About This Game

***Not Compatible with Mac OS 10.8.x and above***

Prepare for a different kind of poker night in a very different kind of club. In Poker Night at the Inventory, you'll deal with Penny Arcade's clever, cunning Tycho, Team Fortress 2's hulking Heavy, Homestar Runner's self-proclaimed "awesome icon" Strong Bad and the hyperkinetic "rabbity-thing" from Sam & Max. These characters come together in ways some never thought possible, in a setting few would have predicted.
Unlock new TF2 items by beating The Heavy, Max, Tycho, or Strong Bad at high stakes games of poker.

The Enthusiast's Timepiece: Tycho's favorite timepiece (equippable by the Spy)

License to Maim: Max's Badge (equippable by all classes)
The Lugermorph: A second chance at Max's personal armament (equippable by the Scout and the Engineer)

The Iron Curtain: The Heavy's first love (equippable by the Heavy, obviously)

Dangeresque, Too?: Strong Bad's styling glasses (equippable by the Demoman)

TBH, it was the TF2 items that made me buy this. That was the dumbest reason ever. I love this game, and play it whenever I don't have internet. This is the kind of game that is perfect forever. I recommend this whether or not you play TF2. Overall, I love this game. Max and The Heavy are funny as hell, and Tycho and Strong Bad add that little kick. Buy it!! ^^

Let's face it. You are here for the Iron Curtain.
I was too.
And has what the title offers. A Poker game.
But you know what? I love it.
First, it taught me how to play Poker (something i'm sure most of us don't)
Then you have the other players...
THEY ARE ICONS OF THE INTERNET CULTURE!... And Max. But hey, Sam & Max is an awesome game!
You get to talk with our beloved Heavy Weapons Guy, Mikhail from TF2!
From the first days of Flash Animation Nonsense you get Strong Bad too!
And for all of us true No Lifers who actually read web comics and know what Penny Arcade is, you get the Sarchastic, Devil Posessed, Drunk, Sex Offender (sometimes), foul mouthed (always) Tycho Brahe!
And Max.
You came here for the Iron Curtain, but you will come back for the High Stakes Action!
... Or for the Lugermorph ._.

Too bad tf2 items are the main reason many people are buying this game and, what's worse, most of these people don't even play it, they use cheats to unlock achievements to get their tf2 items.

This game is surely entertaining even if you don't play tf2 and if you don't know any of these characters.

Their dialogues and voice comments are still pretty funny and poker overall is pretty interesting game, of course if you bother to learn at least the basics of it before you start playing.

Even losing in this game feels good, it's just a friendly game with interesting characters where there are fake money at stake.

Better use this instead of gambling your real money, you know.
And use the saved money to buy more tf2 items.

Requested: list of tf2 items you can get from this game.

Fun game, helped me to learn play poker in real life and TF2 rewards.

The dialoge is really funny and I love the interactions between charaters, however this game does have some downsides.

1. People only play this for TF2 stuff
2. Even though multiplayer is out of Telltale's reach, it would have been a fantastic feature
3. Getting the TF2 stuff is too easy.

Overall worth the buy, get it now.

+ Visually appealing
+ Funny dialogue, but gets repetative after a while
+ Unlocks add incentive to play
- Predictable AI is too easy

Ever wanted to listen to some of your favorite video game and internet characters say kinda funny things to each other while you play a basic poker game? Maybe? Well maybe you should give Poker Night at the Inventory a try. Naturally, the addition of character antics slows the game down quite a bit, so if you want to really play poker, this game will piss you off. Additionally, the character AI is very predictable after you've played for a bit. Tycho is conservative, Heavy is aggressive, Strong Bad likes to bluff, and Max is aggressive to the point of stupidity. Once you learn their tendencies and tells, the game becomes very easy.

It's fun for a while, a nice game to relax with while enjoying an adult beverage. By the time you unlock most of the stuff, though, you'll probably be bored of it. Good thing they made another one!

73/100
A great poker game for people who don't really play poker. Worth about 2 bucks at this point.

>>> IF YOU HAVE A MAC, READ THIS!!! <<<

So, basically I have a mac. Everytime you click "Done" when the "How to play Poker" window comes up, the game crashes. Telltalegames doesn't care though. They were stupid enough to leave half of the files unported to mac. Unless some Telltalegames worker can lend us some source code, this game is screwed for mac.

Kind of short a short lived game, but still fun to play. The TF2 items are the real bonus.

This game is great because not only do you have unlimited replays but you can also win Team Fortress 2 items like The Enthusiast's Timepiece, License to Maim, The Lugermorph, The Iron Curtain, and Dangeresque, Too?. So I highly recomend the game.

Very dissapointed that the Mac version of the game will not run with Mac osx 10.8 onwards. I feel like unless this is fixed calling it a mac compatible version of the game is a bit of a joke.

It's poker. With a bunch of degenerate characters. And let's be honest: you bought or are considering buying it to get some TF2 items.

So sure, go ahead. You'll enjoy a decent game of poker, and an excellent script (that goes longer than expected before repeating) while you get said items.

Also, Tycho's voice is... strange. Odd to finally here a voice put to a Penny Arcade character.

I don't reccomend this game for users using the Macbook Pro because it's unplayable. You can't even be in the game longer then 5 minutes before it crashes.

DON'T GET IT FOR A MAC.

This should not be recommended for mac users as which it does not work when you click done on the tutorial. The game immediantly crashes as you click done.

A grand poker game featuring some great characters and hilarious (though crude) dialogue. As far as card games and gambling games go, I grew up on Hoyle Casino. This is much less serious, but I find that I actually enjoy it more for a short pickup game here and there.

The game isn't exactly overflowing with content, achievements or deep progression but it also does not require an overflowing wallet to pick up.

If you sometimes enjoy kicking back for 20-30 minutes and just playing an amusing round of Texas Hold'em then I would definitely consider adding this to your Steam Library!

Very very very fun game. I didn't know anything about poker and still got all of the items in 2 nights of play. The items are a nice touch to this, the smack talk is hilarious and the characters are so fun to play with.

11/10 Best poker game i've ever played :D

The game that made me utterly loathe Tycho from Penny Arcade. If you like simple AI poker games, this one is pretty polished, and the voice acting is funny.
