This is the cream of croup of japanese rpgmaker community by Hide San from Alpha Nuts featuring Frontier Gentlemen illustration. It was made with rpgmaker 2003/2k before rpgmaker vx Ace. Almost all rpgmaker games in japan are free because they demand high standard for anything charging money, and this one along with few other titles from Alpha Nuts team are the good example.

Scenario and dialogue are almost professional quality in this game, it's not multi-party traditional rpg format , more of light novel focus on 2 main characters and the city they live in. Illustration is done by freelancer illustrator Frontier Gentleman, I have been fan of his work for years when I was deeply into rpgmaking community, also check out his works at Frontier Pub.

Music is also excellent I don't know the music composer, but the same person composed many other Hide San's game such as Angel's Tear, When the Wind blows...probabaly will released to steam in the future.

This game set the standard for what a commercialized rpgmaker game should be when it was released only in japan more than 10 years ago. What a pleasant surprise!

Great gameplay, great stroyline, great artstyle, and a great soundtrack. The only problem I have with this game is that I can't go into fullscreen but i'm sure that that will be fixed. I recommend this game if you like RPG's and I look forward to this games full release.

The storyline is great, I like the battle engine, the asthetics are great. Good game, definitely reccomended.
However, sometimes, the game fails to obliterate the grid and abuses a form of gradient. More information on this, here: http://www.petesqbsite.com/sections/tutorials/tuts/tsugumo/chapter2.htm

I really liked the demo of this game. It was somewhat reminiscent of the SAO feeling for me. I did, however, notice that a lot of the art and music was the same as what was included in a free asset bundle that I downloaded a couple years ago when I was working in GameMaker. Anyways, the story is intriguing and interesting, and the quest content was great and left me wanting more when the demo came to an end. If I come in for a little cash I will definitely buy the full version when it comes out.

Been playing 2 hours so far. It reminds me of classic JRPGswith round based combat, has a nice visual style, humourous dialogue, good BGMs. It rewards exploring every chapter with items used for crafting/earning money.
Can't wait for this game to be out for real.

I'm loving it so far. The card mechanic is something to get used to but it works. The music is amazing and the sense of humor is just...perfect. I'm looking forward to the full game.

This game is terrible.

The Positive.
It tired to be unique with it (horrible) battle system which randomly gives me potions which just makes it easy because i can last forever

The Negitive
Pretty Pictures are unskipable and theres a cutscene with about 3 minutes of them that don't even mak sense you get to see them one at a time as you progress horray?
The battle system is entirly luck based there is no skill or if there is it doesin't tell you how your supposed to get better
I could not figure out how to sell to traders
no money for winning battles not even off human enemys
Running HURTS YOU
Levels don't feel like they help at all
The Characters are unlikable I want to strangle Sail and that mage girl is an A.hole
the chests say Im not ready to unlock this. When? can you even or is it just filler text?

The Detailed
The battle system is a convoluted game of rock papper scissers and numbers4 trumps everything equal numbers result in the game determining whch action trumps the other so all it boils down to is pick the highest numbers untill that stupid fairy thing shuffles your hand and ruins your high numbers there is also the S rank which only the player seems to get it trumps everything I assume

The trade system might be nice but is ultimatly filler and busy work it was nice in Tales Of Phantasina because it wasin't the games focus it was entirly optional this game essentially forces you to take it seriously

Stupid parts where the game throws something your way and it essentially becomes pointless
Examples are your in the happy fiance building theres a sack of money on the floor they even point out your a theif just take the money expecially because your in crippling debt
The guy who brought up their scamming ways offers to pay you 50000 and both characters turn it down but don't think twice about hitting the place anyway especially because Sail has a reason to do so

That's a real great game and the fight system is such a thing if we try to compare with some another RPGs. The story is quite good and the characters have an interesting way of thinking.
Some problems I had about the sreen and the keypad settings were fixed, thanks to the help of the creator of the game.

The game is alright. The battle sequences are normally short and don't have too much thinking involved (which I like the whole deep strategical battles, so that's a negative for me in this game), the dialogue could use a bit of work as there are things that have either repeating words or just aren't right, it's really cheesy, it's extremely cliche (true to the whole "side kick is a chick with blonde hair and blue eyes" and "at least one character has blue hair!"), and, to be honest, I have kind of sunk into a point of disappointment after a line that an older gentleman in the game had said about women and their breasts.
However, I do really like the music and the artwork between chapters is beautiful. I think those are the only really good parts of the game.
3/10 from me.

Overall a fun, enjoyable game with a story. Twice when becoming lost due to not paying attention, the game made it easy to get back on track by the nature of the design, a welcome surprise. Only severe downside was when losing a battle all progress was lost and I found myself starting from the very beginning - like watching the first quarter of a movie a dozen times and the middle a couple of times. The music is nice, although the midi music style isn't my thing. Fun, visually great, entertaining, with no blood, no guts, no gore.

Looks very promiseing takes me back to my childhood when console RPGs were true master pieces they do have alittle bit of work to do on it though not alot of stuff to do as of yet and I noticed many spelling/grammer errors... with that being said a must for any oldschool JRPG fans keep up the good work and looking forward to buying it as long as it is not to much

I thought there was plenty of humor and a unique battle style to this game. At first I was a little sketchy about the graphics but-hey don't judge a game by its graphics; the story seems phenomenal! I have to say that I will proudly spread the word about this game!
