When I was a kid I loved spending my time playing with LEGO kits, building unconquerable castles, dungeons, houses and such. Hard to say who was that brainy guy who came up with a brilliant idea of putting funny LEGO denizens into a game, thus making them main characters of some grand adventures like Batman, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and so forth.

Answer is as easy as a LEGO brick - nice direction, tons of humour and funny occasions, familiar heroes and villains and simple yet captivating gameplay. To do list includes: running, jumping and leaping, fighting enemies, looking for secrets, collect coins, unlock additional bonuses and new heroes to play with.

That sounds like a funny coincidence actually - by collecting stuff you make progress, but what is the backbone of playing with real LEGO kit? Collecting, gathering pieces together and making something out of it. That gives ground for a thought if that whole notion is a true reason for the game's success!

I am just kidding of course. LEGO Star Wars is a pioneer in the series of funny and amusing games about tiny potters, aragorns, vaders and batmans which proves the statement that self-irony and kind humour can work wonders sometimes.

I have a bit of a history with Lego Star Wars games. The Lego Star Wars game with the prequel trilogy (the first game) was one of the first games I played on PC. And one of the first games I nearly fully completed (100% in all ways).
I did not have the ability to play it with a controller the first time. The ability to play it with a controller helped immensely.

I can't recommend it enough.
