This review is coming from someone who HATED SF4. I have to say that this is the definitive version of Street Fighter 4 that you want to play. It's like CAPCOM went into this game and said :"Well let's try to please everybody". Didn't like the controls and the mechanics of SF4 ? You can choose to play with the new mechanics of ULTRA Street Fighter 4 instead (which is prefer because it's a lot like Street Fighter 3: Third Strike) or the OMEGA mode which gives an entirely different mechanic. Didn't like the SF4 ost ? Well, they changed it and it's a lot better. They changed the announcer, you can play the game in japanese if you want (or if you want a specific character to speak japanese and all the other one to speak english only during cutscenes, you can do that too). The game is fluid so no more cheap lag-exploiting wins during online play.

This is the definitive version to get.

oh yeah and also, Hakkan oiled himself and squeezed Zangief so hard, it launched him like a rocket. 10/10 will oil myself again.

Very lackluster netcode, but the game itself is very fun and rewarding to learn. One of my favorite games of all time.

If you like fighting games or if you are looking for a good place to start, Street fighter 4 is the way to go. Be adviced though, for this game is hard as it gets. Your tears will quench your online opponents' thirst.

''You lose!'' ... get used to hear that over, over and over again.

That said, while the game is brutal, it is on the other hand incredibly rewarding.

While I highly recommend this game, future buyers need to know that the online experience on PC is not good at all. The user will most likely experience lag spikes during matches due to bad net coding on Capcom's part.

If you own an Xbox 360, I would highly suggest getting this version instead. While you have to pay a small fee in order to access the online experience, the community is way more condensed than its Play Station 3 counterpart and apparently the game is not as fluid on Sony's console. That said, please note that Capcom made promises about an eventual fix for the PC online experience. So far, the recent patch did not fix the issue, but one day patience might pay up...

If you still want to play on PC or if you want to get the game on Xbox 360, might I suggest getting a fighting stick; it greatly enhances the experience and quite frankly, it is way more easy to execute the techniques.

Here is a great place to start getting information:

So far so good. The Game runs smooth. I haven't whitnessed any bugs or crashes. Would highly recommend this game to people who are fans of this genre or just want to start out with their first fighting game. However, beware noobs! This game has a fairly high learning curve and you will most likely get your ♥♥♥ handed to you plenty of times in online play.
