New Input System v1.0.9

After many questions & requests for Win10 native Xbox One controller support, it's finally here!

With this update we ripped out our old Input system in favor of a new one. Tinertia now has native support for more controllers, allows plugging-in controllers at runtime and Rumble for XInput controllers!

Action Platformer: No Jump Button

Tinertia places you on an unknown planet in the role of Weldon, a small but extraordinary robot. While on a mission to survey the planet, Weldon is entrapped by an evil entity identified only as the ARC. Stranded on this eerie and hostile world, Weldon must mount a heroic escape in order to survive!

Equipped with a trusty rocket launcher arm, you must master the skill of rocket-jumping to traverse expansive maze-like environments. Tinertia’s platforming mechanics are entirely physics-based, giving you immense freedom of movement. There’s no top speed and you can keep adding to your momentum. Launch yourself over deadly obstacles, take on bossy robots, and ultimately escape off the planet — Weldon’s survival depends on it!

    • Rocket Jumping: Master the physics of rocket-jumping to traverse intricate 3D environments. Connect your rockets to add momentum in any direction. There's no speed limit!

Tinertia is a game about rocket jumping and going fast. The game mechanics are simple enough to pick up quickly, but you'll spend a long time figuring out the finer points and mastering all the levels to unlock the medals. The movement is immensely satisfying and fluid and the difficulty curve is fairly even. In-game leaderboards let you track your best times and there's plenty of replay value in speedrunning and climbing the ranks. The music is great and the art style is clean and easy to look at. The game does get difficult in places, but it rewards skill and drives you to be a better player. Definitely worth grabbing.

Summary

Excellent platformer, but perhaps a bit too fast paced. 9/10

Pros

Very solid platform game.
Like super meat boy, but with rocket prepulsion instead of jumping.
The game has 2 seperate leaderboards for every level and every chapter.
One leaderboard for speedrunning, and another for fewest rockets fired.
Viewable replays for the leaderboard

Cons

The game is a bit too fast paced

For example, for any of you that have played Super meat boy or even CS:GO, imagine if those games were played at 2x the current speed. Sure it would make the game much harder, but it would also make alot of things way more inconsistent because humans arent physically capable of reacting that fast with precision.

....but............It could just me being bad and finding excuses XD

One of the best platformers I have played in a very long time. Incredibly addictive. This game may be the the one that finally gets me into speedrunning.

A gem of a game.

Been waiting a long time for someone to do a 2D rocket jumping game. Thank god when someone did, they did it right.

Controls are smooth. Getting into the flow of trickshot movement is bliss.

Anyone who has ever enjoyed a game with rocket jumping, conc jumping etc... should buy this game. And those who havn't should buy it anyway. Its a unique, challanging, skill based platformer that delivers extreme statisfaction when beating levels.

God! I freaking love this game! Swear to jesus, spent about 3 hours mastering the final boss, and I got 21 on the world leader board for both rocket par and time.
If you're into games with solid or unique movement (quake, tribes feel, etc.) this game was built for you. Great price for a fantastic platformer.

-One quick reccomendation-
Not sure if the devs read what people say here, but I wanted to comment really quickly on one of the levels in metropolis. In fact, it was the very last level. Anyways. In the last level, you first have climb whilst avoiding yellow bullets that shoot down the sides of the walls you are supposed to use. This is all fine and good, and I really enjoyed beating that part, however, directly after that, you jump to the left and you have to do the same thing, but this time, the platforms are falling. All of that is ok too, except for one thing. On the section where the platforms are falling, I felt like it was a bit random whether I succeeded or not. This is due to the fact that I could not see the yellow bullet things being shot down before I had to jump of the falling platforms. This made it impossible for me to time when I needed to jump onto the falling platforms to continue the level. And since I couldn't time it, I just kept playing till I got lucky. Other people might not have the same patience :P. It's a pretty simple fix, just move the camera to the left a bit during that section or something to that effect.
