Got this as a pre-order bonus, so no money wasted there. You might wanna grab it -66% or something as it doesn't really add much.

This DLC is really nice because it allows you to build another industry building in the starting Colonial era, namely the Creamery. It turns milk into cheese. Overall very usefull to have since you can't build any other industry buildings in the Colonial era apart from a lumber mill to turn logs into planks. It also provides some other bonuses including one that gains support of the nationalists.

I had played this Tropico 5 DLC when it first came out. The Big Cheese storyline was very funny and creative. After beating the Big Cheese mission (which was a bit short), help keep my island rolling in money during the World Wars era (for the mission takes place in the Colony era). The DLC did seem too short, but the added building does help industry heavy players. I do hope they add more money making DLCs in the future.

You Will Fail.
Many DLC for the tropic series paint you on a corner and asks you to get out of it, and that is a part of the charm of the content’s theme. Whether you are force to use military, science or gathering a mass of money, this time around you have to export your cheese and beat the competitor, but it is not your competitor that is the issue, it is your mandate.

You are in power as long as the throne allows it and you WILL run out of time. The game will provide mini missions with some choices on how to move forward but these choices can result in cutting your mandate in half or just provide some money to keep you up but these rewards and even if you use the “save, see what happens and reload” cheaty method of playing the game and always choose to extend you mandate you will STILL run out of time even at the very easiest difficulty!

This issue has been mentioned MANY times on many forums that talk about this game and it is Still not been addressed. Worst, Simmilar "You WILL LOOSE" issues can be found in other Tropico 5 DLC so Please BEWARE!
(Tropico 3 and 4 do not have these overlooked issues.)

TL;DR at end

honestly, i didn't notice a change (pre-ordered so got this as soon as it came out and i don't play all that much) with this DLC. calling this a DLC is a strech as one building doesn't add much (and this building sucks)

don't get me wrong though. i have enjoyed tropico since i started playing (tropico 3 was my first of the series) and i also enjoy DLCs for games such as Crusader Kings II and Payday 2 - bought nearly all of them as the content was satisfactory. HOWEVER, adding one lack luster building for $3.99 is not worth the money. If say 5-10 buildings were added in then it would be worth the my money. Even probably $10 for 5-10 buildings.

TL;DR Tropico is a game about managing money and making your people happy. Devs want us to lose money and be pissed.

It adds a building,a building that is complety useless since there a far more efficient industry buildings in the game and the scenario that it adds is really boring. Its a waste of time and money.

Cheese? Really? While i love this game, i would still debate it if it was only 99 cents.

Yes the potential for economic growth with this game is unlimited. I don't think people realize once you have the building you can use it in any other missions you are given. Where before missions may have began to feel tedious or overwhelming, it adds new ways to navigate your way thru the main story campaign or the side missions. The more DLC I purchase the more complete the game feels and more balanced it feels on any difficulty level, for any campaign/mission.

I love to see so many people taking the time to complain about a game, but not give any actual feedback as to how it hindered their gameplay experience or how they could have improved. Not very helpful to the creators if you just say it sucked and whine about the $5 you had to spend on it.

Just a heads up to future bad reviewers, give them info on how they could have improved it, don't just complain about it. I have a feeling all this DLC is adding up to another large campaign mission that will be much easier to complete provided you have these additional buildings. Although on their own they seem useless, as I go along here, the more has certainly been the merrier.

Really nice small dlc that adds a new building for some early industrial & money in the Colonial era.

The building doesn't really add anything to the game, and the mission is very weak. Most of the challenge comes from unpredictable story events you need to prepare for in advance, meaning you have to memorize them from failed runs to have a change. Era and mission restrictions mean that most of the gameplay features from the base game are absent or meaningless.
