I have spent lots of hours on this incredible game, leveling different characters.

I absolutely love the game mechanics and levelling system.
You must think a lot about skills of your character and every move you make in a combat to be succesful with the minimum loss.
There is a lot of strategy and in most combats, you can manage to lose close from 0 units if you are good.

That said, when you reach top level, you almost have nothing more to do and it becomes boring.
I do not like the free to play part, and would have prefer a paying game...

If you like HOMM2 and 3, you should try the game (with a mage character, which is way easier to heal your units)

Okay, look. It's not a bad game. Ignore these reviews. It's secretly a good game.

Yes, if you've played M&M before, you've played M&M before, and this is certainly M&M. But this is good fun! And you can play it co-op whenever you want.

If you have faith that you won't accidentally click "Buy 50,000,000 Logs for $100", then you'll have an unadulterated fun time, guaranteed. You must also avoid every other useless real-money purchase this game tries to shove down your throat. In all honesty, there are about three worthwhile real-money purchases you can make as you level up in this game. I'm level 29 on the web browser version, have had a blast so far and I haven't paid a dime for any of these purchases.

You might consider buying inventory space. Also, there are experience bonus shards that might be worthwhile. But Mount speed isn't necessary since it's kind of ridiculous of a speed boost for how small the screen is. Also, you can get every material from quests, by finding them on the map and for free about 4 times a day from your towns. So just uhh, play the game for free, and collect materials from your towns whenever you log in (they'll stack up quickly), and you'll be good to go. Don't spend a dime on upgrading your towns either, by the way; they are perfectly adequate without any real-money purchases whatsoever.

TL;DR: The game is fun and more than accessible without paying a dime. Worthwhile real money purchases include exp shards, a few inventory slots and maybe some endgame materials which you won't care to worry about until maybe 100+ hours into the game. Fun game, classic Might and Magic but online and extremely flexible co-op. Music can get repetitive; you can turn off the music.

i did spend some hours playing this title and one i must say without any doubt - i havent met any other dev/mod/support team that did so little to make this game playable (on steam) and almost gave no responds to reported problems on their so called game forum
its a really bad port from browser to browser-related steam game
im happy i didnt spend any dime on that crap, but its a damn pity i lost so much time on it
i dont recommend it unless some major refurbishment is made
for the time being - its a big no!

Linux user here.

Played this on Chrome, the Flash version. Worked perfectly, for nostalgia hits, I try it from time to time.

This particular version ... I get a white screen while trying to play. Checking the local content reveals a bad file, downloading it, gives a 0 byte sized file that does nothing. Downloading the whole game again also changes nothing. Not bothering with support, it just directed me to player forums and the above was their solution.

For anyone interested. It's an OK game, the battlefield fights are nice, but unless you pay, you'll waste a lot of time each day before starting collecting troops from various castles (not a problem early on, really really bothersome later).
And PvP ... don't bother unless you're willing to pay a lot. Because you can have multiple characters and transfer troops from one char to another. Making low level fights frustrating when you go against a bunch of archangels.

tl;dr. Linux version seriously bugged. Pay-to-win, but decent FB game otherwise.

Browser Game, Pay2Win, Lags like Hell, Micro Transactions

Critical Comments are gonna deleted and Users Banned in the Forums.

There are tons of good F2P Games out there, where People like to spend their Money just to help the Devs, but this is such a horrible P2W Game, what did they expect puting this on Steam? Good Reviews?

Disappointed. It's nothing like the real Heroes. Microtransactions shoved up my face since the begining.

You can't transfer your website account to the Steam platform, so all the dedicated players of this game will have to start from scratch. The developers want to force their player base to invest real money in their game again. Avoid.

I see an absolutely painful amount of potential here... Potential that has been completely and utterly ravaged by Free to play, pay to win mechanics. The microtransactions have taken this already struggling classic series and violated it in ways I can hardly express verbally.

All I can say is, Why? ♥♥♥♥ING WHY? Another classic series ruined by this crap.... first ANNO and Settlers, and now this ♥♥♥♥? I just... I just cannot justify buying another Ubisoft game because of this. Rest in peace, Might & Magic.

since the game is not worth to talk about, here is one of my favorite recipe; Crispy Coconut Chicken.

Ingredients; 2 egg whites
3 cups whole grain cereal (corn flakes or brown rice cereal recommended)
1/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut
1 pound(0.5ish kg) boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
Nonstick cooking spray

Preheat oven to 400-degrees F( 200 celsius). Coat a baking sheet with nonstick spray and set aside. Place egg whites in a bowl and beat until frothy. Place cereal and coconut in a resealable plastic bag; season with salt and pepper and crush well. Dredge chicken strips in egg white and place a couple at a time into the bag to coat with coconut mixture. Transfer to baking sheet. Bake for 6 to 7 minutes per side, until chicken is cooked through.

If you have the time and money for it, put the chicken strips in coconut milk for the night before.

1,00$ = 1000 Hero Seals

The 5$ package gives you only 4000 Hero Seals, worst deal in browsergame history. Only at 10$ you get the rate that is 1/1.

Let me hit you with some of the shop items:

Hero Seal packages:
4,00$ to 125,00$+Booster and "permits" for building, respec or "retries"

Player Portraits:
2,50$ or 5,00$

Pets:
4,00$ or 8,00$

Basic Resources:
0,50$ to 4,50$

Special Resources:
0,80$ up to 35,00$

Hero equipment RAFFLE:
0,30$ with a chance to be either rare or epic artifact (blue or purple) of the same level as your hero.
+2,00$ to "refine" said artifacts stats of your choice.

"Attire" aka Skins:
10$ * for each playable character

Showing a video of actual gameplay would be a deathsentence, because it's boring AF.

It takes 30 minutes to build basic troops I suspect that higher tier units take a lot more.

This game is whalebait and if you spend money on this game you are officially a whale and should go extinct.

Have a good day.

This isn't even pay to win, it's more like free to log in, pay to play. Basically everything in the game has to be bought with real money - units, resources, everything. You do get some resources and units for free, but so slowly that you won't be able to play more than a few minutes each day unless you're willing to pay.

The game is designed completely about making you spend money. It's balanced so you can't avoid heavy loses and have to pay for units if you want to continue playing. Creatures' fighitng strength depends on your level as well, so there are no easy fights and you actually become weaker as you level up. The same fight that you won with 65 archers and 65 sentinels with moderate losses will be lost or result in heavy losses with 180 archers and 90 sentinels.

Same with buildings. The upgrades are so expensive and provide so little that you won't ever want to build them except for a quest.

Can't recommend. Try HOMM3 instead.

Updated video cause I'm an idiot :P

A pretty generic mobile game where you have to pay out your rear for more troops, spells, instant revives, instant build this instant build that. It has a very cunky UI too with many loading screens.

Feel free to watch my preview of frustration, it's hard for me to recommend to anyone unless you really are bored and looking for time to kill. You could also watch my preview if you also got time to kill as I would recommend it over this game. haha :)
