Dead Bits is some kinda test-game or something.
It's like "I've put together all these ideas I had jumping around in my head, I'll leave you to fuss over the details."
Each of the 9 stages has a gimmick. The first one consists entirely of shooting a few block-zombies. The second stage features more block-zombies, and an additional gun. The stage after that? More block-zombies, and a bat. There's a stage where you don't get any weapons, and giant block-golems(?) take pot-shots at you with boulders. These aren't particularly interesting, well-balanced, or even fun gimmicks. They're more like those parts in your favorite games you always dread, but with slippery controls, worse platforming, and cheap deaths.
Normally I'd write up a long list of ideas that could be implemented, for Dead Bits to approach some level of entertainment. However, I'm going to guess we're far beyond that point now. In fact, with this game I wouldn't even know where to start. Should I write that Dead Bits would be fantastic if it....was never made in the first place? That's not exactly constructive is it? Maybe I could say that it'd be great if this game was really unstable and crashed all the time, so then I wouldn't be able to play it. Hmm...I guess I better quit while I'm behind.
Dead Bits isn't the worst game I've ever played, It's probably not even in the top 100. I think that says more about me than anything. Aside from the all-important cards, this is not a game you would want to spend any time with.
Gotta admit though, I like the music.
