Full Launch on Steam!

Hey Mercs,

Today marks the day Dizzel transitions from Early Access to Full Release. Over the past 3+ months we've integrated many changes based on the community's feedback, in order to further improve the game and its development.

The Dizzel Team knows what you're thinking. Is that it for development changes? HELL NO!

We will continue to work with NSStudio to shape Dizzel into a more adrenaline, blood pumping, high intensity game that everyone will enjoy! That means we'll be adding a ton of more content like maps, modes, unique systems and of course, more customization. But we can't do this alone - once again we'll need the community's help in continuing to build and shape the game that YOU want.

Thank you for your continued support.

The Dizzel Team

    • Annihilation: Each team takes turns as the killer sentinel war machines, attempting to hunt down the other team while they try to survive by any means necessary.
    • Predator: A player is randomly selected to be the ‘BOSS’, with tremendous speed, massive stat boosts, and a giant sword to hunt down the opposition. Work with your teammates to take out the 'BOSS' & turn the tables with a 'BOSS' of your own!
    • Team Death Match: Can't leave out the classic! Lead your team to victory & be named the MVP of the match.
    • Even More: We've got some great new game modes in development - Follow us on Facebook for the latest news & exclusive sneak peeks!
  • Skills: Charge your skill meter with kills & assists, then unleash a powered-up ability on your foes. Will you use a shield to lead the way for your team, or increase your fire rate & mow down your enemies?
  • Weapons & Items Galore: With lots of guns, melee weapons, and grenades to choose from, it’s easy to personalize your killing style. Character, outfit, and equipment choices let you push the customization to the next level.

S4League and Gears of War goes into a bar
they start a relationship and open up to each other,
they start seeing movies together, dating, walking the park and other couple things,
then GoW proposes to S4League, and S4League happily accepts,
GoW and S4League live their lovingly days with each other.
But one day, S4League tells GoW she's pregnant.
GoW crumbles inside, falls down to his knees, tears falling of his rugged face.
"For how long?" he asks.
"I don't know. It's still just in early access." she responded.
They both look at the cold wooden floor with overwhelming feelings and thoughts.
"You need to abandon this." GoW unwillingly declares.
"I'm not ready for this."
S4League looks shocked at GoW, but her shock and grief quickly turned into regretful understand.
"...I know."
3 months later, Dizzel was born.
They were congratulated at the hospital, and yet their faces did not quite seem as happy as all other parents' were.
As they walked outside into the dark and foggy mist outside, rain flushed upon them.
Invisible tears melting together with the rain emerged from S4League, while GoW tried his hardest to hide his feelings from his inner self.
As they approached the dead end infested with garbage and peculiar aromas, they stood and looked for a long time at the blue container.
As Dizzel cried for his mother's attention and caress, GoW embraced the baby into his arms.
He looked into it's crying eyes.
So innocent.
So... Pure.
He looked away.
His next actions would not fit into any moral compass.
He slowly sunk his arms into the container, and put the baby inside it.
It's cries were metallic and echoed. It was a sound S4League and GoW would not soon forget.
When they slowly walked away, the infant's cries began to melt into the sound of the hard rain dropping upon them.
S4League took her hand over GoW's should, and he did the same.
They vanished into blue-grey mist of rain and fog, and never looked back.
Not because they didn't want take responsibility for their actions.
But because they couldn't.

what i'm trying to say is this game sucks.

AWFUL GAME, RENTED ITEMS, PAY TO WIN FAVORING

First and foremost i have an issue with the fullscreen and windowed switching, it makes the game and my computer lag both directions. Then i have a large problem with your idea of balance, Level 8s with sniper rifles 1 hitting level 1s that have assault weapons through cover from across the map is not an kind of idea of fun. you can not hit a man when all you can see is a gun barrel when you have recoil and spreading corsshairs like that. next and most important, you have rented items RENTED ITEMS EXIST IN YOUR GAME do not deny it, i was given short term items when i loaded my first match, i have a screenshot of it that i will be providing for you free of charge on my photobucket (5year member) you can veiw it any time day or night. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk31/darquelink/Public/20141213204654.jpg You have stated publicly that there are not rented items here, you tell people to edit their reveiws, i have seen you do it. NOW HERE THIS "Better Business Bureau Non-Profit Organization Address: 345 N Riverview St,#720, Wichita, KS 67203 Phone:(800) 856-2417" if you try to threaten me to remove any of this i will call the BBB. they take harrasment seriously.

Dizzel more like Drivel.

This game is pretty simply summed up as horrible and broken in its current early stage. Lets start at the beginning.
Small(ish) download. 1.3GB. Thats not to bad for me. Start menu is horrible, Unmovable and locked at a certain resolution, changing the resolution did nothing. I loaded the toutorial

Sensitivity is off but thats not the games fault, the Cover Mechanics are actually very well done, the game assumes you can take cover behind a wall without needing to press a button and if you can shove your fat russian behind against it, consider it cover. However aiming from cover is horrible, the screen shakes for a couple of seconds before deciding where you actually aimed.

Sprinting by double tapping the W key was bad in minecraft, and its even worse here as it barely ever picks up youve double tapped it unless you ask nicely and the game is feeling kind.

Okay so the toutorial wasnt so great, i was being pampered for every small task, breezed through no issue, games looking alright. I open the server browser, ONLY US SERVERS. Brilliant, a big middle finger to the EU players so far but its early access I guess its alright.

After the 4th attempt to join a game after lowering my sensitivity and trying to connect i finally get into a game and I'm shoved into a warehouse promptly named 'Cargo'. A very unimaginative map every FPS has seen. Aiming and shooting is HORRIBLE as recoil doesnt just shake the gun, but the entire screen making aiming and shooting near impossible. Even hip firing when the game isnt causing you to have a fit against a wall causes distressing amounts of recoil.

The 'Downed' Mechanic and having a teammate revive you if youre not finished off is a bit drawn out, but makes sense and allows people to have awesome melee kills.

Oh did i mention there is melee in this game? A secondary weapon all for its own purpouse of being useless, as you can just gun people down at close range before they even get a chance to view your shiny bald skull.

TL;DR It's not worth it. Sorry developers for this poor review, but untill you fix MAJOR issues, its almost unplayable.
4/10

Complete and utter garbage. Game looks like it was made for Playstation 1. Pay to Win is huge in this, and it's just a generic boring shooter all around. Nothing to see here that will give you any attention, Just pass on by and don't download this crap.

I never really do negative reviews but...wow. Okay so I jumped into the game and got stuck in windowed mode [even though there's no visible way to turn it off].
After that, I did the tutorial which taught me that there's no innovation or uniqueness in this game so I thought I'd jump into a live match. *All of the servers were US which will put most people off but with my internet, it was fine. Then I started playing...Just no. The gameplay mechanics are so generic and even below average.

This game doesn't try anything different. Doesn't have anything unique about it and doesn't try to be different in anything it does. It's generic and average done bad. If you're wanting something similar to this then even games like Hazard Ops are beating it by far.

Really disappointed here. There's too many games out their that do the "online 3rd person shooter" thing a lot better.

Oh boy... Where do I begin with this one?
Standard generic 3rd person shooter, generic maps, generic guns. All in all a less than average game somehow, no where near the graphical appeal of AvA (Never thought I would actually be complimenting that game.) This is possibly the worst 3rd person MMO I've ever played.

Pros:
They attempted to be original mechanics wise, they have a Gears of War'esque cover system and feel to the game.
It's early access so they still have plenty of room to grow and expand (and lord knows I hope this isn't anywhere near the finished product.)

Cons:
Poorly made game.
Poor graphics.
Poor game mechanics. (You have a cover system, not that you will EVER use it.)
Pay to win, all day.
Barely any servers.

Rating: 3/10 (Being generous.) I would recommend this game if you have an afternoon to kill (and possibly yourself by the time you're done, having realised you just wasted your afternoon.) and no other better games to play.

This is a pretty crappy spin on the generic third person shooter. Even Warface is better. It's almost like a bad graphics version of Gears of War, to be honest. Very pay-to-win. 0/10, pretty pointless and bad game.

Kind of bad textures , Cover System doesnt really work very well nor do you even need to use it and very limited to US servers
and the shift between windowed mode when you're in a lobby and fullscreen mode when you're in a match is annoying

A Gears of War ripoff Ghost Recon ripoff Combat Arms ripoff AVA ripoff where two teams sit in opposite corners of the map with sniper rifles and a few people in between are firing away with mediocre frozen pea launchers that were rented from the store, despite what the developers said about all weapons being permanent.

Already the developers have lied on a few occasions, or at least been a total smartass about what they say. No, what he said isn't misinformation. You devs are dodging around questions about your game, and I noticed.

Aside from its pathetic attempt at a cover system and poorly executed executions (COME ON, GET UP! <helps up> GIBS EVERYWHERE), this game sponges up more frustrating broken mechanics and uninspired copy-pasting into its files than these enemies with bullets.

Moreover, it's poorly optimized. Seriously, UT2004 has better graphics. This game's visuals are worse than Jedi Outcast (2002), and yet I get a framerate of 16-20 when I can play TF2 or Sniper Elite with at least 30 FPS at all given times on the highest settings (60 in the case of TF2).

To sum it up: it's every complaint about Early Access rolled up into one big F.U. to quality control.

EDIT: Not sure why I'm bothering with the review at this point, but I recognize many of the textures from the Unity Asset Store for free. I've used them myself when screwing around with Unity engine. Whether they are (or not) the textures I remember, not sure, but they sure as hell look like it. Care to explain, devs, or would you like to just point out how there's no rentable weapons like you did the last two times for reviews?

Does Dizzel have what it takes to separate itself from the normal online shooters nowadays?

The answer is a resounding NO!

Here comes the train, bringing the bad news.

dem CONS:

a) The game engine is an organized mess, just put it like that. The game textures lack interest, but I understand the devs trying to release a game that runs well on all sorts of pc rigs...

b) The character hitbox in this game is ridiculous at times. And coupled with the ping advantage, it's a hit&miss extravaganza. What looked like a headshot turned out to be a body shot, and some of the times resulted in a miss.

Trying to shoot someones elbow, feet? Nah, no actual hit registration for those, most of the times. You have better luck shooting someones gun and score a kill, at least that's how it looks visually.

Characters can stay fully hidden behind corners and still manage to shoot you, since the weapon_fov is bugged and the bullets appear to originate either from the character's face or armpits. I found out semi-auto rifles to be the funniest example of bullet fail.

Also, did I mention flying raggdolls? Get executed while getting shot? Visual raggdoll cannonball...

c) The weapon penetration values (stats) are meh to say the least. If a 80-95dmg sniper rifle has 50% penetration values but 0 stopping power, how come 1 or 3 shots to the head brings the player down to 15%. I'm not talking about fully geared players here, just 1-5 ranked, the smilie faced ranks.

Weapon penetration and stopping power should ignore armor entirely, better yet: remove the damn stats alltogether.

d) Cover system is a joke. Stand near a wall or corner and auto cover. This turned out to be more of a nuissance than helpful, especially regarding camera pov. And it got me killed more than anything else.

e) The old "free 2 play" gimmick is still alive. Don't tell us you'll be selling cosmetics only in the shop, when a piece of gear (armor) has stats on it, stats that can bulk up your HP pool or increase your mobility, etc.

You might iterate that you're going to sell characters (head skins), which is fine, but unless you strip the skin armors of stats, you're still hiding good stuff behind a paywall.

And did I mention the weapon restrictions? In order to get the best sniper rifle ingame (right now), you have to grind till kingdom come. With the lack of a proper wiki detailing the rank values, and a poorly optimized shop UI, is the best sniper rifle worth leveling 40 ranks for it, if it only brings 10 extra dps and the penetration values stay the same?

f) The "special ingredient": bringing a knife to a gun fight = ye dumb melee

This has to be one of the dumbest feature in the game. Stripping a character's secondary slot entirely and leaving him with a primary gun and a melee weapon. What were you thinking?

Way to create and restrict players to a pattern. Well, if you took this path, make melee feel rewarding in terms of points / xp.

g) Camera/mouse issues drive me crazy. (Un)snapping from cover leads to eratic camera movement.

And asking for a fov slider would be too much, but the 3d view seems 60fovish at best, really restrictive visually.

h) Weapon bullet drop?!

I don't seen any mention of this anywhere in the weapon UI meniu and stats. But I've noticed that, for sniper rifles, the bullet tracer has drop rates.

Kinda PROs:

I could thumbs-up the weapon sounds FX. And perhaps the ambient music, but it doesn't bring extra value if played non-stop, in a loop-fest.

The most entertaining thing I enjoyed in this game was the raggdoll physics & elasticity:D

----

I'm not excited about the leveling system, based on grinding your brains out trying to reach xyz rank, but since Dizzel is a generic shooter, rank away fool!

The game is clunky, tied up to OGPlauncher, making streaming difficult to setup. I tried using OBS, didn't work. I managed to get nvidia shadowplay to record the ingame footage, but the actual lobby/shop window, alas.

Dizzel, where art thou Dizzel?

This game is still in early access development and will remain thus, despite all future updates. It's just like any other early access games released on steam, trying to bank on the idea of mulching players for money, with the hopes and lures of getting a better game released to the masses.

Dizzel could bring 10-20 hrs of online "entertainment" for the casuals, but it's a lackluster shooter bringing nothing new to the table.

P.S.

Since Dizzel on steam doesn't allow use of existing OG account, I was forced to play on my old one. Here's some actual footage of the game, videos that depict the game's faults:

http://www.twitch.tv/haaxxx/b/560102152
http://www.twitch.tv/haaxxx/b/560116657

http://www.twitch.tv/haaxxx/b/561197964
http://www.twitch.tv/haaxxx/b/561331026

I did my best to rank as fast as possible, to reach the higher-end weapons, but the grind is too horrendous and I ditched the game for the moment.
