About This Game

Mayday! The Peggle Institute has been invaded by a host of other-worldly creatures. It's up to you, Peggle Master, to report to duty and shoot and bounce the critters to oblivion. Take your best shot with energizing arcade fun, now exclusively themed with art and sounds from The Orange Box!

Peggle Extreme delivers fast-paced puzzle action that combines elements of pinball and pachinko to create a truly unique game experience. As with the original Peggle, Peggle Extreme requires players to fire a metallic silver ball from the top of the screen, relying on gravity to propel the ball downwards while ricocheting off orange and blue "pegs". The goal is to clear all the orange pegs from the screen before running out of balls. A moving "bucket" at the bottom of the screen offers free balls, while green power-up and purple "bonus multiplier" pegs provide additional twists. Peggle Extreme features one power-up in the form of Bjorn the Unicorn, whose special takes the form of a "super-guide" sighting capability which enables players to see where there next shot will go beyond one or two initial bounces.

  • Master 10 levels of "Extreme" challenges
  • Conquer 5 Master challenges
  • Play against a friend or the computer in Duel Mode
  • Revel in breathtaking artwork and sounds from Half-Life: Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2
  • Replay and save your best shots

Peggle meets Half-Life and it's Free? o.O

I really like the Peggle games so I was excited when I saw this edition for free with all new levels and it has themes from the games in The Orange Box.
The creepy title screen surprised me with a Headcrab impaled and bloody by the Unicorns' horn and twitching. LOL. I like it.

This is a must have for any Peggle and Half-Life fan.

Great move from Popcap to introduce one of their best games to the people who never played it before.
Just get it, you can play 10 levels of Peggle for free. If you finish it, you can play it again. This is a great way to decide if you want to move on to Peggle and Peggle Nights.

This game guarantees for hours of fun, cursing and biting nails.

this game is awesome! other than the main menu screen, that is. what's amazing about this game is that half-life, portal and team fortress join forces with peggle masters to fight headcrabs, sentry turrets, etc. why do i dislike the main menu screen? IT'S REPULSIVE!!!! still, i can't say no to a great peggle game.

It's Peggle. It's FREE.

Oh and Valve has stepped in for some glorious headcrab, Team Fortress and Portal interaction too.

May only take you 30 minutes to play but come on - FREE PEGGLE

I like this game because I have always been a fan of Peggle, TF2, The Alien series, and The Portal series (The Orange Box.)
It is fun, but I prefer Peggle Deluxe over this. But that's just my opinion.

Before Valve crossovers were mere fodder for pre-purchase exclusives and newly released PC ports on Steam, Peggle Extreme dared to dream, by offering Orange Box customers a unique journey into a world where Peggle, Half-Life and Team Fortress collide for no apparent reason, creating a unique story where cute animals from Peggle rebel against the extra-dimensional invaders of the Valve multiverse (here portrayed as far more genocidal than Valve would have liked). In fact, it's the same MacGyver-esque plot device that Valve resorted to when they created the Perpetual Testing Initiative story for Portal 2. Mere coincidence????

... Okay, setting aside the fanman sarcasm, Peggle Extreme is really fun, mildly replayable, and worth trying if you're ever... bored, I suppose. Give it a try!

Peggle is a great game to waste some time on. Simple, arcade plinko-esque, and an extremely creepy theme.

Extreme Peggle! These Peggles are ****ing extreme to the max!
Think Peggles are cute? Think Peggles are friendly?!
The only balls these Peggles will touch are your testicles on the way to rip of your head!
Bonus points? More like bone points when these holy **** extreme ****ing Peggles hijack a huge globe and crash it into a elementary school!
WHY?
BECAUSE THEY'RE EXTREME THAT'S WHY!
NO ONE IS PEGGLE-SAFE!
TO THE MAX!

Since Peggle 2 doesn't exists on the PC, this perfectly satisfies my thirst for peggle.
It's just what you'd expect it is.

Peggle Extreme is a puzzle game but it is not a full game – it is only 10 levels long. It has the normal single player mode as well as several variant gameplay modes for the same levels, including Duel, Challenge and Quick Play.
The levels are inspired by Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
The gameplay is really simple, you shoot balls down into a board of pegs with the goal of hitting certain pegs to clear the level.
The game is really short, it is easily beaten in well under half an hour, and it's replay value is very limited.
Peggle Extreme is free and it is entertaining for the first twenty minutes but not for much longer.
