This is the cream of croup of japanese rpgmaker community by Hide San from Alpha Nuts featuring Frontier Gentlemen illustration. It was made with rpgmaker 2003/2k before rpgmaker vx Ace. Almost all rpgmaker games in japan are free because they demand high standard for anything charging money, and this one along with few other titles from Alpha Nuts team are the good example.

Scenario and dialogue are almost professional quality in this game, it's not multi-party traditional rpg format , more of light novel focus on 2 main characters and the city they live in. Illustration is done by freelancer illustrator Frontier Gentleman, I have been fan of his work for years when I was deeply into rpgmaking community, also check out his works at Frontier Pub.

Music is also excellent I don't know the music composer, but the same person composed many other Hide San's game such as Angel's Tear, When the Wind blows...probabaly will released to steam in the future.

This game set the standard for what a commercialized rpgmaker game should be when it was released only in japan more than 10 years ago. What a pleasant surprise!

Great gameplay, great stroyline, great artstyle, and a great soundtrack. The only problem I have with this game is that I can't go into fullscreen but i'm sure that that will be fixed. I recommend this game if you like RPG's and I look forward to this games full release.

The storyline is great, I like the battle engine, the asthetics are great. Good game, definitely reccomended.
However, sometimes, the game fails to obliterate the grid and abuses a form of gradient. More information on this, here: http://www.petesqbsite.com/sections/tutorials/tuts/tsugumo/chapter2.htm
