About This Game

Welcome to your new summer job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where kids and parents alike come for entertainment and food as far as the eye can see! The main attraction is Freddy Fazbear, of course; and his two friends. They are animatronic robots, programmed to please the crowds! The robots' behavior has become somewhat unpredictable at night however, and it was much cheaper to hire you as a security guard than to find a repairman.

From your small office you must watch the security cameras carefully. You have a very limited amount of electricity that you're allowed to use per night (corporate budget cuts, you know). That means when you run out of power for the night- no more security doors and no more lights! If something isn't right- namely if Freddybear or his friends aren't in their proper places, you must find them on the monitors and protect yourself if needed!

Can you survive five nights at Freddy's?

"For all the simplicity of the game’s controls and premise, Five Nights at Freddy‘s is frightening. It’s a fantastic example of how cleverness in design and subtlety can be used to make an experience terrifying. Simple still images and proper character design steal the show in this game, and show that Scott Cawthon knows quite a lot about the secret fears people feel when looking at creepy dolls and toys. It’s elegant in how it sows fear, and is a must-own for anyone who likes scary games." -Joel Couture IndieGameMag.com

"Hello, hello, hello? Uh, hey, welcome to your new job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear entertainement is not responsible for death or disembarressment in the workplace..."

Five Nights at Freddy's is an indie horror game by Scott Cawthon, where you assume the role of a night watchman at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, the Chuck E. Cheese's out of hell.

You work from 12-6AM, watching cameras and defending yourself from the animatronic characters is means necassary.

Oh yeah, I didn't mention that...

The animatronics here are possessed by the souls of dead kids who were murdered at Freddy's in 1985. The killer hid thier bodies in th animatronic suits, and they were possessed.

The four chacracters are:

Freddy Fazbear
Bonnie the Bunny
Chica the Chicken
Foxy the Pirate Fox (One of the most unique names I've encontered in awhile...)

Anyway, the animatronics (kids) work hard in the day, and want to be left alone at night. However, your distrubing thier rest, and they want you OUTTA THERE! So, they roam the halls of the resturant during the night, hunting down anyone whom dare disturb thier "Happiest Day".

To defend yourself from meeting a painful death, you must watch the cameras to see where the robots are, check the lights ooutside your office to see if thier about to come in and attack, and if they are, shut the security doors. You must do this whilst not using up all the resturants power. Thier on budget cuts, so they cant spend a fourtune on electircity. Using the cameras, lights and doors will use your power up, aswell as a fan which you cant turn off...(grr, I hate that fan) This gameplay mechanic makes the game extrememley difficult in the later nights, as the robots will show up at your doors more often, using up the power. So, its mostly stratergy, but I cant help but feel that its also partially down to luck in the later nights.

But, I would now like to point out the part where Five Nights at Freddy's really shines through...

Lore.

This game has one of the biggest, most complex storylines I've ever seen. This is expanded upon in the various sequels. a novel adaptation was also made and a movie is in the works by Warner Bros. If you like big lores, secrets and YouTube theroising, Five Nights at Freddy's is perfect for you!

Overall, Five Nights at Freddy's is a fun, enjoyable little game with a big, BIG backstory. There is a massive community and the game went viral very quickly and stayed that way for over a year. There is now:
3 sequels with another one in development for release in Fall 2016
A cutesy JRPG spin-off
An offical 464 page novel written by the developer
A bunch of merchendise
Massive community
Movie adaptation in the works by Warner Bros.

One more thing...

I have really grown to love this game and all the other things to do with it, I just really clicked and liked it. Im only 13 now, but hands-down when I grow up, FNaF will be one of my most memorable childhood games. Scott Cawthon (the creator) has inspired me to make games myself, aswell. So, FNaF has earned a special place in my heart as one of the best games I've ever played.

This game is pretty much like a stick of gum. What I mean by that is; the game is good for a couple hours, but then it just gets old and flavorless.

Honestly, the game isn't bad, it's just a bit bland. I mean, you've got a bear, a rabbit, a fox, and KFC's bin material chasing after you in a handicapped game of pacman. It's really a simple concept that's good for a while...and that's it. After that, it's just gathering dust in your games library.(Which is exactly what my copy is doing).

I don't know if anyone shares my viewpoint on this, but I feel as that I could appreciate it more if Scott Cawthon didn't milk the hell out of the franchise. I mean, remember when Fnaf 2 came out, and you found out there was no doors? He literally removed key game mechanics that defined the series, and chuckled; "Hey, man, here's a flashlight". Really?

Then comes along Fnaf 3, and there's only ONE leftover furry costume(Which could be a good thing, actually). And then, he throws in hallucinations just to ♥♥♥♥ with us, as if the protagonist was high of his ♥♥♥ on blow the whole time.

And I'm not even going to comment on the fourth one.

Basically, if you've got money to waste, buy it. But if you're like me, and have barley any cash,(You can tell by my name) don't pick this one up. You've got better things to spend it on. Hell, even spend it on a damn microtransaction if you want to; just stay away from this mess.

God Damn these haters

This game is really good. the only one that i would consider buying out of the sieries. It is not as much horror as it is strategy. yes the jumpscares are extreme, and check your pants the first time Bonnie or Chica pays a visit. A few tips for newcomers
- time before ~1-2 am is safe on night one. Sit back and relax
- Bonnie is a stalker.
-Chica loves to hang out in the party room, and likes to cook. If you hear the banging of pots and pans, chica is in there.
-foxy (Animatronic behind the pirate cove) will sprint down the west hall if you go to that camera. If you see the pirate cove empty, close left door IMMEDIATELY.
-if you see this dead thing in your office and images flash on the screen, simply pull up the monitor and put it down. Do this quick, for failing to do so will crash your game. The dead thing is golden freddy
- golden freddy can be summoned by looking at the west hall corner too much. if the poster that says "lets party!" changes to an empty Freddy Fazebear head.
-You can hallucinate (Flashy images) anytime in- game. Some lead to jumpscares
-Freddy will become dangerous on night 3 onward. he will make a deep laugh as he moves
-BONNIE IS A GUY.
-Stuff on the walls can change.
-if you cannot close a door or turn on a light, Bonnie or chica are in your office. Keep the monitor down for holding out as long as possible.

Haters gonna hate. Who gives a damn about the fanbase? yea, its popular amognst 12 year olds and my middle school, but who cares?

Lazy jumpscares, nasty fanbase, repetitive gameplay afetr night 3. Are you supposed to get scared when the teddy bear jumps at you? Not much of a horror game imo.

Tried 20/20/20/20 mode, Foxy runs down hall and I accidently open door...Foxy screams but I'm still alive, timer still going, reached 6AM.

10/10 would break the game again.

It's a pretty fun game, it's kind of scary around mid game, but once you get used to it, it gets more strategy than horror, and it gets pretty challenging later on. :3

The graphics aren't that great, but who the ♥♥♥♥ cares?

There are some cool easter eggs, and the atmosphere is quite sp00ky. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

There is no way to pause, so you have to either keep playing or completely shut off the game which is terrible.

Night 6 and the 4/20 challenge are both really fun. ;D

Pretty fun, it's a nice game. It's worth it, especially on sale when it's like 2 dollars. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

This review is the game itself. Not an over obsessed d*ck sucker, or the hater that thinks this game is worst thing ever because they don't like the attention this game has gotten.

Many people have a fear of inanimate objects that come to life. This game plays on that fear, and that is why this game is popular. I, however, do not have this fear. But this game has challenge to it. 4/20 mode took me EIGHT FREAKING HOURS to beat. But i did it anyway because i like challenges, and i will not stop until my mission is complete. Foxy has made me jump a couple of times, but i am not scared of this game. I just like the time consuming challenges of defeating this game.

Those are my thoughts on this game. I recommend it if you have a fear of animatronics, like to be scared, or like challenging games. Or all of the above.

This game is real good. I mean when it first came out, It looked so damn good that I had to buy this. But I do keep seeing horrible reviews on this game and the other 3. They just make no freakin sense. Scott deserves respect. If you're a hater of FNAF, and if you want to post your naughty comments, keep it to yourself. This game took a lot of potential and the other three and people just complain about it that it's not scary. Who cares? And also, the gameplay is more important than the graphics. Please, give this game love. Wish you luck on Sister Location, Scott!

First, let me start off by saying this is a GREAT game. If you can get past the increasingly cancerous fanbase and look at this game as a horror game, then you SHOULD be able to tell it's different for the genre.

The core objective of this game is to survive the onslaught of Freddy Fazbear, Chica the Chicken, Bonnie the Bunny, and Foxy the Pirate Fox. While the base game includes numerous jumpscares, the atmosphere is what truely gets me. The paranoia of just knowing that Foxy could charge your door at any given moment, or that Freddy may be lurking just around the corner. Just that instinctive feeling of knowing that you could be killed at any given moment by the animatronics somewhat petrifies me. The only thing saving you is your own wits and a door.

I would 100% recommend this game to somebody who wants something different in a horror game. Great concept, decent execution.

9/10.

A simple, remarkable, RNG-"heavy", short-yet-fun experience. Recommended for all those who want a light jumpscare-horror experience.
Score: 7.75/10

Uma experiência simples, memorável, com GNA "forte", curta-porém-divertida. Recomendada pra todos aqueles que querem uma experiência de terror "jumpscare" leve.

Nice game but I find it more strategic than horror to be honest. The jumpscares are only a surprise but you get used to it as you play the game. As for that secret one, did not expect that.

I'm always very skeptical of jumpscares, as there's always so much build up you always know when something is about to happen. This game manages to combine that unending sense of dread and still deliver a jumpscare that will make you feel like you're about to throw up.

Definitely a one for the horror fans.

To start off, i think this game is scary as s*** when you start that is. When you get to night 5-6 you loose that scare facter and it seems like you just want to win. in the beginning I though this was scary so my sister played it on night 5 and died twice and didn't scream or even jump. i honistly think it's more of the hype that's with this game that makes it more scarier. At least there's alot of youtube videos on this to "help" (markiplyer, jacksepiceye, pewdiepie and so many more BUT i find it kinda ruins the fun knowing before hand how the game works. This game is a good game to play with others to get the first reaction like the scary maze or slender and it's quite cheap to get.
