About This Game

Welcome to your new summer job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where kids and parents alike come for entertainment and food as far as the eye can see! The main attraction is Freddy Fazbear, of course; and his two friends. They are animatronic robots, programmed to please the crowds! The robots' behavior has become somewhat unpredictable at night however, and it was much cheaper to hire you as a security guard than to find a repairman.

From your small office you must watch the security cameras carefully. You have a very limited amount of electricity that you're allowed to use per night (corporate budget cuts, you know). That means when you run out of power for the night- no more security doors and no more lights! If something isn't right- namely if Freddybear or his friends aren't in their proper places, you must find them on the monitors and protect yourself if needed!

Can you survive five nights at Freddy's?

"For all the simplicity of the game’s controls and premise, Five Nights at Freddy‘s is frightening. It’s a fantastic example of how cleverness in design and subtlety can be used to make an experience terrifying. Simple still images and proper character design steal the show in this game, and show that Scott Cawthon knows quite a lot about the secret fears people feel when looking at creepy dolls and toys. It’s elegant in how it sows fear, and is a must-own for anyone who likes scary games." -Joel Couture IndieGameMag.com

Five Nights at Freddy's was interesting. It started off being scary but as I went along it became a joke of a sort. I made a video playing the game and acted frightened because that's what causes views. The game was little more than a game that feeds off the nightmares of little children and fears of the dark. This is not worth the 5 dollars I paid, and I am not playing it again.

Product received for free
(Before starting this, I'm just going to say that I actually recieved this from a friend two years ago as a gift, so that's why the "recieved this product for free" box has been ticked.)

For what it is, it's not really that bad. The atmosphere isn't too shabby (considering what you're doing), and it can make the player feel quite a bit of suspense when they first play it, as they'll probably be unaware of how to properly deal with Freddy & co. The mechanics are alright for what they are, even though they are only operated by the mouse button and movement alone, and it gives this game a classic horror flash game vibe. The textures were modelled pretty nicely too- they do give off a sense of realism despite how cartoony Freddo and his friends are meant to look, and for new or old players, they can still be pretty unnerving (Hell, Chica still manages to make me jump when she pulls my monitor down).
As the first in the franchise, I'd say it's kinda neat, and for how cheap it is now, I'd say try it out at least once.

It's a real shame that this series, as well as it's creator, is getting bashed so much as the days go by, and it's not even the game or it's creator's fault. If the "crazy side" of the fanbase wasn't so noticable, arguementive or resentful, there probably wouldn't be so much hatred towards Fazbear Ent. and Mr. Cawthon as there is now.

Don't get brought down by the naysayers, Scotty- do whatever the Hell you want! It's your story, not nobody else's.

Five Nights at Freddy's; a game which is more like a free browser game then a game costing three pounds. It's just not really fun, after you encounter the first few "jump-scares" (which were NOT scary) it just gets boring, even if you haven't been "jump-scared", after the third night the same effect happens.

What's the point? Please don't buy this game.

I personally like the game and its franchise, but the fandom has kind of ruined the expierence of the gameplay. I can't search one theory that others have of a certain subject without running across a cancerous 12 year old. I recommend this game for anyone who wants to be scared, but only for a short time. The jumpscares were scary the first time, but quickly became old and nonfrightening. The atmosphere that Scott has created is spectacular and created goosebumps the first time I played.

Play the game. Ignore the fandom.

This game is atrocious. There's no actual gameplay to it, in fact there is barely a game here at all.

If you have come here to try this game out because of all the hype, avoid this game. It isn't worth the $5, so unless it is on sale for $1, I would tell you to just save your money.

Honestly, I imagine most of the positive reviews are coming from young kids with little frame of reference. This is barely more than a glorified flash game, and it really isn't worth your time.

For the 5 dollars. It's worth it. Honestly, replaying this game is rather fun than boring, However, everybody thinks diffirent about something. And I'm constantly spooked playing this game. So uh, gg scott.

I have heard about this game for years. I have found the lore quite interesting. But I always wondered if it was worth buying as the game seemed to merely be about clicking on things and hoping some mostly prerendered graphics don't move in a semi random manner.

Sadly, that is what this "game" is. Its not really a game. Its a semi interactive prerendered cutscene. Just watch it on youtube as it isn't really worth your money.

Its pretty short, there isn't much replayability, and the game suffers from the one thing that some fear the most: ♥♥♥♥♥♥ furry fans. It was definitely scary, but other than that, it doesn't have much going for it.

"Scary" for like the first hour of the game, maybe not even an hour. First night you don't even have to check the camera, just check the doors and you're fine. Night 2 is the same thing except you check on the fox, and thats just when I stopped, got boring and repetive. And now the dude is milking it making other games in like a month of the other one. Also the fandom (most of it) sucks, thats with every fandom I suppose but this one is filled with cancerous squeakers.
