What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access is the perfect opportunity to have our community test the game, with the expectation that there will be bugs. It's also a great opportunity for players to provide useful feedback before the code base is complete. We want to add community-requested and voted features before the full launch.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Wild Warfare will likely remain in Early Access for most of 2014. At this point, no official release date for the full version of the game is confirmed.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Wild Warfare will include additional: Maps, game modes, classes, vehicles, music and sfx, items, upgrades, and micro-transactions. There will also be a certain level of inherent UI updates and polish to all of the above components and VFX.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Wild Warfare is currently in an alpha state. The game is functional and stable, however it is not feature complete. We intend to move through a beta period starting in September 2014. We want to be up front with our players that this game is not complete and will remain in Early Access until it is complete.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The value of the game, it's long term costs, and ease of access will all be balanced to determine it's price point. At this time, it's tough to speculate, but given that it's in an alpha state, there will likely be monetization model tweaks by the time the full product launches. Keep in mind this is an F2P game right now, so additional for-purchase content will be added to the game over time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We develop and launch content iteratively, so the community can expect to test new content often throughout this phase. We would love to receive bug reports, feature requests and balancing suggestions as we go. We are ultimately trying to create an inclusive experience and we are building this game for you! Tell us what you think! We assure you we are listening and will react accordingly.”

"Not NEARLY enough people play this. A diamond in the rough, and not even close to P2W. Definitely worth a download. Great artstyle and cool music."

Spring Cleaning Came Early!

Hey everyone,

As I'm sure some of your have noticed, we've made a few tweaks to Wild Warfare recently! Here's what we've done:

-removed shrubs
-removed chat window
-removed server select screen

We've also made some changes to how the servers work. We found that the "Quickplay" wasn't working the way we wanted it, so we are trying something new. Here is how it works:

Overlook - Team Skirmish
Greenhouse - Skirmish
Caldera - Snail Hunter
Gulch - Capture the Flag

As always, please let us know what you think of the tweaks!

- Wild Warfare Team

“I am officially calling Game of the Year 2014, and indeed every other year, to the game that lets me be a bear in a bowler hat with a heavy machine gun.”

About This Game

Survival of the fittest: now with guns.

Wild Warfare is a free-to-play, class and vehicle-based FPS, starring a colourful cast of critter mercs. Inspired by old school shooters, it seeks to capture the fun and fur-ious action of classic era multiplayer games. There ain't no regenerating health here.

Wild Warfare is currently in Alpha. If you enjoy classic arcade action with well balanced gameplay, crazy characters, and bears with mini-guns, this is exactly that game.

Wild Warfare features:

  • Class-based combat - nimble rabbits with bludgeoning weapons, raccoons with assault rifles, and more on the way!
  • Vehicle combat - Armoured Walkers transform the battlefield instantly with missiles!
  • Customizable characters - deck out your animal with warpaint, hats, and backpacks!
  • A bunch of game modes (Capture the Flag, Team Death Match, and Death Match)!
  • Ranking and levelling up - earn your infamy!
  • More of everything! This Alpha only scratches the surface of what's in store!

No animals were harmed in the making of this game. But we encourage you to pick up the slack.

If you want to play this game with players, change the Server Region to EU.
Because I realized that US Servers don't have players.

I had loads of fun with this game, it needs alot of updates though like; New Maps, New Classes, New Game Modes, and the Engineer to build something instead of charging at critters like a barbarian.
In the end the game is something i would play if i was really bored.

Wild Warfare is a surprisingly addictive game. If you want to look at this way, you could definitely say that it is very similar to TF2, but that's not necessarily bad - in fact, it's great! Wild Warfare is almost like the alternative we've been looking for. Put a cone on your bear and shoot a bunch of raccoons with your mini gun - family-friendly! You won't find blood and gore in the game, it is definitely something I wouldn't show your 5 year old, most likely an "Everyone 10 and up" game.

Unfortunately, the game is very inactive now. Not lots of players anymore, not lots of maps, barely any classes, only four game modes, two of which are pretty much the same. However, the game is still in beta mode, so you have to give it time. UNFORTUNATELY, the devs are focusing on games that are making them the most money. So for now, the game is pretty dead... regardless of this, however, I will give it a positive review and recommend it, in hopes that the developers will notice it again, and because, well, it is a good game that has lots of potential.

Well, for me, it will be a YES!~ if there's more random players in the game, it could've been a great game...
Sadly, the game seems really dead (or it's actually dead), not much player.. Server choice removed, making it worst for players to not know which map they jumped in when they tried the quickplay, leaving them hanging on a map with no players at all. Worst of all, they didn't let the players choose maps.
If not, it could've been a great game, so much potentials, but sooo much dissappointment.

Considering there are very few reviews of this game, I decided to make this for the average Steam user. I'll be honest, this game is fun, but very limited. In terms of mechanics, it's extremely limited. The game consists with 3 classes, 2 of which are played by most users because the last one is usless. It's like Team Fortress 2 except with only the heavy and the scout. Graphics wise, this game looks half decent. The cartoony feel is great and all, but the textures don't seem to make me very interested. Other than that, this game is fun if you have friends to play with. If you don't, then it'll be total boredom. Over all, it's extremely limited, but if you wanna have a quick laugh with your buddys, or are interested with a nice concept, I'll recommend this.

I'll give it a 6.5/10
