About This Game

Welcome to your new summer job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where kids and parents alike come for entertainment and food as far as the eye can see! The main attraction is Freddy Fazbear, of course; and his two friends. They are animatronic robots, programmed to please the crowds! The robots' behavior has become somewhat unpredictable at night however, and it was much cheaper to hire you as a security guard than to find a repairman.

From your small office you must watch the security cameras carefully. You have a very limited amount of electricity that you're allowed to use per night (corporate budget cuts, you know). That means when you run out of power for the night- no more security doors and no more lights! If something isn't right- namely if Freddybear or his friends aren't in their proper places, you must find them on the monitors and protect yourself if needed!

Can you survive five nights at Freddy's?

"For all the simplicity of the game’s controls and premise, Five Nights at Freddy‘s is frightening. It’s a fantastic example of how cleverness in design and subtlety can be used to make an experience terrifying. Simple still images and proper character design steal the show in this game, and show that Scott Cawthon knows quite a lot about the secret fears people feel when looking at creepy dolls and toys. It’s elegant in how it sows fear, and is a must-own for anyone who likes scary games." -Joel Couture IndieGameMag.com

Five Nights at Freddy's; a game which is more like a free browser game then a game costing three pounds. It's just not really fun, after you counter the first few "jump-scares" (which were NOT scary) it just gets boring, even if you haven't been "jump-scared", after the third night the same effect happens.

What's the point? Please don't buy this game.

Fascinating game design, decent jumpscares (albeit they become somewhat predictable). I don't quite understand why the fandom is so obsessive ...

Flashing lights when switching rooms gave me a headache within 10 minutes tho

I hate horror games. They make you feel helpless and hunted.

I love my games where I get to be an action god.

Why do I recommend this game? Because it did it's job WELL. It's horror; you're supposed to feel that way.

Although I began going from unnerved to irritable after getting used to the jumpscares, the overall experience was still satisfying, making you pump your fist when you beat some of the later nights. Even with a solid pattern to go with, you can still lose.

Still though, this got popular for a reason. Buy it. Play it late at night on little sleep. Hate your life a bit. It's fun.

It's a cool game, if you feel like sitting around for nothing. I guess it's just one of those games that makes entertaining youtube videos, while in reality it's a pretty crappy game with meh jumpscares sometimes. The fact that I could finish this game the first time I played is just sad. I returned it because it was just terrible and it would crash all the time too.

Despite the franchise's fandom being considered to be one of the worst fandoms out there, I overall enjoyed this game along with it's latter three sequels and two spinoffs. I also enjoyed the franchise's lore and the fact that the games arenow iconic nowdays ever since the first game's release back in 2014 back when it was new. Let's not forget that I have respect for Scott Cawthon on making his fans happy (sames goes to the YouTubers and others who either played FNAF or do anything else FNAF related like Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Rebornica, Smike, MatPat, etc.), even if FNAF's fanbase is one of the worst out there (despite there are some fans that don't act like your average FNAF fan). Also, when I first watched Markiplier's videos related to the FNAF quadrology, the jumpscares made jump back when expecting jumpscares per new game, but nowadays, I just got used to them. Should I recommend readers like you to buy the game or any of it's sequels or spinoffs? Well, it depends on your opinion due to how much hate FNAF's fanbase has gotten.

I personally like the game and its franchise, but the fandom has kind of ruined the expierence of the gameplay. I can't search one theory that others have of a certain subject without running across a cancerous 12 year old. I recommend this game for anyone who wants to be scared, but only for a short time. The jumpscares were scary the first time, but quickly became old and nonfrightening. The atmosphere that Scott has created is spectacular and created goosebumps the first time I played.

Play the game. Ignore the fandom.

Before reading: this review is more of a neutral review than a not recommended review (which they should add) because I can't recommend it but it isn't garbage.

I decided to buy it because almost everyone I know told me that it's the best horror game ever. I'll admit it's scary the first time you play it because you don't know when the jumpscares are coming and if they're scary, but then after the first couple of them you realize it's just the noise that makes you jump and the actual jumpscares aren't scary, it turns into a strategy game. You can see if a jumpscare is coming if "it's me" flashes on the security tablet thingy or if the power is off and if you see eyes flashing and hear music. After the first two or three levels it starts to become boring (play in bursts?). There was something I liked about the vague ending though.

In conclusion, it's not bad, but not good either. It isn't really that scary to me, more adrenaline-rushing when I need to close the door fast (which needs power to close?!), so if you like strategy games with horror elements or something, then this is the game for you.

and for the love of god... DO NOT search "fnaf" into deviantart unless you want to cringe or vomit.

This game is atrocious. There's no actual gameplay to it, in fact there is barely a game here at all.

If you have come here to try this game out because of all the hype, avoid this game. It isn't worth the $5, so unless it is on sale for $1, I would tell you to just save your money.

Honestly, I imagine most of the positive reviews are coming from young kids with little frame of reference. This is barely more than a glorified flash game, and it really isn't worth your time.

I have heard about this game for years. I have found the lore quite interesting. But I always wondered if it was worth buying as the game seemed to merely be about clicking on things and hoping some mostly prerendered graphics don't move in a semi random manner.

Sadly, that is what this "game" is. Its not really a game. Its a semi interactive prerendered cutscene. Just watch it on youtube as it isn't really worth your money.

Its pretty short, there isn't much replayability, and the game suffers from the one thing that some fear the most: ♥♥♥♥♥♥ furry fans. It was definitely scary, but other than that, it doesn't have much going for it.

"Scary" for like the first hour of the game, maybe not even an hour. First night you don't even have to check the camera, just check the doors and you're fine. Night 2 is the same thing except you check on the fox, and thats just when I stopped, got boring and repetive. And now the dude is milking it making other games in like a month of the other one. Also the fandom (most of it) sucks, thats with every fandom I suppose but this one is filled with cancerous squeakers.

This game is awful do not buy it. The game is not scary at all, and this review will probable have a lot of disagreements by the 7-12 year old mindless fan base who will crush and try to destroy any critisism this game ever gets, the game is boring, deal with it
