About This Game

The Star Wars® Saga continues with Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ II, the highly anticipated sequel to the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever created. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the world was introduced to Darth Vader’s now fugitive apprentice, Starkiller—the unlikely hero who would ignite the flames of rebellion in a galaxy so desperately in need of a champion.

In the sequel, Starkiller returns with over-the-top Force powers and embarks on a journey to discover his own identity and to reunite with his one true love, Juno Eclipse. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Starkiller is once again the pawn of Darth Vader—but instead of training his protégé as a ruthless assassin, the dark lord is attempting to clone his former apprentice in an attempt to create the Ultimate Sith warrior. The chase is on – Starkiller is in pursuit of Juno and Darth Vader is hunting for Starkiller.

With all-new devastating Force powers and the ability to dual-wield lightsabers, Starkiller cuts a swath through deadly new enemies across exciting worlds from the Star Wars films - all in his desperate search for answers to his past.

Key features:
  • Continue the galaxy-altering journey of Starkiller, Darth Vader's fugitive apprentice, that shapes the key events between Star Wars: Episode III and Episode IV.
  • Unleash the Force with more power and precision through improved controls and new powers, such as the deceptive Mind Trick, which turns enemies against their allies.
  • Discover the true power of Starkiller with Force Fury, where his attacks and Force powers are exponentially increased.
  • Improved targeting system enhances precision use of Force powers and greater interaction with puzzles and the environment.
  • Take combat to the next level with the ability to wield dual lightsabers and punish enemies with all-new combo attacks.
  • Experience the most life-like interactions with Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) coupled with euphoria from Natural Motion Ltd and the powerful Havok Physics system.
  • Expanded customization options such as new costumes and power-enhancing lightsaber crystals.
  • Fight through all-new challenge levels designed to test and hone your fighting and Force power skills.
  • Skillfully manage your combat techniques to defeat a variety of brand-new enemies, which will culminate in epic boss battles.
  • Immerse yourself once again in the story that was honored with awards from the Writer's Guild of America and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

I would not recommend buying this game.

In comparison to the first game, the developers have added nothing noteworthy that is new or even slightly different. The combat, skills and even level design is pretty much just more of the same. It would have been nice if (like most hack and slash sequels) they had added one or two new skills to unleash on unsuspecting storm troopers but sadly, even the kill moves (on larger enemies) are pretty much the same as the first game.

The story is passable, but is not written half as well as the first game. (potential spoilers!) The real big dissapointment is that the ending really does not lead into the first movie (episode 4 A New Hope) at all as it does not explain what happens to Starkiller, General Kota, Juno, Proxy or even Darth Vader. There is a very small (even miniscule) implication that Boba Fett reclaims vader, but it is so vague it is unreal.

Secondly, the game itself is tiny. I have completed the game in a matter of hours, even having to replay 3 of the levels twice due to constant crashing and movie skipping (more on that in a moment). If you take into account the level replays and deduct them from my play time, I would say that this game lasted no more than 3-4 hours tops. In comparison to the first game that took approx 9 hours. What is even more annoying is that several of the levels are based in the same areas of previous levels and so the scenery only really has 3 or 4 notable changes. Ultimately it made the content that is there to play feel very lacking too. The gameplay in general is largely generic too and there were several times wher I forgot I could even upgrade my force powers because in honesty, the "upgrades" didn't really feel like they upgraded anything at all. Aside from the colour of my lightening changing from blue to purple, the force moves seemed to be as potent at the end of the game (post upgrade) as they did at the start. In other words, they barely changed.

Finally, the games stability is terrible. Now I played this on Windows 10 Professional, and to begin with I had no issues at all. About 1-2 hours into the game though, I would suddenly get a black screen where nothing happens. I could bring up the in game menu and even go back to the start menu, but the game itself would grind to a halt. If I tried to reload the level, the level would play with no sound. The only way I could fix this was to exit the game completely and restart it, replaying the level from the very beginning (cut scenes and all). This easily added 2 hours (possibly more) onto my overall play time and was extremely frustrating.

Another frutrating thing for me was the camera on the jumping levels. Essentially these levels turn the game into a 3d donkey kongue esque platformer where you have to climb to the top, and more often than not I would find my character missing a ledge by a nat's whisker, either pushed off by an invisible air wall or simply jumping in a different direction to where the camera was facing. Again, multiple deaths here added to the games pathetically short play time and didn't add challenge, just frustration.

I would say if you absolutely need to see what this game has to offer, then buy it on a console., This PC port is buggy as hell and really is not worth the money they want for it. The story is nonsensical and does absolutely nothing for bridging the first game to the original Star Wars Trilogy and so it is easy to just pass this game by and forget it ever existed.

I would say, save your money and replay the first Force Unleashed. It is much better than this one.

This game was a ton of fun to play and i really enjoyed. If you like short games with lots of action and star wars of course, then this game might work for you. As i said it as a short game so i would recommend you buy it on sale or atleast somewhere cheap.
However the last boss fight was a disappointment. Dont want to spoil it for you but it ruined the feel for me.

I played through the game for about a week, and from what I picked up online is that many people whipped through this game in about 8-9 hours. It was a great experience but here's the pro's and con's.

PROS
- Sorta Kinda Maybe Possibly good graphics
- Wide variety of customization options
- Cool Combo's
- Stormtroopers' aim still sucks
- Darth Vader Fight is Cool
- Force abilities are awesome
- Plenty of easter eggs, secrets, and references
- Decapitation is a thing.
CONS
- Darth Vader fight is about half hour to an hour.
- PROXY is used in a dumb way
- Juno needed more screen time.
- General Kota's dialogue is a little bland
- Han Solo and Chewie dies.
- Doesn't really have a satisfying dark side ending
- Starkiller doesn't show up
- The Sith Acolytes are a little too easy to kill.

CONCLUSION: This is a good game if your willing to waste a couple of hours-days to playing it. It gets fun when you unlock so many force abilities that you just feel like a domination machine. Overall, I'd recommend this game for star wars fan's and SWTFU fans willing to drop 20 bucks. If your not the big of a star wars fan, I wouldn't buy it. But either way, if your looking for a good fun game with OP force abilities, this is for you.

I appreciate that in this game, you are a general bad♥♥♥ but the amount of issues with this game is absurd. The crashing for one thing, is not appreciated, as well as the generally bad storyline, and other graphical glitches that should have NEVER made it passed development. I would chock this game up to be a hack-and-slasher, with a bad storyline, and a nothing but lazy PC port. (Dismembering Stormtroopers is pretty fun though.)

I had fun admiring the sweet visuals for the first few minutes, then I slice up a Sith Training Droid...CRASH!
I reboot the level and play until you must burst through the sealing of that Kaminoan deck and the game glitches and Starkiller is humping the air
I shut the game off and reboot it again and continue across the walkway on the side of the Kaminoan tower slaughtering Stormtroopers and Riot Troopers left and right while Ties spray hellfire on me
I was having alot of fun but the a Riot Trooper hits me with his Electrostaff...CRASH! again
I reboot the game again and start where left off storming through the cloning facilities on an endless rampage until I come to a shaft which you must jump down to progress the level
It loads in at like 10 frames when I jump in despite my 3K Radeon Graphics Card and then before Starkiller drops into the room from the shaft above, he stops and starts humping the air again
I restart the game again and the room loads in successfully, so I dissable the generators blocking the hallways and kill the Stormtroopers in the next room
But in the next room there is a Holocron, and when I pick it up, the game freezes
I reboot the game...AGAIN and try to grab the Holocron and it freezes...AGAIN
I reboot the game and grab the Holocron and get this, IT WORKS
I proceed into the next room and mind trick a Stormtooper to jump out the window into a courtyard
I continue my rampage through the Courtyard and suprise suprise...CRASH
I turn the game of and go play Black Ops III on a console which get this, ACTUALLY RUNS SMOOTHER THAN A GAMING PC

Even if it ran smoother, it still pales in comparison to The Force Unleashed I

Get that game which actually runs smoother than its Sequel and has way more content

6/10 Cash Grab Sequel (discounting the performance issues)

4/10 Unoptimized Piece of ♥♥♥♥ Running Cash Grab Sequel

Would Rage Quit Again

I am a Star Wars fan and even as someone who loves this universe and it's lore, I couldn't get myself to like this game.

After playing the first of the two games on I felt compelled to finish the story. The first game had me with it's storyline and pretty fun gameplay. You play a secret disciple to Darth Vader who has a change of heart, but you quickly learn to realize that this storyline and gameplay didn't continue at all into this game. The gameplay does have a little fun to it, once in a while, but it's very lackluster even at the very start. It's very repetitive and just doesn't get you immersed into this character or make you feel very powerful. It feels very choppy and unenjoyable. There's even an instance where you have to bring down a huge Star Destroyer which makes you feel so damn amazing finally, but quickly puts you back to reality once you start trying because the controls and mechanics in which to do so are so obscure that the only way you can find out how to actually complete that part is to youtube the sequence. The mainstory is ridiculously short, I played about 5 hours and finished the entire campaign on Medium, and was easily forgettable.

Pros:
- It's a Star Wars game?

Cons:
- Gameplay is lackluster
- Storyline is lackluster
- Campaign is less than 5 hours long
- There's an instance in the game where you must google in order to continue

TL;DR

Personally, I only recommend picking up this game if/when it's on sale (I was fortunate enough to pick it up for $3 during the Summer sale). This is definitely a one-and-done game, even for all the die hard Star Wars fans out there. It's just a bad game.

Completed in 3 hours, gameplay is repetitive - either spamming attack button or a quick time event. For some reason, some cutscenes didn't load for me, just auto skipped and went to the next level.

1-Are you a star wars fan?
2-Have you played the force unleashed?
3-Just wait for discount for the game and BUY IT.

You will be happy to play this game and be satisfied about the story line.

Better graphics, better combat engine(so you can easly grab some junk and throw them accuratelly), what te heck do you want more?!

Definatelly there should be the next sequel for the story. And if someone figures out this sequel, and makes a movie, i bet that will break the whole other star wars movies records..

After heaaring so much bad things about this game it put me off of getting it after playing the first one, which I really enjoyed. After years I decided to buy the Star Wars Pack here on Steam and gave it a shot.

I learned my lesson; Never fully trust the Steam rating and general review tendensies. It might be just my personal taste but this game is a huge improvement on the earlier title, despite the first one being already quite awesome, especially in terms of story and the way how the Force is implemented. Fighting with the Lightsabers is awesome too.

I am glad I played this game instead of missing the opportunity due to bad word of mouth.

Highly recomended, especially for Star Wars fan and fans of the earlier instalement.

I wish now there was TFU3...

This game is rather enjoyable though it suffers from a very short campaign and lack of PC support
The game is a rip off unless bought in a sale as it took me 4.4hours to finish the whole campaign
(Background Info: I have played the Full story line)

Pros:
Enjoyable Combat
Great cinematics to tell the story
weird but kindda enjoyable story
Decent settings options compared to the original

Cons:
The game is capped at 30fps but there is a custom exe file you can download to make it run at 60fps
VERY VERY Short campaign (look at my gametime)
very repetitiveand rather dull boss fights
