted to use the http://store.steampowered.com or you can find it (Re;birth 2 Retranslation patch) in the community guides section. (Credits to the creator)

  3. DO THE CONQUEST PATH FIRST OR NOT AT ALL

This game, while it does have a large amount of fan service, has other qualities that make it a worthwhile game to play. The game itself is fairly easy once the combo system is mastered and each character's skills are explored to the fullest. There is a welcomed increase in the variety of dungeon environments and map designs when compared to Re;Birth 1. The gameplay is fairly straightforward, the story is decent, and each of the characters have their own unique personalities that shine through in the dialogue. This game has many humourous moments portrayed through its dialogue as well. The characters are all unique and many of them are super cute! Character development is evident in the main characters and in the events found in each city that allow some interaction with the side characters. Many potential endings exist in the game, allowing for some replayability to try to experience each ending. The English version has only a few typos which I think is acceptable for a game that was translated from Japanese.

As for the cons... I know that this game was designed to have exuberant amounts of fan service, but I didn't like the fan service and I didn't buy the game because of the fan service. I was able to just skip most of it though. The remake system was a bit of a let-down for me since I missed out on a dungeon unlock that could only be found in a hidden treasure in one specific dungeon. Thus, I lost the ability to fight many of the stronger monsters and find many of the crafting items in later dungeons. Stella's Dungeon was lackluster since I finished the game in just a few days. Another con for this game was that the acquisition of the Gehaburn sword DLC at the beginning of the game basically made the game "ultra easy mode" if it was used. Don't use that sword if you want this game to have even an ounce of challenge to it.

In summary: Get this game if it is on sale! Whether you like fan service or not, this game has other elements that make it enjoyable regardless. Alongside the other games in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, this game is one of the most unique games in my entire library. Approach this game with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.

I am writing this upon completing the first run of the game, and seeing a non-canon ending (I chose to go after this one first, not knowing what I was in for). I have no words for what I feel right now.
I reccomend this, but if you're going for 100%, then I wish you good luck.
