About This Game

Floating Point is a free, peaceful game about using a grappling hook to swing yourself gracefully through randomly generated spaces. In the air, you're fighting gravity. When you splash down beneath the water, you're fighting your own buoyancy to swing yourself further into the depths.

The only objective is to collect points, and the only thing that increases your points is swinging swiftly, smoothly and elegantly without hitting anything. As you pick up momentum, you start to glow, the bars you're collecting rise up, the music kicks in, and your trajectory burns a bright red line in the air, drawing huge, beautiful mathematical curves of your arcing flight.

Also the name is a pun, so that's cool.

It's rare that a game gets MORE fun as you play, but Floating Point is that game.

Engaging and absorbing, more fun as you get good at the timing.

Thank you, Tom Francis, for the freebie!

Massively fun time waster. Better, more original ideas and mechanics than most AAA games, never mind games you can play for absolutely free. No real sense of progression or altered difficulty, but then what can you expect from a totally free game? Absolutely worth the 50MB or however much space it takes up, as well as an hour or two of your time. Do not listen to the negative reviews, as not one single person who wrote one seems to understand that twenty minutes of entertainment from a completely free game is still an amazing deal.

I just downloaded because is made by Suspicious Developments, the game overall is very simple and peaceful, its about of 60 MB to dowload the game.
Floating Point is just the perfect game to play while you hear music, not necessarily the soundtrack of the game (that is very good too). Well not very impressive.

Best game ever. Free-est game of free. You'll be free like a bird.

This game is pretty much an example that not much is needed to make it good. Also, headphones are nice to have.

Very relaxing game. Simple yet fun game. Need a little practice for smooth flow. Its free and doesn't take much space on HD.
I recommend it for taking a break from games that makes you hate humankind.

This game is brilliant. For stress relief, there is nothing better. The music is beautiful, the graphics are simple but nice, and the way you just endlessly swing from block to block is suprisingly relaxing. I warn you however, prolonged exposure to this game will make you fall asleep on your computer. And when you wake up you will have a keyboard imprinted into your face. Which will look stupid. Oh, and it's free, so you get to try it out, find out how much you love it, and keep it, without spending a penny. Perfect.

Floating Point is a simple, relaxing, beautiful game. The controls, like the concepts, are simple; the left mouse button attaches you to a platform (and can be held down to pull you toward your anchor point) while the right mouse button releases you. To advance to the next level, the player must come into contact with a certain number of red bars placed throughout the level. Players who come into contact with every red bar in a level are treated to the complete path they took throughout the level. The minimalistic art style is backed up by a wonderful ambient soundtrack as well, which is a real treat to listen to.

I tend to play a number of quasi-competative games, and so I would rarely reccomend playing one to help someone relax. Floating Point, however, is an amazing exception to that rule. Floating Point's simple and immersive style is enough to passify any Seething Ragebeast. I cannot reccomend this game enough to those just looking to unwind and relax.

Wow...Just Wow...Is this game kinda boring...Yes...Does the music need your custom soundtrack...Yes...Is this game simple to pick-up and play...Yes...
Can you stop playing this game...No...Cause it's always "after this level then i'll quit"...
For a free game I would pay a couple of dollars if they kept updating this...
This is how indie games should play and feel...
I can't recommend this game enough...
Relaxing game at it's finest...
Now back to "one more level"...

It's a good, fun, timewaster. Customize the settings to just screw around/perform badass tricks, but either way, you'll get about a good hour-or-so out of it.
