Arkham Asylum is a triumph in every aspect. Combat, story (characters, voice acting, etc), atmosphere, sound design and even graphical fidelity.

This game captures what it is to be batman and my god its DAMN FUN. The developers going into making Arkham Asylum said "What can we do to make you feel like batman right away, as soon as we give the player control we want them to feel like a bad ♥♥♥. You feel like batman, the way your character is animated and moves, the freeflow combat system has you jumping around bruising bad people until the cows come home with some of the most satisfying combat I have played to date.

Here is a huge thing for me, and for all Batman fans. I watched the cartoon as a kid. Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamil all brought the cartoon and that world to vivid life. Well guess what guys, they got just about everyone from the cartoon to revoice their characters in Arkham Asylum, Harley, Gordon, Batman, Joker, Scarcrow etc.

It is an incredible cast and it immerses you so fully in the world you almost never want to leave. The world that Rocksteady has recreated is fantastic, with dark colors and almost a noirish feel to the game that sucks you deeper and deeper into the world. You truly ARE batman in this game. It reminds me of a mixture of the cartoon and Tim Burtons dark seedy take on Batman. It is truly a game to be experianced.

So would I recommend this game? Abso♥♥♥♥inglutely. If you enjoy 3rd person fighting games with smooth combat systems that just make you want to sing while you are playing them. THIS GAME IS FOR YOU. If you are a fan of the Batman universe, cartoon, or comics YOU OWE it to yourself to pick up and play this game. It is absolutely fantastic.
I would recommend this game to just about anyone who enjoys a solid, FUN game in every aspect.

Look in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane... it's super... wait no, wrong Super Hero... Although one thing is true, this game is super. For years we video gamers have asked for a super hero game that wasn't a garbage movie tie in or flat out horrible platformer. WB and Rocksteady games did just that with the Arkham series of games. Starting with the BD... that didn't sound right I meant Big Daddy known as Arkham Asylum..

Everything about this game just works, the combat is fun and challenging for the most part, While not the most overly difficult combat system ever created, if you don't stay on your toes you can be easily overwhelmed. Although by now this type of combat system has been used numerous times and perfected in other games, like the sequels to this game and Sleeping Dogs, it was flat out amazing and new when the game came out.

The story seems ripped right from a comic book..... Batman has captured the Joker and is hand delivering him to Arkham Asylum, on the way you get some awesome views of the batmobile and Arkham City, the setting for the follow up game.. Once inside the master villain joker puts his plan into full effect. I could go into more detail but trust me it's pretty amazing.

I would recommend this game to fans of Batman, fans of beat em up's, and generally anyone that enjoys good video games.... This is flat out a good video game. You'll enjoy it, money back guarantee... (if you want your money back though... don't ask me, cause I'm not giving it... this game is a masterpiece)

Batman: Arkham Asylum is a solid game. It has everything going for it: a good story, good gameplay, graphics, cut scenese, voice acting, combat, and stealth. If you weren't a Batman fan before, this game will change that for you.

It would be too easy to talk about Batman: Arkham Asylum in terms of the licensed game you do not expect, more beautiful than you believed and that should serve as a point of reference for productions of this type. It would be easy and would also be unfair, because that Batman does not even look like a security license, but a bell'action game, which capitalizes on the best ideas of the cornerstones of the genre, putting a cure and a completeness that is rarely achieved. At the same time, all the quotations, the way in which it was included the pivotal events of the life of man bat and how they have been represented some of the most charismatic enemies will delight fans of the comic, because the love Batman, who created this game, there is the entrance to the last meander of Arkham Asylum where you must venture.
