7-23-15 Patch/Update

Howdy all, here is a short list of patches written up tonight and installed.

1. Build denial system extended around all spawn points. There is a small chance you will lose something if you stand outside of a spawn area and attempt to build in it that you will lose that item so make sure you are around 30 meters away. You can test the range by standing near the spawn location and trying to place something - the message will stay active until you exit the nobuild area.

2. The Help menu is gone - Help is now tied to the tutorial which you can turn on and off now. If you need to see the original help menu - it is in the lobby.

3. Some server side logging added. :))

4. Something else but Can't remember off the top of my head. If I do remember I'll add it in this slot.

Sorry I didn't get to address the 'e' issue I ran out of time and needed to get this out.

Server and Client Patch.

Currently patching server and client. Estimated downtime is unfortunately about an hour. There are some updates that need to be applied to the server as well.

Patch includes the following:
Permanent cloth pants. Yep. No shorts. Actual pants.
The cloth set is in - including cowl.
This concludes the set upgrades.
Stairs fixed. You will now be able to build beyond first level buildings. Please keep in mind that if you intend on building something large - get away from the start locations to do so please and game experience will be better for everyone. If you build near a start point. You could get your base wiped. Consider it a warning - sorry we don't have a better solution for it yet but it will happen.

Modification to crafting progress bar. It's not quite perfect but definitely better than before. One more adjustment and it'll be good.

Player hit box improvement. Dismemberment's still not quite there yet but this is the 'in between stage' towards getting there.

Fix in for the craft container issue. If you still have problems or notice lag (mostly caused by an error that was happening server side that should be fixed with this patch) let me know here on the forums and we'll take a gander at it.

Please note that the 'm' command that previously just showed the map now has some additional things on it. None of those are functional yet but they are aiming at what we envisioned the game before all hell broke loose in early access. We will be working towards that goal.

Campfires now dissolve on server resets to keep the area a bit more cleaned up.

Hope you had (are having) a good weekend.

About This Game

Forsaken Uprising a new MMFPSG (Multiplayer Medieval First Person Survival Game). The game centers on a wide variety of craftable goods and building components that vary in strength and usability. The combat system is very fast paced with a 3 tier stat system based on stamina, strength, and health. The player can literally run until they fall dead of exhaustion. Digital Homicides developers wanted to create a game that combined all the elements of games we enjoyed since there wasn't anything in the market that was giving exactly what we craved. You will have to build your castle, grow crops, and keep your livestock alive so that you can defend yourself from other players or for the brave venture out and lay siege with catapults and take others riches for your own. The following list will be Key implemented features in our release weeks from now.

1. First Person Multiplayer Perspective
2. Piece by Piece castle construction system(including a spike wall to hang the corpses of your vanquished foes on)
3. In depth crafting system
4. Fast paced aim required melee/ranged combat system
5. Stamina/strength/hp stat system to make in combat decisions matter. When stamina empties strength substitutes, lowering strength results in less damage dealt. If strength empties hp substitutes meaning you can actually kill yourself from exertion. The gameplay depth this will provide to combat will be awesome.
6. Catapults to blast open enemy castles and pillage their chests
7. In depth farming system tied into livestock(captured cows will produce manure needed for growing crops and as a fuel source for creating top tier equipment.
8 Farm plots and animal pens are placed the same as the castle system, design your castle how you want. Protect your crops and animals with a layer of stone walls to protect them while your offline.

I got this game for free and I still feel like I paid too much for it.

Forsaken Uprising is a game that I can't recommend because:
- the price is too much for it's quality
- is boring
- there are no players on the servers
- the only good reason to install this game is for the trading cards

Had to do a double take that this game had actually been released. The graphics are aweful the gameplay is non-existant and by the sounds of things the devs are censoring negative threads. Too bad the concept is good I just can believe this is actually the release version. Feels pre-alpha.

Avoid at all costs.

This game is garbage, even worse than their other game "The slaughtering grounds". Launching a game for full release when there literally are big holes in the map and trees you can walk through is just a plain scam. You get randomly thrown into the game. You have zero clue what to do. Every villager and pig wants to attck you for no reason. There are almost no settings for video and no settings at all for sound. Game runs like ♥♥♥♥. Developer is being a banhappy A-hole that can't take criticism. I got banned from "The slaughtering grounds" forum for asking for a coupon. The only thing I liked about this was the music.

After hours of trying to play this "game" It seems that crashing every few minutes or lagging 2 hell is the only "GamePlay" i can get out of it...

Almost Everything u do on this game leads to a single result, CRASH & WASTE TIME.

So, there's only 1 Thing i can recommend you about this "game"

If fighting against issues isn't in your to-do list, then this may not be the project you want to buy.
You 'll thanks me for saving you hours of brain pain 'n frustration caused by compatibility bugs...

My first experiences on this game were literally these:

1ºst try: Spawned, Run to a rock, touch it -> Crash

2ºnd Try: Spawned, Ran to a tree, Went Throught it -> Crash!

3ºrd Try: Spawned, Found a villager, He attacked me -> CRAAASH!!!

GG...

edit: some crashes were fixed since last update (march).
