One of the best skill-based and highly technical WW2 shooters out there. Bullets kill people if you hit, the automatics need solid mouse control and grenades are very very precise. Also far more classes, weapons and an extra faction compared to the watered-down source version. It's also really fun to mod.

Was on a server and a bunch of guys talking about the Russian Ophan uprising. I told a team mate a platoon of AXIS members were charging. The guys told me to shutup or they would feed me to them.

10/10 would talk again

Think this was one of the first games I ever played on Steam. Way back when Steam was a ♥♥♥♥ DRM system and just some stupid thing you had to log into in order to play Valve games. But this was a good game, and Steam has gotten -much- better since then, so Valve is forgiven for its earlier ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. XD

"Yes" for nostalgia.

For a new starter like me, it was helpful that some of the maps were those you already know. Dust, Aztec, and maybe there's more. Yes, maps from Counter Strike. For this reason, I was able to get used to this game easier than I thought. I was surprised to see that there were still many people playing this game. Without them I might have never had the chance to enjoy Day of Defeat. Gear up, It's time for classic gunfire wars.

+) Easy and straightforward game play. Shoot on sight and Capture the flag.
+) Various types of soldiers. Each of them deals with different type of weapons like Team Fortress.

-) Grenades' graphic is poor. They look like some rocks, fragments or some kind, so It's hard to notice it at first. It takes longer time to blow up than you would expect so at first you might be killed by your own.

Hell yes, this game is amazing, its pretty fun with friends, or by your lonesome, as long as you good with an MG or a sniper. I'd say that this games only downfall is the low player count, and the constant hackers in the already low count of players, but other than that its pretty good!

So yeah get this only when its on sale, cause it doesnt have bots so your gonna have to play online with only like 50 - 100 players.

In my opinion, everyone should have this in their library, because there are many reasons why, but i'll give you two:
1. It's one of the best and the most realistic WW2 shooters out there.
2.It's a classic title and there are alot of servers active, that means that you can play this every time!
Recommend this to your friends to support this game and to keep it alive like the other classic titles(Team Fortress Classic, Deathmatch Classic, etc).

Personal rating: 7/10

PROS:
+ fun gameplay
+ active community
+ nice choice of weapons
+ many mods

CONS:
- clunky graphics
- the community has a lot of rude and mean players

Comment:
Unlike many other old Valve multiplayer games this game has enough active players to have plenty of servers to join. The gameplay is fun, gun damage accurate and maps are cool. I got this game for free with Counter Strike 1.6 so that is always a plus. This game is set in the World War 2 setting and so the maps, teams and guns match this theme. Not really special but for sure cool multiplayer with a variety of WW2 weapons. Though I haven't played that much this seems like a cool old-school type of multiplayer game and I'd recommend it.

I don't know what to say about this game, so here is a recipe for pancakes,

Ingredients:

4tbsp plain flour (about 100g)
1 large free range egg
½ pint semi-skimmed milk + water (about 300ml - ¾ milk ¼ water)
Pinch of salt
Butter for frying
How to make pancakes:
Sieve the flour and salt into a large bowl and make a well in the mixture.

Break in the egg and stir to make a breadcrumby mix.

In a jug add 1/3 of a pint of milk and top up with water to make 1/2 a pint (200ml milk, 100ml water) - this makes a lovely light batter.

Add the milk and the water mix bit by bit, beating constantly to avoid lumps.

Tip:*If you have a food processor just throw all the ingredients in and zap until smooth!

Pop a large frying pan over a medium heat.

Add a large knob of butter (roughly 50g) and melt.

Pour the excess butter into a small bowl and reserve it for later.

Using a ladle pour a spoonful of the pancake batter into the hot pan and swirl to get a full covering - cook for about 1 min each side (it's ready when it's easy to flip over).

Serve immediately with sugar and lemon or other exciting toppings. We love cheese and Marmite for an extra British twist! Delicious!!
