What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are really looking for feedback regarding things that are difficult to be tested by developers and their family. These will mainly be things such as the macroeconomics or PvP.”

How long will this game be in Early Access?

“Divine Souls is expected to be in Early Access for approximately 5 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The release version is planned to have additional character classes. There are currently 4 and we are looking to add at least another by release time. There may also be additional dungeons by release time.

We plan to erase all character data (server-wide character wipe) from the Early Access version approximately 2 weeks into the Early Access. The remainder of Early Access and the release version will not have any server-wide character wipes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully featured with a fully functional combo system. There are no critical bugs but don't be surprised if you're able to spot smaller bugs and polish issues here and there.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. Divine Souls will always be free-to-play.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are looking for feedback regarding whether rewards for in-game activity appropriately reflect the difficulty levels. This means seeing whether players pool towards repeating easy or mundane tasks with the disproportionately better rewards than more challenging tasks. We're also looking for feedback on PvP formats and balance. We hope that the feedback will lead to positive changes that keeps the game interesting and prevents it from decaying into a figurative farm simulator.”

So far this game is amazing. Im loving every bit of it. Though theres one small bug i noticed. Sometimes when you get hit your character goes into the ground a bit but it's easily fixed by moving. Other than that i havent had any problems with it.

The game is alot like Dragon's Nest the control keys are set in very weird way alittle getting use to. Easy to play. My daughter loves it and it is ok gets alittle boring after long sittings. Depending on the class you play with let you know how well you can handle damage but even a mage can solo on hard mode. I think it needs alittle work but I do enjoy playing for like an hour.

Originally, I wanted to give this game a chance because it got a few negative reviews; however, it simply just doomed itself with issue addressed in the following thread -
http://steamcommunity.com/app/300040/discussions/0/34095131882102544/

Basically, despite even shall you activate and bound the close-beta key to your account, despite you have registered an account with the official site ... your login with this game will always be "wrong password", even after you reset and change the password on the official website. Not to state the fact the official website always is down for a long period of time.

I do not understand why STEAM is even allowing this "unplayable" game to be placed on STEAM ... "Early Access" games would have bugs and issues which is understandable; however, "unable to login with legit account" is NOT even a game "bug". Sorry to say ... this game cannot be played at all [don't take my word for it, the thread above says all].

Its crashy, buggy and pretty much boring.
I know I know, its in its beta but I cant find anything good so far.
Textures are bad, voices are bad, story is worse, GUI and everything is pretty much annoying to the eyes.
Dont see much of potential but I wish for the best.

10/10 would uninstall again. It was painful to play, windows to combo moves were not just way too short, but really finicky on actually registering the inputs, and its awful control feeling and aesthetics in general made me want to fall asleep as I played. It was one of the best uninstall experiences I've had though. I clicked delete local content and it was actually gone unlike Gameguard! It didn't even automatically open some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ feedback website that doesn't actually get anyone any useful info!

At first I found the poor graphics and jerky movements to be surprising, until I read someone mention that this is actually a re-release of an older game.
Well, it shows. There's nothing interesting I could see, even the interface has aged (not well). There are way better Free MMORPG offers on Steam.

What can I say about "Divine Souls"? Other than they are other games out there than this, I will say this game is intriguing. If you're a fan of the MMOs and hack-and-slash genre, and if you're also looking for more games other than Onigiri and Elsword, then this is a game for you.

The downside is that the voice acting is too mediocre. I'm not saying they are bad, but they can do better than that. Overall, I will recomend this game for the fans of these types of games. Now, don't take my word for it, this game can't be as good as you think, but it's a fun experience for MMO fans.

Waited for 2 hours same problem.
Going to uninstall this game and move on.
Even the main website doesn't recognize my account. Don't waste your time, if the dev actually cares they'd fix the problem. They obviously don't care and you don't have to play the game to find that out. :U

It is very fun and should be played because of it. I really liked the fact that Priests can level up very fast because they are in the back lines, not the front lines.

This game is NOT new. Divine Souls was originally supposed to be released in 2010 for the North American and Europe regions by a small game hosting company named Outspark. This is the same company that held on to "Fiesta Online" for several years before discarding it and letting a new unknown company have complete ownership of it. Divine Souls was supposed to be an action RPG that would rival "Dragon Nest" and "Vindictus" which got few people (including myself) looking forward towards it. However, the game was mysteriously canceled for release and the dicussion forums for the game were completely deleted. There was no word given out for why this happened, but it did. It's cancellation left me disapointed but then I went to play Dragon Nest and forgot about this game.

Now 4 years later I see it on Steam as "EARLY ACCESS". Early access? It's been four years since this game's disappearance, what happened? Four years ago they planned to release this game in this stage? Honestly Divine Souls is terrible. It's as if it was supposed to be made in 2005 with it's sloppy controls, terrible animations, outdated gameplay and awkward battle system. It claims itself to be in early access but there's no way of improving something that was originally planned to be released at this stage. This horrible stage.

Basically Divine Souls is a game made for the year 2005 that was supposed to be released on 2010, dropped midway through development four years ago and just got picked up by some indie team who got it on Steam somehow.

We all know "Omer from MMOHUT.com". Go watch his video review for this game which was made during the actual release date.
