About This Game

Floating Point is a free, peaceful game about using a grappling hook to swing yourself gracefully through randomly generated spaces. In the air, you're fighting gravity. When you splash down beneath the water, you're fighting your own buoyancy to swing yourself further into the depths.

The only objective is to collect points, and the only thing that increases your points is swinging swiftly, smoothly and elegantly without hitting anything. As you pick up momentum, you start to glow, the bars you're collecting rise up, the music kicks in, and your trajectory burns a bright red line in the air, drawing huge, beautiful mathematical curves of your arcing flight.

Also the name is a pun, so that's cool.

A fun game to pass the time. It gives you the ability to customize the physics so you can tune it to your liking.
The only issue I had is that it doesnt like downscaling from 1440p for some reason. Not that big of a deal.

I still give it a bag of popcorn/10

(Its good, and free. just play.)

Time to put those Just Cause 2 and 3 grappling hook skills to use BAAABBBYYYYY!!1

No but in all seriousness, it's just a really relaxing game, when you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at CS or taking a break from 2 hours of Smite and League of Legends.

Just sit down and slam into holographic red pillars that give more points if you slam into them harder with your red string thing that can change it's properties and can extend for infinity like Goku's red stick thingamajing from Dragon Ball.

Play and calm yourself in 3 minutes...

I liked the simpleness of just swinging, for a free game what mroe could you ask? You start of just getting the hang of swinging and trying to perform epic loops but I eventually found myself more stressed than relaxed by the end because I couldnt maintain constant swinging without bumping or losing momentum. It is fun for kids who just need to use 2 mouse buttons.

Great game to fill the Solitaire niche since Microsoft managed to mess up even wasting time.

This is a hard game to be good at. Sometimes, you will feel frustrated by it. and it is just SO HARD to get right. But when you DO get it right, it feels SO GOOD. The first time you sail through part of a level, perfectly conservering your momenting, and moving in smooth arcs at rediculous speeds like some kind of insane, demented Spider-Man, you will be sold on it.

Recommended for those who need a little stress relief, feels good to play but with very very little replay-ability i find myself using it only to wind down after a hectic game i played before hand.

Tom Francis made a free game. What are you waiting for?

Seriously though, this game is a lot of fun. It's easy to learn, but has a lot of depth if you want to rack up a lot of points. It's extremely satisfying to get a long combo going. I feel like a master physicist when I get a nice long swing and can hit a bunch of long bars. Best game with a ball and lines this year.

You could have downloaded this and tried if for yourself in the time it took to read this review. I have photos bigger than this game. Just try it. You won't be disappointed. Check out Mr. Francis' other game, Gunpoint. It's incredible.

This game is pretty awesome, once you get down the basics that is of course. This Game is special, not in the bad way, This game has calm chilled music, but sadly not enough of that. Though i do hope that there will be more music later on (As Far As i know there are 7 Songs according to the Bandcamp album that is) but if not it's not too big of a problem, even though the music could get annoying after a while. Now for the Game mechanics. This game is basically a movement based game where you move around as a Pixel with a Grappling hook, while trying to earn Points. How to do that? Well just don't touch the Walls and stay fast to get a lot of points for collecting the Red bars that raise the longer you stay away from the Walls. It is hard though to get speed though (found a good way for myself for now). And Thats it for the Mechanics. So This game is a 7/10 in my opinion, mainly because there is not enough music to it. And i would really like to see a Scoreboard in future Updates to compare the Points to my Friends (and a way to save the points too that is). If there is a Scoreboard i am sorry and i did not see it.

TL;DR:
Game is a 7/10,
Needs more Music.
Fun to Play though.
Go and Play it, Gets Addicting really fast.

I'll excuse myself for any Grammar and spelling errors since English is not my Main Language.
