Forced use of uPlay. While this wouldnt normally be much of a problem, I can't actually sign up for a uPlay account either through the client (which updated *5 times* before I even got to the log in screen) or through the actual site. Meaning the only way I can theoretically play this game is by pirating it. GOOD JOB UBISOFT!

Man, I hate racing games, and I absolutely loved this game.

What's not to love? A lot of cool cars, a funny and engaging 80's style buddy cop story (complete with "Last Time On Driver: San Francisco..." every time you load a save), and lots of fun and interesting challenges that organically ramp up in difficulty!

Well, I guess the fact that the cars sometimes feel like they're driving on ice, and there are some vehicles you can't even accelerate during a turn without immediately spinning out - eh but you can work around that.

The only other Racing game I own is Burnout: Paradise City, which encompasses everything I hate about racing games: no plot, no narrative, hell, not even a person inside the car just an empty driver seat, and there's just challenges dumped on the map with no rhyme or reason to them.

Driver: SanFran is the opposite of that, it feels well put together and organic - and that's before you add in how you can astrally project out of your body and possess other cars in an instant. IT'S GREAT!!

I installed flawless widescreen, which allowed me to increase the fov, and played it on cockpit view for hours. It controls well with both keyboard and controller and runs well in my pc. The story is kind of meh but the fun of driving around the city makes up for that.

Disclaimer: I haven't tried multiplayer.

This is a fun game that doesn't take itself seriously. You can switch and control different cars to finish your objectives, you can either finish a race or event normally or you can control other cars to wreck the other racers for you.
There's a bunch of licensed official cars and there's a bunch of driving events such as police chases, racing, defending an armored van, etc. The story is alright, it's somewhat entertaining but nothing special. I'd recommend it if I wanted something simple to play for a short while.

Epic & funny game! The funny part is making big giant crashes on the freeway, & glitching trucks into the air. The epic part is the story, & proper licensed vehicles!

A bit like the story style of the La Noire and the Mafia series of games crossed with GTA and the Dukes of Hazard. Action packed and story rich.
