I just played it for half an hour until finishing a third mission (I got really hungry and needed a break lol).

The graphics are really basic. But they work well enough it's not really a problem. The sound is good. But it would be better if your squad members didn't speak every time you gave them an order just so that if you spam instructions they spam you back you with their voices.

You do missions to clear locations on the world map. During missions you command your squad in real time to fight against hostile Zombies scattered throughout the area. You scavenge as much items and resources as possible and go back to base when the area is clear. The combat aspect of the game is cool. You need to position your squad members so that they are covering each other and all directions that Zombies might come from. There are regular Zombies and some 'special' Zombies which I have seen so far including a grabber and a spitter (basically the same as Left 4 Dead lol). You have to manage resources including food, fuel (used to transport your squad to locations) and materials for crafting items. I've only played for a short time so food and fuel management didn't really come into play for me.

I like how your squad members aren't completely stupid i.e. they only have line of sight in front of them, however they will turn around and defend themselves if Zombies get really close. Character's seem to occasionally have trouble with pathfinding e.g. getting stuck on objects. I'm not really a big fan of controlling multiple characters simultaneously in real time if you can't at least pause the game and give orders. But it's been okay so far. I like how the guys in your squad aim for the head to one hit kill the Zombies. One problem I had was when I cleared a building the mission didn't end. I was thinking the game was bugged out. Turned out there was another building on the other side of the map to clear. But the way to find places is to have your guys walk out into the fog of war. They can only see a few metre's out in front of them. Which is a bit ridiculous because you at least know that there is a building out there. An option to evacuate missions before completion would be nice.

I really liked the game. I like stuff like X-Com and games like it. I am really interested to see what multiplayer is like. It's not available in the demo. But it’s supposed to be a feature of the full game which does not appear to be released yet.
