About This Game

STARTING A CLUB IS ONE THING... RUNNING A CLUB IS A WHOLE OTHER STORY!

Cherry Tree High I! My! Girls! is the sequel to the popular slice-of-life adventure game Cherry Tree High Comedy Club by developer 773, and picks up the story where Cherry Tree High Comedy Club left off, but this time as a kinetic (single story branch) visual novel and adds new areas, new music, and three new characters to the roster!

Overview

Now that Mairu and friends have successfully re-opened the club, they actually need to act like a club! Mairu’s nemesis Chitose hasn’t given up on closing them down just yet, so they’ll need to be careful! But Chitose isn’t the only problem that Mairu and friends have to face... A rival club is competing for the spot of number one entertainment club, and a new transfer student will forever affect the Comedy Club line-up!

*PLEASE NOTE* CTHIMG is definitely NOT the end of the Cherry Tree High story, and does leave a couple of major plot elements open for resolution in the next installment.

New Characters:

★ Ai Fujino ★

Ai Fujino is the real-life and super-secret identity of the national pop idol ‘Ai Towano’. Her wonderful singing ability, dancing sense, and cute looks have made Ai Towano nationally famous, but the glitz and production of her performances conceal her true identity, and her true name and private life have remained well-guarded secrets.
Despite her fame and adulation from fans, Ai aspires to be something more in life than a pop idol and, to fulfill that dream, she decides to transfer to Cherry Tree High School.

★ Imari Kobayashi ★

A third year student at Cherry Tree High School, Imari is the talented club president of the Classical Comedy Club. Under different circumstances, she and Mairu might have been the best of friends, but as head of the competing comedy club, they are now arch rivals.

★ Utena Katakura ★

A female teacher at Cherry Tree High School. Her poise and flair for drama have led to rumors that she once performed in a certain theater troupe. At any rate, she is a woman of irrepressible character and seems to be friends with the original Comedy Club founders then Grinmeisters, and also with Dina Delaney, manager of the Unity Dorm...

Features:

★ The Cherry Tree High Comedy Club story continues in linear visual novel format!

★ 12 chapters: 7 main chapters and 5 sub-stories
★ 3 new characters
★ New backgrounds
★ New music
★ 2-3 hours of gameplay

A direct sequel to Cherry Tree High Comedy Club. This time it's a kinetic visual novel. The plot this time around is that the club is now formed and a pop idol has decided to transfer into Cherry Tree to follow her lifelong dream of comedy. It's more or less a slice of life anime in visual novel form. It's cute & well written overall. I was able to read through it in just under 2 hours. If you're a slow reader then this will probably take around 3. It definitely does not overstay its welcome. I also love how the game is split up into "Main Episodes" & "Sub Episodes". If you just want to read the main plot and avoid any sort of side story or filler you can easily. Sub Episodes pop up after every chapter or two and you can read them if you wish. They don't effect the main plot in any way and are just cute little scenes to break up the main plot. I loved how they handled it.

If I were to have any complaints it's that there is no way to view previously read text, save mid chapter or set the game at any resolution besides 640x480 (Windowed or Fullscreen). The steam overlay also doesn't seem to work either. It's nothing serious and it barely hurts the game at all! Would reccomend to all fans of the first game!

Comedy gold mine, this series. Love it. Always manages to get a laugh out of me.

"Cherry Tree High I! My! Girls!" doesnt have interactive gameplay components like the previous one and is just a visual novel, in case that is important to anyone.

Weird title, weird game. Fun though.

The game's a visual novel, featuring a group of students forming a comedy club, and having to deal with completely random, and definitely insane, events.

We were pleasantly surprised at the nice graphic style, decent sound, and good translation. The humour was also great, so definite win there.

Yeah, its a visual novel now. You basicaly just click on the space bar a lot of times. But is that bad? Absolutely not. Some people may miss Cherry Tree High Comedy Club(the older game) gameplay, where you could do some random tasks, talk with poeple and walk around town, but the story is still great. If you liked the predecessor, you should buy this game. Its cheap, its kawaii, its fun,i dont know...it feels and looks nice, even with some weird bugs sometimes. Its like watching an anime. A slice of life anime. Its great!

First of all I would like to say that I am really happy with the new Japanese names and all.

I had a fun time with the first Cherry Tree game.
This game though, takes it even further. I really love how they continue with the story.
I also like the new characters, they make a really great combination with the characters who were already in the game.
The game also shows the relationships with people of all characters instead of only the main character, I am not going to spoil.. but this game really chose the right way.

If you loved the first game, you will enjoy this game even more! It is a very nice part two.

Overall , this is not a bad sequel to the Cherry Tree High Comedy Club. Translations are well done with jokes that makes me laugh here and there.
My only disappointment is that there's no simulation part like in the 1st game, so it feels like I'm just reading a visual novel.

If you like the 1st game, this one is a must have.

IN AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE WHERE CHERRY TREE HIGH WASN'T LOCALISED TO BE AMERICAN
FIVE GIRLS AND THEIR FRIENDS CONTINUE THE LEGEND
THE LEGEND OF TELLING JOKES AT SCHOOL
THIS TIME WITH IDOLS
I CAN'T REALLY MAKE A JOKE ABOUT IT HERE, IT'S HONESTLY PRETTY SHORT

Short but sweet.

If you are expecting something substantial you will be disappointed. The game can easily be finished in just a few hours.

Neither would I call this really a sequel to CTHCC. It is at best a short addendum or spinoff of the first game. There isn't much in the way of story, it is more a nice way to revisit the characters you know and love and spend a little more time with them.

The game is definitely not recommended for those who have not played CTHCC, you will get little to nothing out of playing this. If you have played though and loved the characters, this is a short and fun little addition to that story.

If you’ve already played through Cherry Tree High Comedy Club and are simply dying to know the fate of the club as a new school year begins, or if you enjoy flat, two dimensional high school teens form a comedy club to talk about anything else except actual comedy, then by all means, pick up Cherry Tree High I! My! Girls! on Steam right now. If you never played the original game or if visual novels aren’t your bag, you’re better off saving your money and your sanity. Full Review.

Hey remember how Beyonce used to always brag about all "killtaculars" and "killimanjaros" she got in HALO 2 and HALO 3? And then because she was such a big fan of those games that she wrote that one song about them? Well I really hope she writes a song about CHERRY TREE HIGH I! MY! GIRLS! because this visual novel is awesome! The whole time I was reading it, all I could think about is how much better HALO would've been if it had been a visual novel starring anime girls instead of *yawn* gun-toting cyborgs. Also I really liked how no one at Cherry Tree High thinks Mairu is funny and she's a comedy genius!

9 out of 10 Comedy Soulmates.

I got really excite when I found they made a sequel to the management game I loved. When I tried it, it was nothing at all like the first. In fact, if they had an auto text, you wouldn't need to press a button at all only to pick an episode. I wouldn't mind if the story was different or entertaining but it's exactly the same as the first where there's little character development and story. All that's changed is that there's a few new characters but you'll never learn much from them. The game hinted there'll be another installment. I hope it'll actually be like comedy club or have any kind of gameplay at all.

Continuing where the last game left off. While it's not a "game" like the prequel and more like a collection of short stories, it is really an enjoyable experience.

Not recommended for those who haven't played the first game.
