An enjoyable top down shooter with a plethora of enemies to destroy. However this games feels like a quick money grab since its almost exactly the same as the original game. If you already have Alien Shooter 1 already rather stick with it and dont look at getting Revisited. Additionally the game has one of the WORST camera's ive had the misfortune of dealing with. My advice is rather stick with AS 1 or AS2.

This game from Sigma Team is an easy to pick isometric shooter.

Despite it's age and graphics, the fun factor is great.

Also, the small but effective improvements you can buy allow you a bit of customisation
on the gameplay style.

Different weapons ARE different, and you have to be careful with reload times.

Hordes and hordes of aliens come to get you. You can also use the environment on your
favor, like doors , corridors ans such.

Sound assests are good. When you mix aliens with explosions, grenade launchers and mayhem,
it gets really really rewarding.

Usually this game along with others (from Sigma Team) appear on bundles,
or heavily discounted not only on steam but also in other sites (i.e. Indie Gala).

When you are bored, and want a quick and mindless session you can fire a chapter
, or even play a survival session.

Play it with v-sync off, to avoid some problems.

It runs on a toaster, so it's perfect for those (like me) that have ancient hardware around.

This game was HARD. I've played several of the Alien and Zombie Shooter games and always had a good time, but this one was maddening. Even on normal difficulty, they barely give you enough money or ammo to fulfill the tasks in each level. Easy mode recommended.

Pre-Release Review
Like alien shooter, but with shiny graphics that only look 5 years out of date, frantic shooting of bad things with teeth etc.

Alien Shooter: Revisited is a remake of sigma team's arcade shooter alien shooter with some new features from alien shooter 2
.improved graphics engine from AS2
.ability to use implants to improve stats (not present in AS1)
.you can now have multiple med kits (revives you after death without costing you a life)
.weapon classes(pistols, shotguns, miniguns, exc) in AS1 there were no clases now there are multi types of each weapon you can use
.two other game modes survival and gun stand (see my zombie shooter reveiw for more info on this)
.also you can get better flashlights for better view of the dark levels(not present in AS1)
.the miniguns rate of fire is now to fast 1900 bullets go by way to quickly
.the pistol can runout of ammo now so you have nothing to fall back on in later levels
.the reload feature that was not present in AS1 but introdused in AS2 can cost you because caged corners require non stop bullet hail
.you dont get as much money as you do in AS1 making ASR harder
the money thing is a problem because it means it takes longer to buy the big guns that kill 10 aliens at a time and by level 4 a minigun is requierd, even more so on higher difficulties
*hint save up during levels 1-3 so you can buy the minigun *

ASR is a decent remake it has many features AS2 has and that sorta kills it, ASR is more of a different game than AS1
but still if your crazy about the shooter series you should get this theres a pack that saves you 5 dollers than indivisual prices anyway
