buggy as hell. every time a battle starts it locks up so you cant control any aspect of any battle. If nothing else its convinced me not to spend any money on the rest of the series of pay to play.

It's a good game to pass the time but it should not be associated with the Total War franchise.

For a free to play game its not too bad, the real downside of it is how slow progression is without using its pay to play features, and as pointed out you dont have to pay to play, but as an example I have been playing for over 6 days now, and still have not been able to gain enough stone/silver to upgrade the castle to its second level.

Perhaps reading some build guides might have helped, but it is just such a slow moving game and because of that there is very little enjoyment when you consider you can buy some excellent games in the total war series for around £5/$7

overall opinion decent freebie but far to slow moving, id recommend other enjoyable games like Grepolis which although very time consuming offer far more involvement and enjoyment but that was ruined too by premium focus and pay to win features which ruined the original Grepo.1 builds.

This game is fine if you just want to log into it once or twice a day for a few mins to collect your resources, but as far as entertaining its just too slow going, unless once your kingdom is capable of producing the resource counts on a faster scale at higher levels it wont hold anybodys attention for the long haul. in my opinion.

Great game! No pay to win at all, you can get EVERYTHING (except some aesthetic items) for free with time. You pay to get immediate access to the craftable units.

Further: nice game, especially the terraforming, just make sure to be careful to not flood everything.

As a long time fan of the Total War series & having been a sucker for spending a fortune on Stronghold Kingdoms this seemed like the ideal middle ground to have a look at, how wrong could I be?

Installed.
Built a farm > 8s
Collect Wheat > 8hrs
Or Pay gold to complete instantly.

Uninstalled.

The end.

This game should've come out on April Fool's because this is a Complete Joke. This is my rant.

April 1st, 2016: It's April Fool's... and this game is still a joke.

I've played for half and hour and I already feel like I never want to touch this again. The tutorial itself teaches you how to spend money.

Basically the game is designed around making the building as tedious as possible to entice the player to spend real money to skip absurd waiting times. I thought the '8 hours to collect wheat' must have been an exagguration but it's not. It's literally wait 8 hours or spend money.

The game isn't designed to be fun, it's designed to be tedious unless you spend money.

The battles are incredibly shallow. Three lanes of units move towards eachother without your control and you 'tap' them to 'charge' when prompted. You can tell archers to shoot (through a very cumbersome system that is clearly designed for your phone), and 'taunt' which is really the only way you can move between 'lanes'. It's utterly woeful.

Not to mention you can again, pay real money to buy better units and buff said units. You also need to spend money to heal units. And spend money to avoid more ridiculous waiting times to build more units.

Even on mobile phone, this game seems terrible. It's basically an excercise in tedium unless you pay money. They didn't want to make the game fun, rather they tried to make it as dull as possible unless you cough up money.

Avoid like the plague. This is an abomination of a game. Sega and Creative Assembly should be ashamed of themselves.
