Do not buy! Please, save your money.

Ubi's slick-looking but ultimately extraneous interface, uPlay, will not launch the game.

My son played this title regulary, never running into problems with uPlay. But now, after re-installing it after many months of not playing, we find that the game will not even launch! Right after clicking Play, a "Your game will open in Steam" or some such message appears, then the gameplay summary window appears. No error messages to indicate what's wrong--just a window stating play time was zero minutes. Oh, and "Thank you for playing ...."

This is not an isolated problem--others have tried reporting this problem at Ubi's forums and Ubi's only response is to fill out tickets. Any solutions that are given, e.g. creating a 'graphics.ini' file, work for only one person; the supposed solution does not work for everyone.

By the way, the only reason the community new about a possible 'graphics.ini' soltuion was because a community member was kind enough to post what he/she was instructed to do be email; Ubi's moderators / support staff didn't post it. Ubi continues to tell players to post tickets.

1. It requires Uplay.
2. The Uplay install from steam leads to a Uplay version that crashes on launch. You have to uninstall Uplay an then download it from the Ubisoft website for it to work.
3. Driver: San Francisco crashes at launch and you can never play the game.
4. You need both Uplay AND Steam on to play the game.

It only says 47 minutes play time because Steam logs playtime until you exit Uplay rather than untill you exit the game because Steam/Uplay integration is useless. I'm sure the game is fun, especially as it is supposed t ocome back to its Driver roots, but a second DRM layer, and a game that does not start means that I can't recommend it.

I love the look of this game now i barely have any game time on record and why? Because f****ing Ucrap, i can't even load the game because it needs a f***ing product key and every time i enter it it pops up with even more complete bull**** its so terrible and thats because uplay, the game would have been better if uplay wasn't so greedy or had even existed in the first place. So i do not recommend this game unless you find a way to fix this i have done much troubleshooting to find whats wrong but to no avail. And every dumb uplay employee says the same: Hi, so and so we are sorry to hear your game isn't performing correctly maybe these steps will help. 1. Do some bull**** thats not gonna work 2. Same as step 1 3. call the Help and Support station. And im not joking i've seen them do this crap on every single form. So save your money and buy something playable

5/10 Looks great but can't even run it

Warning! Doesn't work at all on a single-core processor. When trying to start it gives a message about upgrading to a dual-core processor and you can't go further. :-(

This Driver is welcomed as I didn't like Driver 2 or 3 ( Or the PSP one, Driver 79? Something like that )

This Driver game is about driving and doesn't feel like it's trying to be a third-person shooter which really didn't work!

One thing I love about this is the Real-Life car Brands.. Ford's, Lamborghini's, McLaren's Etc...
The cars are obviously American as I saw a lot of Chevrolet's which are pretty rare in the UK anyway...

--- Personally, This felt like Midnight Club: Los Angeles without the customisation.. I doubt anyone would agree however.

+ Graphics are pretty nice, a little ugly occasionally.. but near-enough perfect for me...
+ Cars handled nicely, I enjoyed it.
+ Being able to drive anything without punishment is amazing
+ Movie Scenes were insanely fun! Cop chases and everything! AMAZING.

-Cutscenes looked much better than the game (This bothers me a lot)
-Physics sometimes glitched but.. this is a minor complaint...
-Storyline was short and personally a bit boring and random...

Overall probably 7/10 sounds good to me.. Good driving game, however could've been better!

( NOTE: Get the Normal Driver:SF, the More expensive one adds nearly nothing.. Taxi Mode is just racing in taxis and on Mass Chase you can't be the cops so... )

This game is a hunk of sh@t. I coulden't even get a chance to play it because when i opened the game 3 hours worth of content had to be downloaded and get this WHEN IT WAS DONE UPLAY CRASHED!!!!!!! I've been trying to fix it but god damnit its not working. And the game itself looked fun when I saw NerdCubed play it. But unfortanitly it doesn't play. If you are going to get this game, get it on like a stronger computer or if lucky get it on consoles, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
