"In this "Action Movie" like shooter, killing and acrobatics go hand in hand. Dive and flip into some hilariously fun moments. Did I mention it's free?"

Name Polls Close Tomorrow + Upcoming

When polling began, Dive Harder was in a solid 20 point lead, but then in a surprising (and stylish!) reversal Doves of Fury pulled way ahead! Now Dive Harder is closing back in to again overtake Doves of Fury. Voting closes some time tomorrow (exactly what time? I dunno, whenever I feel like taking the poll down) so if you haven't already, get your vote in here: http://www.doubleactiongame.com/double-action-boogaloo-steam/

The Double Action team has been eating apples all week and the result is that the OSX version of DA is almost ready. Its bits and bytes are currently loaded into Steam and ready to be processed and downloaded by all of our beautiful players, we just have to do make sure none of the apples have any bugs before the hour of final disbursement (exactly what hour? I dunno, whenever we stop eating them apples.)

In addition we're going to release the OSX version in tandem with the Steam Workshop, which will let anyone build and distribute modifications to the game, some of which may be incorporated back into the official version. All of this will happen perhaps some time this weekend (exactly what day? I dunno, whenever it's done.)

EDIT: Sorry guys, looks like the workshop is going to take longer than we thought, it's coming soon, but not as soon. We'll push forward with the Mac support, but workshop will be in a later update.

Bugfix patch now available.

A patch is now available for Double Action that mades the following changes.

* In an effort to reduce the volume of grenades, grenades have been removed from the buy menu.
* Teamplay mode has been removed until it can be better polished.
* Added an indicator that helps highlight which weapon on the ground the player would pick up if E is pressed.
* Some of Brawl's situational bonuses have been reduced.
* Fixed a stuck bug related to sliding, and another stuck bug related to wall flipping.
* Some updated sounds.

Your Steam client should download the changes automatically. I appreciate any feedback from these changes so please leave your thoughts in our forums. We'll be continuing to apply fixes for balance issues and bug fixes to try to make the release process as smooth as possible.

About This Game

Double Action is a free stylish multiplayer game about diving, flipping, and sliding your way into action movie mayhem.

What's Double Action Like?

Imagine doing a backflip off some dude's face, then diving through a window, gold-plated pistols firing in slow motion. There's an explosion behind you and somebody's stolen your briefcase full of money.

Is that enough action for you? Multiply it by two for Double Action.

So, it's like a Micheal Bay movie?

Don't talk to me.

So, it's like a Freddie Wong movie?

Hell yeah! Now you're talking!

Are there weapons? I like weapons.

Yes. Yes you do.

  • The Sentinel 9* - A 9mm pistol
  • The Stallion .45* - A .45 caliber pistol
  • The Undertaker - A 9mm sub-machine gun
  • The Mac Daddy - A .45 caliber sub-machine gun
  • The Persuader - A combat shotgun
  • The Vindicator - A fully-automatic rifle
  • The Black Magic - A burst-fire rifle
  • Your Fists - They pack a mean punch
  • The High Explosive Grenade - For when all else fails

* Pistols also available in dual wield style.

This all sounds very stylish!

Style is good; we like style. Choose a style skill for specialized action:

  • Marksman - Improved gun handling and extra firearms damage
  • Athlete - Faster speed and better stunts
  • Bouncer - Deal more damage when brawling
  • Reflexes - Super-slow-motion and bullet time
  • Nitrophiliac - Extra grenades, more explosions

What's the objective?

Double Action is a no-holds-barred battle royale interspersed with objectives to survive checkpoints, capture the briefcase full of money, and hunt down the wanted criminal.

How much does it cost?

Don't be ridiculous, it wouldn't be very stylish if we charged you. Double Action is free, just download and play!

Non-Stop Action? Check. Flying Suicidal Humans? Check. Michael Bay Styled Game? Check. Variety of Maps? Check.

If you like Max Payne, just download this game. You won't regret it, this game is like mixing together Max Payne and Call of Duty (ew) but it ends up nicely.

11/10 would fall off a building again.

This is not a game, this is an interactive documentary about John Woo on Acid. A solid 11 backflips out of 10 karate chops, would Boogaloo again.

This game... how do I describe it?
Well, first off, the word which fits this game the best, in my opinion:

INSANITY

Unless you are in an empty server, then you are being hit every waking moment with bullets, explosions, and punches AT THE SAME TIME. To me, this game feels a little bit like Counter Strike, or any other FPS.
Now, you may be woundering, "If it's just like CS, then why get this game at all?".
1. Slo-mo
2. Sliding
3. IT'S FREE
Get it now and see for yourself, what do you have to loose?

Stalk and pursue your opponent, run and dive through a window, spray your opponent with your machine gun whilst sliding under a truck, and finish him off with your iron fist in the face!

Kill with style to fill your yolo meter, and unlock slow motions in this fast pace TPS/FPS.
Only in Double Action: Boogaloo.

First of all, this game beats it all. Screw all those realistic shooters. This game.
It's like Matrix on steroids. It's like Single Action x2. It's like Skyrim, but completely different. It's also a lot like Clint Eastwoods child with Daniel Ilapaca. This game makes me feel like reality was a waste of resources. I mean, look, this game is FREE and it's better than IRL. This game is about doing a dive up a fleet of stairs while firing golden akimbo berettas on Nick from L4D2. It's about never stopping. It's about falling off tall buildings because you overshot the jump because of First-person mode. I smoke this game while Playing Double Action Boogaloo. While drunk on slowmotion. Shoop da whoo
