While the mega drive version may have worse gameplay than the arcade version, the music is so much better, and a extra mode and a extra level this is still a great version of the classic.

You and some friends vs an army of evil and dragon riders. Golden Axe is a classic that has lived in the minds of many who played it years ago. A challenging game as you pick from a Human warrior, an Amazoness, or a Classic dwarf to fight off enemies and kick little theives in the ♥♥♥ for magical potions. I will warn beforehand the game isnt too fogiving so expect to die a few times before you beat it.

This is another classic side scrolling beat 'em up game but somehow I did not enjoy playing it again as much as streets of rage. To do well at this you need to master the running attack which did not feel like a natural button combination for me. It does have the cool variety of magic spells and the creatures you can ride but overall I would recommend streets of rage games over this.
