“Because I think the game development is advanced enough to provide a fun and original experience, so I wish to share it with you.
Then, content will be added and the game improved thanks to your feedbacks. And with your help, I'll be able to spend more time on the development, and move forward faster and further.”

“As I develop the game alone, it's very difficult to estimate the release date, as the development can be delayed by various things. Especially the multiplayer that took me much longer that I had anticipated, but fortunately is now working good enough.
So I prefer not to give any date but "when it's done" (although I hope it's finished at the end of 2017 or early 2018).”

完整版與搶先體驗版在計畫上有何不同?

“A lot of things have already been added since the start of the early access : a lot more places to explore, more items, weapons, monsters, minerals, plants, giant bosses. And multiplayer is coming with v0.3.
And some additional modes will be added for the final release, plus a lot of bug fixes, and improvments depending on your feedbacks!”

“The solo campaign is mostly done (but for some balancing, bug fixes and small improvements), and the multiplayer is coming very soon with the v0.3. Then some additional game modes (like a different and much more random world layout) will be added.”

“The game price will increase during the Early Access period at each major update, until it reaches its final price at $12. So you don't take any risk buying it now: you pay only for what is already done! and the future additions will be a bonus!
Also, there won't be any sale (nor bundle offer) during Early Access, and no big sale until a year after the release, at least. And there won't be any DLC either.

“I'll be there on the Steam forums and I can't wait to read your comments and suggestions, and discuss about the future updates.
I also hope we can build up the gamepedia wiki together to help the community enjoying the game, and give us a support to help balancing all the items and units of the game.”

v1.0 progress : hazardous environment

I've just finished a big part of the v1.0 release version: the hazardous environment option.

"Sharknado" event: not only water falls from the sky!

Here is the full list of the events names : Heat Wave, Rain Flood, Meteor Shower, Volcano eruption, Earthquake, Restless Night, Quiet Night, Planetary Alignment, Aciditic Water, Drowsiness, Mating Season, Lucky Day, Sun Eclipse, Mist, Electromagnetic disturbances, and Sharknado.

Those events are not very well polished, they are not very realistic... but they are fun, and I think that's something that was really missing in the game.

To know more about the events, you can follow the v1.0 topic on the forum : http://steamcommunity.com/app/315460/discussions/0/1489987634005238608/ or simply play the game on the beta branch, as I upload versions very regularly.
Then you can create a new game with the option activated, and you'll get one random event about every 1 or 2 days. You can activate the option in your old game by modifiying the m_eventsActive custom param. Or you can trigger any event directy with the /event command.

v0.35 : last minor update before release!



At last, I've finished all the minor tasks I wanted to do before the release. Now my task is to add the real new content of the v1.0, and that's going to be fun!

First, there will be a few game modes that have been discussed in the forum. If I have enough time, I hope to do those four ones: "Sky World" (a very random world layout), "Under the sea" (you start in a cavern under a huge ocean), "Tower Defense" (build a base to survive as long as possible, with regular income), and an "Editor Mode" that will give you a little more options than the current post-game mode.

But I'll also add another feature that wasn't planned at all, but should add a lot of interest to the game: a "Hazardous Environment" game option! It will be available for every mode (and for existing games too, with the /param command). This option will add some catastrophic events every day: massive flood, meteor shower, water turning acid, etc. I can't wait to do it... and try it!

As planned, the final v1.0 will increase the game price to its final $12. And as for the previous major updates, you'll be able to try the changes in the Beta branch while i develop them (and help me find the issues!)



About this minor v0.35 update, here is the change log. I'll most probably upload some minor fixes and balance builds, as some changes have not been tested very well. So don't hesitate to give me any feedback about the changes - especially the new Demon attack!


v0.35 (Build 638)

General
- Improved pathfinding: ground monsters should be better at climbing high steps, hitting the ceiling less often
- Improved aggro mechanism : monsters and bosses don't switch targets all the time when attacked by several players
- Added game options: "Run in background", "Max framerate" and "Screen shaking" (to reduce it at gun firing)
- Pickup priority for the player who just digged it. Pickup are now displayed bigger

Bug Fix
- Fixed Minimap reset when client quitted-rejoined and host didn't use the minimap
- Fixed rare freeze bug for the client in multiplayer
- Chat is now deactivated when in options menu
- Monsters current target is now correctly saved
- Monsters cannot "dig to spawn when no spot found" during the day anymore
- Lightning Mine : fixed bug with bosses detection
- Wires properly capped at 250kW
- Turrets cooldown is now reset when electric turret are not powered
- Other players are now hidden while spawning (during the character colors choice)
- Fixed bug with bosses and monsters stucked without firing

Graphics
- Reversed autobuilder recipes order (input on the left, output on the right). Fixed the missing feedback on crafting
- Wires are now displayed when any electric item is selected (not only the wire)

Balance
- Monster now spawn further away from screen. At day, 7 monsters around by default instead of 4.
- Demon boss: damage reduced from 20 to 15... but with a new special attack every 10 seconds, a big fireball that creates lava on impact. Enjoy! :-)
- Rocket Launcher requirements modified (15 Radioactive Blood instead of 10 High Radioactive Blood)
- ZF-0 gun: 7 damage instead of 6.
- Burning monsters now take 6 damages instead of 4 (every 0.7s)
- Storm gun damages increased from 50 to 55, but now with heating
- Lightning Mine: damages increased from 80 to 150.

Minor
- Replace all small texts fonts by a one easier to read (was added on in a v0.34 hotfix)
- Now able to miniaturize higher walls with a low miniaturizer
- File name validity is now checked at save
- Added a "m_gravityPlayers" variable, that modify the gravity on players
- Fixed controls options panel title hidden on large screens
- Added a tooltip on the easy/normal difficulty levels
- Updated Koreana & French language

HOT FIXES:

- Fixed persistent lights from projectiles

Explore, fight, craft and build your defenses! Enjoy a unique and innovative game:


Strategy: survive massive attacks each night by building strong walls and placing turrets wisely.
Physics: build wisely or your structures will collapse! And you will need them to defend your base, or build bridges and high towers to access remote locations
Water cycle: rain, infiltration, underground rivers and lakes... be careful during the heavy rains, or you could be surprised by a sudden water level rise!

You are a representative of the CRAFT & Co company. You are selling automated fabrication tools across the galaxy when your spacecraft crashes into a hostile planet. Use the tools you sell and the local resources to build up all of what you'll need to survive and eventually be able to escape the planet.

Gameplay:

Fun from the start: no awfully slow digging, so you can concentrate on the exploration, fights and strategy.
Game's final objective: you must build a rocket ship to escape the planet.
Strategy survival: the game is a survival game in a strategic meaning. No hunger needs, the whole point of the game is to survive to the massive attacks each night. And to do that, you will have to explore the world to gather resources and craft your defenses.

Fights:

• No swords, magic or flying clown monsters here! It's a consistent science-fiction world, with fast and fun laser guns fights!
Intelligent monsters: they will find the best path to attack your defenses. And be careful: even if they can't move through walls, they can still destroy them!
Difficulty progression: only the species of monsters you have already killed before attack during the night (they must have taken ill!). So you can progress at your own pace and choose when you are ready to move forward and fight stronger monsters.
AI. companion: your crashed ship contains an AI that survived and will give you useful advices (or not!). Build him a drone so he can follow you and even help you fight the monsters!

World Simulation:

• Huge world with global real-time simulation of the environment, physics, water cycle and ligthing.
Electricity: build solar panels or functional hydroelectric generators to power your base’s most advanced items!
Plants simulation: plants naturally grow and spread if their life-conditions are met. Create some farms with artificial sun lamps and irrigation.
Procedurally generated world: Major areas locations are specific to benefit from a logical game progression, but detailed layout of surface, caverns, ores, etc. are unique at each playthrough.

Crafting and Building:

Crafting: You dig minerals, harvest plants and kill some monsters and bosses in order to craft better items and defenses. But the digging is really fast, your inventory space is infinite and all crafting recipes are displayed, so you don’t waste all your time on grinding or wikis and can concentrate on setting up better defenses.
Base construction: You build a fortress, not a holiday house. So you won't find hundreds of flowerpots or tapestries, but rather turrets, strong walls and useful machines. Remember the Starship Troopers or Aliens movies atmosphere!
