About This Game

In TerraTech you design, construct and command a fleet of unique vehicles, as you battle your way to victory across the lawless frontiers of new alien worlds, in a quest for glory and profit. In the distant future, Earth's natural resources have been depleted, and as an off-world prospector it's your job to travel to alien planets and scour them for valuable materials. These can be refined and shipped back to Earth in return for cash, or crafted into new components to augment your fleet. The rarest resources unlock the best equipment, so expand your territory and capture enemy bases, to secure your position on each planet.

Build crazy vehicles out of modular blocks! Hunt down enemies, shoot parts off them and scavenge the remains, to make your vehicle harder, better, stronger and faster.

Build anything you can imagine! Heavy battle tanks? Yes. Fast scout vehicles? Indeed. Flying carpet bombers? Why not? Simply drag and snap new blocks onto your creation, and get straight back into the fray!

TerraTech? More like TerribleTech
I did not enjoy this game at all, Im thankful there was a free demo so I didnt have to waste time with a refund.

The main issue is the controls are wonky. Rather than allowing you to aim with your mouse, like a normal game, you have to mess around with WASD and hope your shots hit. This leads to a huge disconnect from immersion as well as frustration. No controller support either.

Im not sure you can really "craft anything you can dream" as in the demo you are stuck killing increasingly stronger AI enemies and stealing an occasional broken wheel, block, or gun to add to your mess of a vehicle.

Also there where a ton of resources hanging around with no use whatsoever other than scenery. Again maybe a demo limitation?
But then why even release a half baked demo?

Its like taking a new car for a test drive, but having to wear handcuffs and a blindfold and theres no gas in the tank, yet they still want you to buy it full price.

No thanks.
Not even worth free.

This is a fun but currently frustrating game

Pros
Building a custom made machine out of parts of your beaten foes.
Graphics suit style of play
Very fun

Cons:
The left mouse button is to rotate the camera as well as select and detach?! this means you can accidently detach things when you only meant to rotate, also when you are holding an item to put onto machine, you cant rotate because that button is currently in use and there are no custom control options either. (This is early access though)

I still highly recommend this game and will keep a look out for it's release.

I can see this has a lot of fun potential and I had a good time in the demo, the freedom to bolt the various parts together is brilliant and very enjoyable. Only one criticism and that is that using the left mouse button to rotate the camera can lead to some very serious mistakes: 1) Accidentally clicking on your cockpit and dragging it leading to the entire vehicle falling to bits! 2) Accidentally clicking outside the game window (only if you are playing in windowed mode of course). Maybe the devs could rethink the camera controls?

Keep up the good work!

It's a nice game to play. It's like minecraft and robocraft combined. I think it will have even more stuff to enjoy.

This game could turn out to be very interesting in the future. The basic premises of stealing the parts you need to survive is oddly satisfying, and with a bit more work and a better user interface, I think it could turn into a very popular game.

There is a lot of potential in this game! It looks cool, has great gameplay, and is very fun. You start in a vast world, with nothing but your little buggy with a machine gun. You kill a few things, your vehicle grows, but so do the enemies vehicles. You kill a big buggy, and now you rush to upgrade your car before another car comes to kill you. I actually was scared when I was trying to upgrade and there was a big drill car charging at me because when you die, the car is gone. Unless you want to save your car part way through, then you can do that. Overall, great game. Get it, the demo is free.

This game is AWESOME! The demo definitely gives you the perfect taste for the full version. It doesn't take out the key elements but it doesn't make it easy to progress. You definitely need to buy the full game if you ever want to enjoy the game, but the demo itself is awesome!

Pros:
You're able to build whatever you want and control it, instead of following some developer-given blueprint
You're able to travel wherever you want
You're able to fight enemy AI, giving the game some action and objective in the middle of all that building

Cons:
Way too laggy. Prvents big battles with lots of guns. Prevents big techs in general. Makes the camera lag behind where you actually turn, causing you to over turn, making it hard to follow an enemy you're trying to fight.
