fast-paced and ultimately solid, very adept for quick bursts of play. visual design is all queued from diablo, but the heart of the game is 90s fps. kill lots of things, explore a large map, kill lots of things, find keylike things to progress, kill lots of things. at later points of the game the entire screen will be filled with zombies. the bloodbath is as good as imagined. shooting never feels maligned; no disconnect from how you think things should work. it feels great to play and that's what matters most.
enemy variety is good, the game holds up throughout its length. nothing will really require you to stay on your toes, but you can't approach everything the exact same way. to compound this, there are stats that your character earns on level ups. it's more novel than anything because it really doesn't matter what stats you pick but at least there's personalization. cash is split between immediate things or gun upgrades, on paper. you get so much cash though you're free to buy everything. which is the way I'd want it anyway
the soundtrack is bland and the graphics are just serviceable. even if the game is fun to play, it won't have anything close to a lasting impact. to get into this game you have to be into mindless killing, single player arena style fps, or badly needing a zombie blasting game. the game isn't bad but that's it. I had a lot of fun playing it, but it's short length and steep price tag need be considered
