About This Game

The Star Wars® Saga continues with Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ II, the highly anticipated sequel to the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever created. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the world was introduced to Darth Vader’s now fugitive apprentice, Starkiller—the unlikely hero who would ignite the flames of rebellion in a galaxy so desperately in need of a champion.

In the sequel, Starkiller returns with over-the-top Force powers and embarks on a journey to discover his own identity and to reunite with his one true love, Juno Eclipse. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Starkiller is once again the pawn of Darth Vader—but instead of training his protégé as a ruthless assassin, the dark lord is attempting to clone his former apprentice in an attempt to create the Ultimate Sith warrior. The chase is on – Starkiller is in pursuit of Juno and Darth Vader is hunting for Starkiller.

With all-new devastating Force powers and the ability to dual-wield lightsabers, Starkiller cuts a swath through deadly new enemies across exciting worlds from the Star Wars films - all in his desperate search for answers to his past.

Key features:

  • Continue the galaxy-altering journey of Starkiller, Darth Vader's fugitive apprentice, that shapes the key events between Star Wars: Episode III and Episode IV.
  • Unleash the Force with more power and precision through improved controls and new powers, such as the deceptive Mind Trick, which turns enemies against their allies.
  • Discover the true power of Starkiller with Force Fury, where his attacks and Force powers are exponentially increased.
  • Improved targeting system enhances precision use of Force powers and greater interaction with puzzles and the environment.
  • Take combat to the next level with the ability to wield dual lightsabers and punish enemies with all-new combo attacks.
  • Experience the most life-like interactions with Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) coupled with euphoria from Natural Motion Ltd and the powerful Havok Physics system.
  • Expanded customization options such as new costumes and power-enhancing lightsaber crystals.
  • Fight through all-new challenge levels designed to test and hone your fighting and Force power skills.
  • Skillfully manage your combat techniques to defeat a variety of brand-new enemies, which will culminate in epic boss battles.
  • Immerse yourself once again in the story that was honored with awards from the Writer's Guild of America and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

This game is so fuuun if you like messing around with reality-like physics. I remeber playing the first one on the wii and i have the first one on my PS3 and that was fun and guess what? This game is TWICE as fun! Introducing new features this time your completly against the empire because of the last game so there is no fighting the rebels you can use the force and throw stuff around you throw people at people. People dont kill people Dead people kill people! I recommend if you like star wars and throwing things around. P.S it uses the same physics engine as HL2!!!

Fun to play but the first one was better.
Also, if you make repetitive jumping puzzles, glitchy edges on platforms, and a game that cannot keep up with itself then this is the game for you.

This game is the equivalent of a single, long level from the first game. I kinda liked it whilst I was playing through it but at the end I was just left thinking "is that it?". Really disappointing tbh

The combat system was a million times better then the first game, more fluent, more action, and just cooler looking. The enimies where alot more diverse and really kept you on your toes on having to switch fight styles. Only thing i did not like was the game was much too short as compared to the first game. Altough it was short the story was very well done and thought out.

If you enjoyed the first game then you will enjoy the sequel, if not then you may be scratching your head on some of the combos and gameplay. The second one streamlines the upgrade system, better graphics and sound however the game is pretty short (~5-6 hours). There really is not much of a story and there are only a few variations in scenery. Still worth it if you want to use jedi powers and play a fun 3rd person slasher.

This game falls just above the "no" mark, with subpar graphics and more of the same gameplay as the first. Granted, the glitchiness that everyone saw in the original game no longer is around; the thing can be run on a microwave. Though I still can't get over the fact that this still feels like a poorly done port.
You'll see what I mean when you hear the soundtrack and the fact that it doesn't sound like something from Star Wars at all. It sounds like some kind of orchestrated piece meant for an action movie in space, but not a STAR WARS action movie in space. It's just not all there, something is very much missing and I can't bring myself to forgive the design team for this flaw.
And what the hell was going on when they decided to write the story for this game? This is Star Wars we're talking about, not Star Trek or Battle Star Galatica. Star Wars has a very strong signature when it comes to story telling and anyone who grew up with it knows exactly what I mean. This just doesn't fit the structure at all, and with the strange soundtrack this game seems almost like a parody rather than canon material.

The powers are mostly the same: force push, force pull, force lightning, and mind trick (which I'm not certain was in the first installment). They all feel bland and unpolished, but do add something else to the game which keeps it from getting too reptitive.
Though, repetition is still everywhere and if you've played the first then that's exactly what you can expect from this one. But not everything is bad about that, considering the combat does still flow pretty well and the original cast of voice actors are all back again. Mission wise, it's the same thing over and over again, do not expect it to change. There's little diversity given to what is offered besides fighting enemies or finding an objective. Free roam would actually be a nice change, too bad it wasn't included.
If you're deadset on buying this game, wait until it falls into the single digits during a sale. DO NOT spend over $10, not even if you're a hardcore Star Wars fan. And if you've played the first, know that this one will be the same thing over again but with different (and less) costumes.

Graphics 6/10
Playability 8/10
Gameplay 6/10
Soundtrack 4/10
Story Telling 3/10

Overall Score 6/10
