You’ve played the light side. You’ve played the dark side. Now play the corrupt side! As Tyber Zann you’ll stop at nothing to become the most notorious criminal leader since Jabba the Hutt. Don’t just control the galaxy…corrupt it!

  • All new units and planets: Command over 28 new underworld units as well as new Rebel and Imperial forces and heroes on 13 new planets.

The best RTS i have ever experineced, a great game with some great mechanics, and great mods created by a dedicated fanbase. With or without the expansion, vanilla or not, you wont find any star wars game EA cook up that can come close to this. Highly recommend it to any star wars fan. Great mods to try include Repulic at war and Thrawn's revenge.

This game is great!

I bought the physical copy of this game when it first came out and then proceeded to purchase the expansion pack as a physical copy. I then lost the disks so I couldnt ever play again then over time forgot all about this little gem.

Pros:
>Beautiful RTS game
>$20 or cheaper during starwars sales
>3 seperate campaigns
>Original game includes a rebel and empire campaign
>Galactic conquest (custom maps optional)
>Scrimish
>Online and Lan multiplayer
>Forces of Corrruption (included dlc) includes
>new campaign
>Galactic conquest with 3 faction options (custom maps optional)
>Scrimish
>new units for the original factions
>Online and Lan multiplayer

So overall really good game and aged well. The only suggestion right off the bat is you might want to increase your scrolling speed in game because only your mouse and arrow buttons are worth using.

Also protip Ctrl A highlights all units you have on the battlefield and i just found that out recently!

10/10 great RTS!

Basically, the spiritual predecessor to Battle Front. Empire at War is the RTS flavor of the same concept: hop your fleets from planet to planet and fight space/land battles to claim them for the Empire or the Rebellion. All of your favorite original characters and units make an appearance. Obviously, no Jar-Jar.

10/10 I get it, Ackbar, I need to beware of traps.

My favourite Star Wars game out there (apart from Battlefront 2). Get it with the DLC and enjoy hours of playing alone or with friends.

You can have Space Battles and Ground Battles as well as a galactic campaign (similar to Battlefront 2) where you control planets and armies and can conquer planets by fighting in space and on the surface.
Its everything you need.

I bought this game when it first came out, I am happy to say that the Steam Verison has not left anything out and if you have game ranger online works great! Always will come back this game as it is one of the few that allows you to have all out Space battles with all sorts of class ships!

Always will be my favourite RTS not just for the Star Wars theme, pause/fast forward features, wide array of maps, but because the space battles are a flat out joy for the eyes.

Empire at War is not your typical strategy game and definatley not your typical 4X sins of a solar empire/ star ruler etc brand of space strategy either. And despite that Empire at war really isnt anything special even back when it cam out over a decade ago EAW Was not that innovative or edgy, or even orgional..this game uses a tried and true method that the total war series took up and perfected upon, Like total war it Empire at war sports a simple enough turn-based campaign map along with an equally simple easy to use Real-time battle map.

Now, even with all that Empire at war is unique for that fact that you can not really find anything equivalent that does not require hours upon hours upon hours to complete Or is so superficaly put together or badly designed that enjoyment tends to be losst after a meere few hours of play.

Empire at war is a rather thin game without all that much depth..or width but whats contained within the admitedly narrow scope of this game makes up for it all tenfold.

Personally i have rarely seen such a well put together bug free game with amazingly designed graphics that can still hold relevance today ((although that point is probably more opinion based, still point dersrves to be made)) along with the fact that this games devs put the time and effort into going over every single inch of this game making sure that pretty much everything is polished and finished. this is probably one of the most well made games you could run across..its just old.

To sum this up simply put, imagine total war rome in space minus the minor social management and diplomatic features boil it down to war and you have Empire at war.

One of the coolest games i've ever played. Vanilla versions of the game are a bit dry but they have there moments of pure fun and awesomeness, and the modding community make it a hell of a lot better. One of the best mods to get is Republic at war takes you back to the clone wars era to crush droids or clones your choice.
