What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We rely on the early feedback of our players to develop the best possible survival game. Join our Community Hub forums on Steam and tell us what you want to see in Immune!
The funds also help us to add more content to keep players entertained in the long run.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around early 2016, depending on player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There's lots of content on our TODO-list like items, buildings, clothes, (female) characters, vehicles, special places etc. to finish this game giving it more depth.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Almost all features are already implemented and working, though sometimes in a rudimentary manner (like digging). The game world isn't finished and there's still lots of content missing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will drop till the game gets free to play some time soon. You get more valuable Steam Inventory item drops till then.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Join the forums or the official Facebook group of Immune and discuss your ideas with the developers and the players. We are very open and encourage players to talk to us.
Player feedback is very welcome!”

Immune 0.8.11 All The Small Things Update

What's new in Immune 0.8.11:

  • New hat case "Hat Case Flags"
  • Updated Steam SDK to hopefully fix the SIGILL problem (also known as "can't find servers" or "can't connect to a server")

  • Increased NPC respawn duration.
  • Improved car driving physics (tell me if you like it!).
  • You are not able to build near water anymore to avoid getting stuck in your bed on respawning.
  • Fixed bug where some weapons always had 1% condition in loot boxes.
  • Fixed mistakes in spanish and portuguese translations (thanks guys! keep it coming!).
  • Added more warning messages when the server is about to restart.
  • Cars don't explode instantly anymore, when you drive into deep water. They slowly take damage now.
  • Increased duration in which you get XP for dealt damage after your target died from 10 to 20 seconds.
  • You can now attack mission objectives with the left mouse button.
  • Moved car out of safe zone near H/Riverside to prevent killing in safe zones.
  • Added option to buy 5 keys at once.

This update is all about fixing small details, bugs and improving things. There is also a new hat case in the spirit of the europe football championship 2016. The case offers hats with flags of the countries containing the most Immune players (instead of just european countries).

The next update will contain skins for your characters! Here is a small preview:

Played the game a few hours now with friends and really enjoyed it so far, despite some downsides (see below). Would recommend.

Pros:
  • Fun co-op topdown survival game
  • survival elements - start with gathering wood, build wooden club, go harvest food, make fire and cook meat.. take over house to be save at night etc.
  • loot - weapons, armor, ammunition, hats! :D
  • cars for 4 people!
  • client/server stable so far, ping also good (EU server, connecting from Austria)
  • challenging - should think twice about attacking that NPC which is armed with a submachine gun ;)
  • friendly players - easy to group up
  • ranks/achievements
  • some PvP
  • admin online and helpful

Cons:
  • Content still a bit limited
  • Map still quite small
  • car bit difficult to handle
  • some bugs here and there - get stuck with car and explode e.g.
  • no sharing function for doors - might want to get a door each if you are 2 or more people

Would definitely recommend if you like coop/social games, especially survival.

I just can't recommend this game to anyone. This game has max 6 people online for a half hour, then goes dead on the north american server. People can build walls around your bed to trap you in if you die and it's seems to be geared towards this. I played not killing anyone and kept 100% karma most times that makes you a saint and immune to other players trying to kill you, so they will just run you over with the jeeps even in the safe zones and that kills you- defeats the whole purpose of being a saint. I will change my review if the developer decideds to do something about these issues. I think the lack of content and these issues are the reason why only a hand full of people play this game.

Sooo there's a tons of mixed reviews on this game and I can see why. People don't like the graphics and how the jeep drives and how just about for the first hour you play you die a lot wondering around trying to figure out exactly what to do.. This game is $0.99 which is less than the cost of a bottle drink. I have to say it sucked me in. Once you start organizing and collecting and base building it gets pretty interesting. It takes some getting use to but with friends it gets to be pretty dang fun. I mean it's not the best but for the price Its a decent game worth a play.
Graphics 5/10
Crafting 6/10 ( when u die you have to restart all over unless you have a base)
Community 9/10 (the people are usually all nice and pretty cool to play with)
For a dollar it's worth a play and is overall a good game.(pay attention during the tutorial)

You'd probably get shutdown from the game after playing it for a while since there isn't much content to go on with so far and lack of sound effects, yeah it has some but not enough to feel the game.

< Disclaimer!! I got this game for free for reviewing purposes >

Review update
They added missions, added steam inventories and the game is going to be free to play in a while.

I haven't really picked up on any major game differences than the first time I played it besides the missions and what not, I read and they made a few balancing stuff and added a few items.

Nothing too impressive on their journey so far.
You should probably wait for the game to become free since the progress it has so far is not as outstanding you'd think.

Whats in so far " edited the entire review "

- A big map and now with labels on it and a legend so you can actually know where you're going.

- Npc's where you can buy stuff from and accept missions.
Missions goes like "rescue, kill, destroy"

- The game has zombies, which were dull at first but their movement got improved now.

- Simple craft system with character level upgrades.

- You can build a fence and walls and doors to insure your base's security, can also use it as a troll move and put it in car spawn places or mission places which is really really annoying and i'd kill you irl if I knew it was you.

- If your internet connection is not good you'll feel the game being stuttery and really crappy.

- Sometimes the servers shuts down "not talking about resets " Like cant join them for a while, which sucks cuz my mission progress resets.

- Karma system to reward players who dont harm others and punish PK'ers

WALLS
I said before but I cannot stress this enough, players keep building walls on the areas where a car or weapons or WORST mission objects spawns.
So you can either quit the game or spend a lot of time endlessly bashing them hoping they'd break which takes a lot of time and you cant really know if you're actually attacking it since there is no soundeffect that suggests so.... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=565710702
This is bs

So yeah nothing much to go on with, you'd do better if you wait for the game to become free to play.
if you could get the game on a really cheap price you can do missions and sell the items on market and make 3x times the price you paid for it.

11/11/15 update in the bottom.

Fun game. Have 18 hours on record and still going, until I get to level 10 (Currently 6) and then will see what the updates bring.

I do have one suggestion to anyone reading this, don't listen to the bad reviews. Reviews that have 16 minutes in game are not worth the bytes they are wasting on Valve databases.

Currently the game is a bit empty but it can be expected (from time to time you will see other people and talk to them).
If bugs exist then they are really really not game changers (mostly just animals running away into the sea).
There is a lot to do and a lot to explore. Those that played the game for 16 minutes and tell you it is boring and there is nothing to do except chop trees, I chopped trees in the tutorial and maybe 2-3 trees ever since and I am still selling wood to the NPC. I have 18 hours on record and have only visited like 4 different cities, like 3 other places with crates and a bandit base, out of about 12 cities and bases or so.
The game is fun and pretty much one of the better early access games I bought.
Another thing I must add, the dev is really nice and takes into consideration all suggestions brought to him.
______

11/11/15 update:

So lately the game is far less empty. Usually playing with at least 5 players online and up to 11 (Europe server). PvP is not really part of the game, at least not for me. I was one time chased by a car which I managed to avoid being hit by with simply running to the opposite direction of where it was turning when it came near (The car mechanism is such that your turns are always drifts but you do get used to it).
