About This Game

Welcome to your new summer job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where kids and parents alike come for entertainment and food as far as the eye can see! The main attraction is Freddy Fazbear, of course; and his two friends. They are animatronic robots, programmed to please the crowds! The robots' behavior has become somewhat unpredictable at night however, and it was much cheaper to hire you as a security guard than to find a repairman.

From your small office you must watch the security cameras carefully. You have a very limited amount of electricity that you're allowed to use per night (corporate budget cuts, you know). That means when you run out of power for the night- no more security doors and no more lights! If something isn't right- namely if Freddybear or his friends aren't in their proper places, you must find them on the monitors and protect yourself if needed!

Can you survive five nights at Freddy's?

"For all the simplicity of the game’s controls and premise, Five Nights at Freddy‘s is frightening. It’s a fantastic example of how cleverness in design and subtlety can be used to make an experience terrifying. Simple still images and proper character design steal the show in this game, and show that Scott Cawthon knows quite a lot about the secret fears people feel when looking at creepy dolls and toys. It’s elegant in how it sows fear, and is a must-own for anyone who likes scary games." -Joel Couture IndieGameMag.com

While the fanbase for this series is absolutly horrific, the games themselves still manage to be scary, unique, and fun to play, while always holding you in a state of uneasiness, which can quickly lead to panic.

Like Undertale, this game has a Napoleon Complex fanbase. It's at that size where it's not small enough to be quiet but too small to create a fanbase that doesn't smother people who come into contact with it. Between that fanbase and the jumpscares, it's really easy to take these games for granted. Which is a shame, because they're genuinely good and unique in a lot of ways. The design and gameplay are simple and stylized really well. The jumpscares really are the weakest part of the game, but chances are you'll learn to accept it. Scott still knows how to evoke a sense of fear and dread between the background noise and the impending danger. Everything is very eerie in general. If you don't figure out the backstory, you'll have it spoiled to you. It's by far the most uncomfortable part of the game. Like Undertale, let the experience be your own and have fun with it. And if you can handle it, the fanbase really can be fun. Just try to find the fans that are fair.

Enjoyable game. Love and am a fan of the series because of all the lores behind the game. Played the game before when I was drunk. Wasn't a good idea. One of the animatronics, I think it was Bonnie that got me, made me jump straight out of my chair. My dad freaked when he heard a pretty loud scream and a bang coming from upstairs at that time. ha.

If you ignore the fandom (which I had no idea even existed until long after I finished with this first title) this is a fun game. The lore/story has to be inferred and guessed at, but it's actually deeper than you'd think for a game like this.

Creepy atmosphere, nerve-wracking moments... This game is worth the asking price, in my opinion.

You play as a nighttime security guard at a family themed pizza parlor with animatronics. Your task is to survive the night. You're given access to cameras all around the building, and you have two doors on either side of you that you can shut (at the cost of power, for some weird reason) and lights you can turn on and off to check the darkness.

It's a very simple set of gameplay mechanics, but there's also something deeper - you can't just close the doors and wait for daylight, obviously, or you'll run out of power very quickly, and then you're screwed. The camera system is vital to gameplay - you need to monitor certain rooms, and sound cues also help you figure out when things are... changing.

A rather cerebral game for such an incredibly simple premise. Jumpscares still manage to be freaky after all this time. Probably because of the earsplitting sounds, but hey - that's part of the fun.

In summary: Ignore the creepy fandom surrounding this game and perpetuated by lonely 12-year-olds who completely miss the point that this is supposed to be creepy and not some kind of furry lovefest.

If you can get past that, it's actually pretty great. I suggest watching the "Game Theories" video about it (part 1 and 2) but ignoring every other video on their channel.

Such a great game; even for one plucked from the ashes of Greenlight! It is chock full of anxiety, noise, and demon-possessed animatronics. Do I recommend this game to EVERYONE? Nay! Just anyone who can and is willing to brave "Five Nights at Freddy's"!

Out of five stars, I give it 4.6/5!

it's good!

i could just leave the review at that buuut i won't! in this game you play as a security worker at freddy fazbears pizza and hounted animatronics try to kill you beacuase they think you're a metal endoskelaton without a freddy costume so when they see you they shove you into a freddy suit and it's made for robots so it kills humans blah blah blah, it doesn't word it EXACTLY like that but that's the jist of it. anyway that means you gotta defend yourself by closing the doors you have by you're office and when they are their close the door. now what's keeping you from just keeping the doors down all night is the limited power mentioned in the trailer everything you do uses up power and you also need to watch one of them on the cameras every so often so that he doesn't run down the office right away and kills you so it's a balancing act of checking the camera eneugh so that "that one" doesn't kill you and not doing it so much you run out of power checking the doors lights enough but not too much whatever whatever you get it. every night you do the same thing but it gets harder. it's a fun spooky game to play but there's more to it than meets the eye there is a dark and VERY not straight forward story i recomend looking at youtube theorys ESSPECIALLY game theory!

BUT this game is NOT scary (at least to me) i don't know why people are terrifyed so much when they play it! so if you're gonna buy this game i wouldn't if you're ONLY looking for the horror aspect of it but it is fun soooo yeah!

IT'S EASY I BEAT THE FIRST 4 NIGHTS ON THE FIRST TRY! (still fun).
