Tending To Animals in FS17!

Watch the latest Gameplay Trailer for Farming Simulator 17, and discover how to keep and tend animals! There are more options for farmers than ever before, with the possibility to keep cows, sheep, chickens and, for the first time in the series, pigs!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq8Mim-yTjM&feature=youtu.be
Players who properly tend to their animals will be able to bring in more income for their farms! Fresh straw for bedding and suitable food for each animal's diet means more wool from sheep flocks and more milk produced by cow herds.

Each animal requires a specially crafted diet, with a careful balance between different food types which you can grow yourself on your own farm. Many vehicles and tools, including many new pieces of equipment, are dedicated to the tending of animals - a selection of which you can see in the trailer.

Keep the feeding areas tidy and clean, properly feed and water your animals, and offer them fresh bedding regularly. Doing this will cause your animals' happiness to raise, maximizing their levels of reproduction. Keeping up with these needs means smart farmers can make a good profit by buying small groups of animals, then selling them in larger numbers after they multiply!

Farming Simulator 17 releases October 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Superb farming game. It's enjoying for quite a few hours. But if you reach the point of having bought everything you want it gets repetitive.

Having grown up in the farming community of Western Kentucky and working on both large and small farms in my youth, this game holds a certain nostalgic quality for me on a personal level. I have experienced the reality of working with farm equipment and thus have a deeper appreciation for the real word mechanics and scenarios this game is designed to mimic. The simplest way I can describe this game is that it is the virtual equivalent to playing with Tonka toys in the dirt, as so many have done in their youth.

The game mechanics do a great job of recreating the real world life of working on a large farm with massive equipment and machines. Alone it is worth the purchase; however there is a modding community that has done some amazing work in expanding this game beyond the simple planting, growing, and cultivating the harvest of crops. Mods have brought more aspects of the agricultural industry into the game, with additions such as expanded greenhouse growing, orchards, and livestock. There are even mods that require the player to manage the chemical composition of the soil itself in order to optimize crop yields. In addition, mods have made it easier for single player gameplay to expand beyond the simple asynchronous list of jobs to be done to a more concurrent task switching game that one could experience with multiplayer/online gameplay. This in turn allows the size and the scope of the game scenario to expand for single players.

In addition there are some fantastic maps available that can allow the player to experience the familiar surroundings of the region in which they live, or to play through scenarios that are the reality of farming in other parts of the world. This adds repeat gameplay opportunity to the game thus giving greater equity in the purchase. Free mods, maps, and additional equipment downloads also make the game extremely customizable and allows one to tailor the game to be more or less challenging in order to suit each individuals gameplay preferences.

From and educational stand point, the game does a lot to help one better understand the underappreciated agricultural industry of the independent farmer, and to fully experience all the work that goes into growing and bringing to our tables the food we sit down to eat each day. We often take for granted that the grocery store does not have a magical machine in the back making the box of cereal or the milk we so conveniently acquire.

The game play is slow with a steep learning curve when modded, but, in my opinion, is well worth the time to play. I highly recommend the game to sim game fans and those who like a more relaxing game play experience. Nothing is going to kill, shoot, chase, or eat you in this game. It is simply playing in the dirt on a big ♥♥♥ tractor!

I don't know why, but I really do enjoy this game. Im one of those guys who likes sim games, I hace ETS 2 as well as ATS. Some thing about making money, working hard to purchase new equipment, planting sweet crops and eventually just becoming a millionaire. Theres so much in this game to do. Ive stuck to crops mainly, havent got to forestry and livestock or anything yet. Only thing I don't really like is hired help, how they can miss portions of your fields if your field isnt exactly square ill say. So im kinda in the process of figuring out where to start on each field so I dont have to keep an eye on them and just do my own thing. I can't believe ive spent 50hours on this game already. I played about 40 hours of it and figured out I dont like the way I pursued certain equipment without really looking over the details of the equipment and what kind of power you need to run things. So im like, forget it, now I know more about the game.....after 40 hours of playing it. So I completely started my game over and its still been very enjoyable redoing a lot of what I already did. I really like this game and highly recommend this game to people who like sim games, like relaxing/kicking back and are willing to basically put a LOT of time into this game. Overall, great purchase, im sure FS 17 will be more awesome.

This is a brilliant game if you have even the slightest interest in farming or tractors or anything of that kind. It is not possible to say "I'll just play it for an hour or so" because when you start you will end up playing for 5 or 6 hours at a time. Very good game and I would recommend.
