It may be an old game with bad graphics but i think it is still a good game. I say this because if you like RTS games and Star Wars then this is the game for you. Plus you get a free DLC package with it.

Empire at War is a real time strategey game. The game setting is set leading up to Episode IV. Game play does get repetitive after awhile, but it is fun.

I have played this game for a long time since before I got steam, To this day it's one of the best RTS games out there. Vanilla game is pretty lame with bad voice acting in some parts but all in all a solid game. I want to review this game with the Thrawn Mod however.

The good: Even to todays standards with the Thrawn mod ( can't think of the legit name I got it on moddb) are pretty sweet.

Lots and Lots of units space and land.

Fighting in space then fighting on the planet below I'm still looking for an RTS that can duplicate this.

It's Star wars.

The Bad:
No veterancy
Every other Star Destroyer is Named the Alecto.
Very dated (not bad persay but I would love it if Disney greenlit a remake of this with more planets, a cover system for infantry and garrisonable buildings. Think Wargame, Men of War and Star Wars had a threesome and the love child would be this game)

If you're a fan oF Star Wars and want to invade the ♥♥♥♥ out of some planets as the Empire buy this game now.

Definitely one of my favorite space RTS games, besides Homeworld. So glad the modding community for it is also still alive and well, 10/10 for an old school classic.

Man, where to start. Probably one of the best RTS games out there, Forces of Corruption offers an interesting and fresh story from the Star Wars Legends Universe. Galactic Conquests offer extended battles and enable you to take over the galaxy, easily my most played game mode. Overall, I would say I netted 60 hours in the base game. However, with mods like Thrawns Revenge, the games potential increases ten fold. If your willing to take the time to learn how to install the mods, it is more than worth it. If you like RTS games and Star Wars, then this is a game for you.

As a huge starwars fan, this game is great! Get the added dlc for even more fun with it adding a new campaign and another faction. Plus new units for the Rebels and the Empire. This game is truely a past time for me. I have many more hours then what steam says I have. This is the thrid time I have brought the game. As I lost my first two cds and still wanted to play it.

Game is very moddable as well. As a huge fan of the expanded universe, aka legends series now. The Imperial Civil War mod is o detailed and makes the game when you get tired of it seem like an entire new game. I would always recommend this game to every star wars fan or RTS fan. AI can be easy at time, but playing online with mods is your wits against another person. Using every skill you have to win.

First, I'm gonna start with the pros:
- No lack of content, you could play this for hour at a time.
- Compatable with Windows 10.
- The campaigns are very entertaining and interesting to follow.
- You could always try a quick skirmish battle from the home screen if you're short on time.
- The 'Forces of Corruption' pack has a really good EU story, it's also fun to play as a team other than the empire or rebellion in a GCW Star Wars game.
- Very little lag.
- Very few glitches.
- You actually look at what your/the enemy's troops are good/weak against and use that information to win the battle instead of just aimlsessy making them all charge like hooligans.
- ADAPT, ADAPT, ADAPT!
- Snowspeeders are fun.
- AT-ATs are even more fun.

Now for the cons:
- It's not fun going against a snowspeeder or AT-AT when you don't have the opposite.
- Not the best graphics, for those who care about it.
- Units may sometimes be unresponsive, especially in space.
- Special abilities don't always work.
- It's sometimes hard to go from right click for move/attack to left click for the special ability.
- Money is very rarely a challenge.
- WHAT?! 4 SHOTS FOR A BLOOMIN' KILL FOR ONE PERSON, WHAT IS THIS?!
- Some beginners may find easy mode feeling medium or hard (EDIT: The first few missions are normally quite hard, the rest rather easy).
- Auto resolve is pretty harsh and unbalanced.
- Most of the times that I tried out the Death Star it crashed (luckily it works for the campaign).

Overall, it's a very good game with its cons being rather minor. The content has kept me up for days yet I'm still going. It is very addictive and it's hard to just leave among all your other ditched games. It also is probably one of the very few games that is actually tactical, making you adapt to certain situations. 9/10.

Nice strategy game. Each side has its own special abilities and no side is too strong. And there is a Republic at War mod.

Fun RTS game for those interested into the Star Wars series and the genre. Would recommend playing with mods the fifth or sixth time running through the different modes.
