Wat de ontwikkelaars zeggen:

Waarom vroegtijdige toegang?

“We think the Adventurezator is perfect for Early Access because of it's player driven content and short levels. Usually a point-and-click adventure game would be horrible for Early Access, since not much will have changed, and you'd have to replay much of the same things you already did when the final version comes out.

But in the Adventurezator, you can keep making and playing different Adventures as we add more content to the game - it's not about playing through a point-and-click game, it's about making and playing them. And helping us shape what new content gets added so you can make and play better adventures.

And because we need some extra cash for development. Most games on Early Access do, but they don't tell you that. Most games are lying to you. We don't think that's a good way to start a good relationship with our players, is it?”

Hoelang blijft deze game ongeveer in vroegtijdige toegang?

“We estimate that the game will see it's official 1.0 release in Q3 2015.”

Hoe gaat de volledige versie verschillen van de versie met vroegtijdige toegang?

“We've already added a lot of new features and content during our time in Early Access, but there are still many levels to add for the official campaign.

Additional features and content:
  • - All 12 levels of 'When Pigs Fly'
  • - Bug fixes & usability improvements

For a more detailed view of our development plans for the coming months, check our roadmap doc on:
http://www.adventurezator.com/roadmap.html
(This document will get updated as we develop stuff and take Early Access feedback into consideration)”

Wat is de huidige staat van de versie met vroegtijdige toegang?

“Most of the major features are now already in, now we need to add levels that use them. Here's what's already in:

These modules are mostly done:
  • - Actor Creator
  • - Cutscene Creator
  • - Level Editor
  • - Campaign Creator & Player
  • - Game player
  • - Campaign levels 1 to 4
  • - Two standalone levels
  • - Workshop support

Zal de game anders geprijsd worden tijdens en na vroegtijdige toegang?

“The game will have a permanent 25% discount during Early Access, bringing it to $15. The currently planned price for the full release is $20.”

Hoe zijn jullie van plan de community te betrekken in het ontwikkelproces?

“The community already helped a lot during out time in Early Access, improving the game in many ways.

There's an in-game reporter to allow players to easily give us feedback without even having to open a browser. Or you can use the official forums on Steam if you want other players to join in.”

Update 0.20.1 - Angry Bears revamp (June 10th)

We strongly recommend a replay of the second level (Angry Bears) after today's update, as it has received a good revamping, getting rid of the pixel hunting annoyance (while you still need to hunt for objects, but you need only find 2 amongst the 5 available in the level), and adding some more puzzly puzzles with the fish, using the new Ignitable mechanics.

0.20.1, June 10th:

- Added: Ignitables / Igniters (affects logs, torches, fireplace, cooking spot, firepit, torches)
- Added: Mounted and wieldable torches
- Added: Basic cooking - raw -> cooked meats (fish, steak, chicken)
- Fixed: Some game breaking bugs on the Village Level.
- Fixed: Several other issues
- Improved: Angry Bears puzzles and playability

Update 0.20.0 - Hundreds of fixes

There is literally more than a hundred fixes on this update, so I won't post the change log here like I usually do.

We've also added bombs, explosions and other very cool stuff to the game - an update with all that will be coming soon.

“Overall, this has to be one of the most fun Early Access games I’ve had the pleasure of playing.”

Over dit spel

The Adventurezator is an emergent adventure game about creating emergent adventure games!

Rock, Paper, Shotgun says:
"Madness! Brilliant madness."

You enter the room. Squinting your eyes under the dim light, you can make up the improbable form of a pig with wings. It is glorious. “We are Pigasus. Mighty game developers”, asserts the airborne swine, “And this here is Adventurezator”.

“Adventurezator is an adventure game. Well, sort of. You see, we all love adventure games (as all sentient beings in their right minds should) but you must admit that even the best of them lack something very special: good old YOU.”

“In Adventurezator, you not only play an ever-renewed pile of brilliantly designed point-and-click adventures: you actually get to design your own, and publish them too! The best part? You can do that without all that boring programming, or math. It’s all very technical, but (if we had to put it in layman’s terms) it works like a very fancy cable connected directly to your brilliance.”

You stare at the flying mammal for a while, barely containing your happiness. But still, you could use a little more detailed information. Something like a feature list. Maybe with bullet points. Pigasus opens its inventory and gladly gives it to you.

Features:

  • An Adventure Sandbox: create and play your own adventures with no scripting or technical knowledge required;
  • Workshop support: share your creations, and easily play the best adventures the community has to offer;
  • Free-form Object Interaction: objects dynamically interact with each other – no need to manually make a cup and a water fountain find what they can accomplish together;
  • Actor editor: create, save and share your own characters;
  • Cutscene Editor: show the world your movie-directing abilities have been drastically underrated until now;
  • Level Editor: easily drag, drop and rotate components to create your own levels;
  • Campaign Editor: string your chapters together and create a world-spanning saga;
  • Full-fledged campaign and stand-alone extra levels: for your enjoyment and to inspire greater creations!
  • More post-launch content: we will continue supporting Adventurezator with official and community-driven updates;
  • Pointy. Clicky.
  • Pigs. Naked, Baby, Flying, Godly Pigs.

Never before have I run into a neat point and click adventure game that allows you to make your own tales!

It's pretty funny to. If you like point and click the campaign is nice and easy also the user content that is around is nice too.

Every once in a while an early access title grabs my attention, holds on, and won't let go. Sometimes these love-at-first-sight relationships end in crushing disappointment. (StarForge) Other times I get to witness the birth of something truly great. So far, Adventurezator is definitely on the "great" side of things.

The style is fantastic, from the comical art direction, to the awkward pig genitalia, the delivery just makes me smile. The whole concept of easy-to-use tools and emergent adventures is already quite enjoyable, and just screams potential. Things feel pretty polished in an "under construction" kind of way. Occassionally you run into these to-do notes where features should be. But hey, this is a game that is currently in development. You can't judge an unfinished house based on the fact that some of the rooms still need paint or furniture.

With Adventurezator's current state, in all honesty, my endorsement is mostly based on potential here. I'm confident that Adventurezator will become something amazing however, because I see none of the warning signs that other failed early access titles exhibited. Performance is good. I see all good, original assets, not purchased Unity models. The roadmap shown so far keeps things realistic, instead of promising the moon, only to ultimately fall short of it. Because of this, I think you can safely give your money to the Adventurezator guys. You'll be supporting something that I can confidently say will be well worth it.

Adventurezator: When Pigs Fly is part point-and-click adventure in the old LucasArts style, reminiscent of Grim Fandango and Monkey Island, and part sandbox creator because you can actually create your own adventures which is really the key aspect of the game.

It looks to be a fantastic point-and-click adventure game and sandbox creator and I am really looking forward to seeing where it’s going. The main issues I really have with the game in its current stages is how in some instances it’s fairly lacking in content and that some things really aren’t explained all too well within it. However, it has some fantastic potential, and certain aspects such as the level creator are absolutely fantastic and its definitely worth looking into if you like the idea of creating your own adventures in this way.

The meat of the game really is in the editor and sandbox aspects, so if you are looking to get it for the campaign you may be slightly disappointed as there’s only 3 short levels as it stands and it feels more like an add-on to show you the sorts of things you can create.

For my more information and some demonstrations of features (etc.), my video preview is below:

PLEASE NOTE: My “preview” series focuses on Early Access games and is more of a “first impressions” than a review. Due to it being incomplete I can’t properly review it; however Early Access isn’t a way to avoid criticism, so I feel first impressions after a good few hours of play is the best method to assess Early Access titles.

Pigasus Games invites gamers to create their own adventures in its Steam Greenlight-approved adventure creation game, Adventurezator: When Pigs Flynow available as an Early Access title.Described by Brazilian developers as: “an emergent adventure game about creating emergent adventure games,” Adventurezator allows gamers to create, share, and play their own point-and-click adventures, without scripting or fancy technical knowledge. Players can design their own cutscenes, characters, puzzles, levels, and campaigns using powerful yet simple-to-use tools, and will be able to share them via Steam Workshop.The latter half of the game’s title, When Pigs Fly, is a full-length adventure campaign created entirely within Adventurezator as a testament to the game’s creative potential and limitless possibilities.Adventurezator is a game with a lot of scope and a lot of potential. There certainly is the grounds for a fascinating, time consuming adventure/crafting game to be found here.At this point Adventurezator is off to a good start. Those looking for a completed adventure game will find that When Pigs Fly is still very early along and is simply not there yet. As an editor the Adventurezator framework has a great deal of potential, but like any creation software it will eventually require an active community to share what they are working on in order for adoption to thrive. Hopefully that will prove to be the case here.
