About This Game

Combining elements of arcade simulation and strategic management, Taxi! puts you in control of an up and coming cab firm based in any one of three 3D cities. You’ll begin with a rundown old taxi, picking up passengers and fulfilling a variety of dispatch missions until you manage to muster up enough cash to upgrade your cab and invest in new vehicles.
Choose your staff wisely, while one driver may be expensive to hire they are less likely to take risks which will end in a collision catastrophe that’ll see you picking up the costly tab at the local garage. Each driver will excel in a particular area but some may be less experienced so you’re not going to want to risk one of your fully upgraded cars on an inexperienced driver that is more likely to prang the vehicle into an unidentifiable mess of metal.
Each of the three cities, based in America, Europe and the U.K includes its own unique cars and will require you to consider what side of the road you’ll need to drive on. Be cautious of potholes, oil slicks, peak time traffic and speed bumps as you seek to deliver your passenger to their destination in a timely manner.
There are a variety of obscure missions that you’ll need to complete that will include impatient passengers encouraging you to break traffic laws to get to their destination quickly and precariously balancing luggage on the roof rack of your taxi.

This is not a bad game, just needs some loving. The concept is goo, I like the tree/grass and the water is very good. However, I just have a couple of pointers that need tweaking, and one major update that is needed, in my opinion.

If you select England, for some reason the money earned is in $'s not £'s. Not a biggie really. But in the UK we don't follow km/h, but we do follow mph, like USA. That would be nice to update.

But the big update that is needed is on the nighttime. During the day, loads of cars all over, and no problem following a marked car. Hit night time, no cars at all, including the marked car. So I was stuck on the mission. Tried a couple of times, and it still didn't show any cars.

Apart from that, its a relaxing game, but there are so many traffic lights I feel I'm driving in London but in a tighter version.

I'll recommend getting it, as its a cheap price, just needs to night time update!!

Not a bad game at all. But you have to LOVE drinving a lot and wait at traffic lights (too much traffic lights).
You can't choose between driving at night or day, the game chooses for you, as well as for the wether.
Some little bugs with the AI, as regards your employed drivers. You have to check very often if they are not struck in traffic or else, cause they won't act by themselves.
It's a shame the game was not enough worked at, it could have been better!
Anyway, for 4.99, it's ok.

I honestly can't recommend it, not for the price it's asking. The options menu only addresses audio volumes and quality, with no way to adjust keybinds and other important details you'd expect from a driving "sim"...I use that term very loosely as there isn't even turn signals (none that I've found anyway). This feels more like an arcade game without the bells and whistles. You can drive through people (you ghost through them) and red lights without penalty, assuming there's no one in the car with you. Disobeying laws or crashing with passengers in your car will either hurt or help you, depending on what they want. You can wreck your car but the physics and damage are laughable at best. The road signs for the US location aren't even correct...the speed limit signs are rectangular and white, not circular and white/red. The game can also be a bit buggy at times. GTA's Taxi mini-games were more enjoyable, which is a real shame. Wait for a 75% + off sale if you must have it.
