About This Game

The Star Wars® Saga continues with Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ II, the highly anticipated sequel to the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever created. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the world was introduced to Darth Vader’s now fugitive apprentice, Starkiller—the unlikely hero who would ignite the flames of rebellion in a galaxy so desperately in need of a champion.

In the sequel, Starkiller returns with over-the-top Force powers and embarks on a journey to discover his own identity and to reunite with his one true love, Juno Eclipse. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Starkiller is once again the pawn of Darth Vader—but instead of training his protégé as a ruthless assassin, the dark lord is attempting to clone his former apprentice in an attempt to create the Ultimate Sith warrior. The chase is on – Starkiller is in pursuit of Juno and Darth Vader is hunting for Starkiller.

With all-new devastating Force powers and the ability to dual-wield lightsabers, Starkiller cuts a swath through deadly new enemies across exciting worlds from the Star Wars films - all in his desperate search for answers to his past.

Key features:

  • Continue the galaxy-altering journey of Starkiller, Darth Vader's fugitive apprentice, that shapes the key events between Star Wars: Episode III and Episode IV.
  • Unleash the Force with more power and precision through improved controls and new powers, such as the deceptive Mind Trick, which turns enemies against their allies.
  • Discover the true power of Starkiller with Force Fury, where his attacks and Force powers are exponentially increased.
  • Improved targeting system enhances precision use of Force powers and greater interaction with puzzles and the environment.
  • Take combat to the next level with the ability to wield dual lightsabers and punish enemies with all-new combo attacks.
  • Experience the most life-like interactions with Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) coupled with euphoria from Natural Motion Ltd and the powerful Havok Physics system.
  • Expanded customization options such as new costumes and power-enhancing lightsaber crystals.
  • Fight through all-new challenge levels designed to test and hone your fighting and Force power skills.
  • Skillfully manage your combat techniques to defeat a variety of brand-new enemies, which will culminate in epic boss battles.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is a third-person fighting game from LucasArts. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is a sequel to the first game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II has quite similar but enhanced gameplay from the previous game, yet I think its kinda simplified a bit too. Still good, you get to use the lightsaber and swing it on stormtroopers or AT-ST. But the whole story, the chapter is too short and I think it's somewhat repetitive. Using the same key combo to finish AT-ST and their kind, the boss fight, it's kinda boring. The challenge is not a good addition too for me. It's good to swing lightsaber on many stormtroopers, using force lightning and all, but the repetitive level kinda ruin it all.

The graphics of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is good, great in fact, if only the gameplay are that good too. The frame rate are good, no lags so smooth and the textures are beautiful. But the game is not stable as sometimes the game like to crash to desktop, especially on newer operating system. But the compatibility mode should help.

Overall, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is an average sequel, not bad but not that good too. The story is good, but too short. I recommend this if you're Star Wars fan like me.

If you enjoyed the first game then you will enjoy the sequel, if not then you may be scratching your head on some of the combos and gameplay. The second one streamlines the upgrade system, better graphics and sound however the game is pretty short (~5-6 hours). There really is not much of a story and there are only a few variations in scenery. Still worth it if you want to use jedi powers and play a fun 3rd person slasher.

This game is 4 years old now, and I believe it is time for a new review. My standards for review scores are 10 starting points, and -1 point for everything done wrong. Before I continue, I need to state that I am not biased towards any particular gaming company or extended universe/lore. I review the game as it should be reviewed -- as a time waster. Things done right in this game are below:

Great Graphics

Lightsaber Combat and Force Powers Done Right

Many Customization Options (Including several costumes [Just for aesthetics] and many lightsaber crystals which give you different upgrades)

The game has done a good job with capturing the atmosphere of the environments, especially Kamino

Things done wrong are below:

The Story is atrocious, no debate. And with the story being a major point of any game, an extra point is taken off. -2 points.

The player character is a mix of blandness and unoriginality, however, at times, you can feel like an indestructible god, choosing who lives and who dies which provides a fun experience. Not enough to keep a point, however, so -1 point.

Finally, Quick Time Events (QTE's) are abundant, and repetitive. -1 more point.

The final score for this game is: 6/10. While being a good Star Wars game, it still has enough flaws to put it at an average rating. In my opinion, if you haven't gotten this game yet, get it. Even though it doesn't have the highest rating, it can still be a lot of fun if you don't play a game for the story, but to waste time and have fun.

This game is really more of an animated star wars movie where you control all the (lengthy) fight scenes. As long as you don't expect it to last too much longer than a movie, you wont be disappointed. What it (still) does really well is make you feel very powerful. You're a true master of the force having awesome powers, and it feels great.
Seeing as you can complete it so quickly, I'd get it in a sale or something. It was pretty much a rip off at the launch price, but now for 5 bucks or so, it's good for a few evenings of good fun.

So you're looking down in the reviews seeing a mixed reaction to this game. Well, there's some stuff to like and some stuff to dislike about this game.
Pros:
- Story is good! It was an enjoyable ride.
- Graphics are really good!
- The combat feels good an isn't a pain in the butt to do.

Cons:
- It's a short game. You'll be lucky to get over 10 hours after the first run through (I played it twice).
- While the combat is good, it's also repetitive. Same with many of the boss fights. During the game, you'll probably master how to beat most of the enemies within the first hour or two.

So if you're a fan of Star Wars, and you're up for a cool, short adventure, I highly advise that you grab this game in a sale!

This game is so fuuun if you like messing around with reality-like physics. I remeber playing the first one on the wii and i have the first one on my PS3 and that was fun and guess what? This game is TWICE as fun! Introducing new features this time your completly against the empire because of the last game so there is no fighting the rebels you can use the force and throw stuff around you throw people at people. People dont kill people Dead people kill people! I recommend if you like star wars and throwing things around. P.S it uses the same physics engine as HL2!!!

All do respect to my fellow Star Wars fans, but what I have to say is "It's a trap." Enough said. Lucasarts had some issues with the first game and although I loved it I hoped to see improvements in the next. What did I get when playing, a game that just trolls you around in every direction. Here are the stats:

Pros:

Game has beautiful graphics.

Button smashing is easier now, without any hassle.

New force powers have been added and force usage per use has been decreased.

Iconic heroes from the original movie franchise are present, such as Yoda and Boba Fett.

Outstanding audio effects along with the original Star Wars orchestra.

Cons:

Enemies are pathetic and a lot less boss fights are present. The AT-ST,which is a boss from the first game, takes barely any skill to tear apart.

Game is a horrible port from console to PC. The game has a slowmo lag no matter how good your PC is. This is fixable but not for someone without any experience, consider doing some research.

Instead of adding elements to the game that excited players throughout the game, the developers turned the game from an awesome and action packed action-adventure game into a action-adventure/puzzle solving game that waisted a lot of people's time and money. Make a single mistake during a few of the more challenging puzzles and you'll end up restarting the checkpoint from a farther distance.

Glitches do happen oftenly.

Overall:

I own this game on both console (X360) and PC. What do I have to say, don't get it, because its a total waste of your time and money. This game ruined the Force Unleashed series, by turning this game into a trolling puzzle game. There are wayyyyyy less boss fights than the first game and enemies are super easy to take down with practically one swipe to a stromtrooper and a couple blows to a AT-ST. Yup you heard it, the thing that was a boss in Force Unleashed 1 is now and barely is something of a challenge. In the end, I'm glad that Disney bought Star Wars, because the saga seriously needs some fixing up to do.

As a star wars fan I liked it, however the first game was more fun for me and with more content. The second game was quick to beat, I did it in like 6 hours or less playing casually. I wouldn't buy it without my love of star wars I guess it can be somewhat considered as a "crappy" game but i'm glad I got the chance to go through it.

Extremeley Short game but while you are playing its really fun. Its one of those third person slashers, you get maybe a whole day or two of fun then its done and basically never touch it again. If its on sale i reccomend it...But i would strongly reccomend buying the first one as well and u should have a weekend of awesome star wars fun.

Buy this game when its on a sale or special offer. I played SW:FU 1 and it toke my quite a while to completing it on highest lvl. This game however... It toke me and a friend a 3-4 hours of hours and i we were almost mad that the game was that short in story line. I mean Super Mario gives you more story line movement.

Do it for the fact you are a powerfull Jedi and the graphics - but dont expect to give in deep into this one.

I think this game gets a 9.5/10. The combat system was fluent and reliable, my only problem is the game would only reach 90 FPS on my computer! but the game overall was amazing!

Plain and simple if you are good at these sort of games just play it in hard or unleashed mode. Everything that you could have improved of the first game was done to this one. Does not have any graphic issues. However, it does like to crash- BUT it saves it when it does. This is NOT an issue. If you think games should not crash stop buying games that cost 1$ or less and buy games that matter like this to fund the QA time. Old games from the 90s golden era crashed and had tons of bugs. It was fun for us back then to see if we could find the holes in the games. Stuff like COD has bugs.

Plain and simple this is a great game and anyone who says otherwise is flat out too new of a gamer or should just go play the wii fit or flappy bird. People who complain about the story talk about Star War canon. This is an alternate universe- which they flat out state about the game. Also, the only TRUE star wars canon is the 6 movies made. Everything else is bs, and anyone who says otherwise is flat out ignorant.

Play the game, because there is no other one out there that has mechanics like this. I have looked for 4 months to find mechanics like this. I am finally writing a review after doing everything in the game that you can.
