A cheap standard Tower Defence game which gives value for money.

There's not a huge amount of content in Terrorhedron but enough to give you a decent amount of game time.

It has 6 maps which are in 3D letting the tracks twist and bend around.
There's a limited amount of build locations on the maps however you can expand from them with extension blocks to have as many towers as you can buy.. or as many as your computer can handle.
You have several turrets which you can place on them however I found myself using the same tactic throughout all the levels which left some of them redundant, i felt like more could have been done to make the others more useful and give you more ways of passing the waves of attack.

One of the odd things that I didn’t like when I first started playing was how the towers unlocked, what you start with weren’t good enough and meant failing, once unlocked they stayed unlocked so it was a little pointless to go through.

There’s several difficulty settings which give more waves of attacks, plenty of hours can be put into completing the game but I really do wish there were more to it.

Unlike nearly all Tower Defence games, Multiplayer Co-op is available and for up to 8 people.

Anyone into Tower Defence should enjoy it and Terrorhedron goes on sale quite frequently for a high discount so it’s definitely worth a shot if you pick it up on sale however it really isn’t much at full price for the time you get out it.

I found nice corner that keeps enemy inside turret range long time, stacked platform and guns like a big hand on this side, and on the otherside I built something like a cooking robot. Named it Ripper & Devil's palm, then watched them crush enemies into rainbow dust.

In another round, I walled road with block and stun towers to spam bouncing pulse in it, grinded enemy horde like a car washer of hell.

At harder difficulty I got crazy tons of credit and spent it to construct ugly tower filled with plasma throwers, saw serious TD maddness...

If you like to TD and try solving some complex situation, this game will eat your brain.

I picked this game up for 19 pence and have wasted 10 hours on it already. Very addictive and very challenging. Best 19 pence ever! If you like tower defense games then this game is a must. Some people are complaining about the controls, or the slightly fiddly multiplayer, but these are the people who also still wet the bed.

So yesterday I was like "Hm, I have $1 in my steam account, I will go check out games that are cheap just to dump out this extra $1." It was on sale so I bought it for me and a friend. For 49 cents on sale, this game, in just 2 days, gave me 3.2 hours of entertainment. Totally worth it.

Hey everyone and this is my review about the game!

This is a game.

Interface/Menu/Settings

Main menu music is annoyingly bad.
You are able to play fullscreen or windowed mode.
You are able to change the Music volume between 0 and 5.
You are able to change the sound Volume between 0 and 5.
There is a Tutorial.
There is a multiplayer available but this is IP Based.

About the game.

This is a bad tower defence game. I find the camera the most annoying thing in the game. The graphics are plain and look very boring. Killing an enemy is not very rewarding because the money that you receive is based on shots, which could give you money issues. You are able to level up (character) and you will learn new towers and other things. The character level is saved forever, even if you left the game. I played on easy, which was nearly impossible already to complete the 2nd wave without losing a life. Mostly the money that you are receiving is just too low.

The music is bad and more of an annoyance.
Graphics are not that interesting and very simple and plain.
You can sell and upgrade towers.
You are able to speed up waves.
Camera could be annoying after awhile. Rotations and everything. The execution of the camera is really bad.
There are 5 difficulties. Easy to Very hard.
You don't get alot of money whenever destroying a target.
It doesn't tell you, how much money you will need in order to make an upgrade happen.

Other things.

-------------------

I Give this game a 5/10

This game is surprisingly fun. For 25 cents I thought id be getting a glitchy terrible game, and believe me, that is what I got, but despite not being able to copy paste for multiplayer, having a lot of lag during gameplay, being unable to save in multiplayer (Which is a huge pain when playing with others) and not having any sort of way to see what your friends are doing (just as bad as not being able to save), this game is great.

For 25 cents you get hours (probably 2 since thats how long it took me and 2 others to get all the weapon unlocks and beat the first level) of fun with friends building and optimizing things together.

If this game had a little more support to get the major issues fixed and get the multiplayer smooth with perhaps more weapons, id have no problem paying 5 to 15 for this. As it seems the dev is done though, 25 cents is more than worth it. Hell id pay 2 bucks.

I played many different tower defence games before but this one is the best.

(+++) The biggest thing in the game giving priority for turrents. It makes everything different and more logical.

--> For example:
Let's say you have two weapon which can hit 100hp and you have two more which can hit 20hp. And your enemies have 80hp.

In other tower defence game because they hit the nearest one;
First hit make enemies hp 20 and the second enemy pass away because as everyone knows power means slowness in that kind of games. If the second powerful one hits one has 20 hp then the second enemy still has 100 hp and your 20hp weapons cannot kill it.

However in this game;
You can give the priority. This one will hit slowest one, this one will hit strongest one etc. This makes your game more logical and if we back the example, powerful ones hits the most strongest one then it compares 20hp with 100hp then it hits 100hp so your weak weapons can kill them.

(++) Second most attractive thing is; there is not lots of nodes to build turrents. In the other games you have a path and you can build weapons on side of path. In this game you can build nodes to build more nodes or turrents. Therefore, you have to find the optimum balance for it. You can manage your money more carefully.

(+) The path is 3D and this is a bit more difficult the other tower defence games.
(+) Price is really funny. Kind of there is no price :)

(-) Control mechanism of 3D view is weird. Sometimes I lost the game :D
(-) Levels are too hard actually.

Excellent and challenging tower defense. Don't get depressed if you're having trouble beating the levels, just give it some time and you'll notice you can beat them after some unlocks. Have been been looking for playable td:s for years, this is one of them. And the price is reasonable too :D

While this is strictly a tower defence game, the convention will only go so far as having enemies that moved in a pre-determined path and the fact that you construct towers to defeat said enemies. To succeed in this game, you must have to the mental fortitude to plan in three dimensions, as well as an abundance of creativity to maximise and extend the reach of your turrets based on limited nodes to build upon.

In the first hour of play you’ll learn to construct vine like constructs to maximise your firepower, since you can only place turrets on specified nodes or extend upon them via connectors. Balancing between the reach of your foundations and your capacity to damage, you’ll glow new vines across a few strategic points, eventually connecting them all in one gigantic network. All between rounds of steadily increasing waves.

The game can be mercilessly hard at higher difficulties, but it is also a rewarding experience to players that can adapt new tactics in different elevations and angles.

That said, the multiplayer felt tagged on at the last minute and it suffers from sync issues when I tried it. The lack of a map editor is also a major oversight on the developer’s part, as this could have so much potential if it had workshop support; potential that was wasted simply because the devs wished to work on a newer title.

If you wanted a relatively new take on the tower defence genre, you ought to give this a try. The unique visuals and catchy tunes are just icing if you happened to like the retro theme.

This is a really fun, but has some problems.

Pros:

Change turrent behavior: In most Tower Defense games, the most powerful towers are also the slowest. If they shoot the weaklings, then the strong enemies have a chance to slip past it. This game lets you make these towers target only the strongest enemies. This is the biggest pro in my opinion.

Build bigger platforms: There are special 4 way and 6 way blocks. These allow you to build more towers in one space. These blocks can be put together, "like legos," to create chains of towers. Also, towers can't shoot things below them, so sometimes you need a these blocks to tilt the towers.

Simple: No fancy PC slowing effects or confusing menus.

Hard: I couldn't complete the first level on easy until I unlocked the best turrent.

Cons:

Extreamly slow camera zoom: I litteraly seen turtles craw faster than this camera zooms. Furthermore, I have looked through the entire program files, and there appears to be no way to change it. (If someone found a way, then please let me know.)

Flawed EMP behavior: The EMPs will NEVER shoot an enemy that has already been shot by one, even after the effet wears off. This means only the first couple turrents will work.

Can't rotate 4 sided platform: These have angled sides, and sometimes they don't work well simply because the angle is wrong. Rotating these would make them much more useful.

Mismatched Acheivements: There are achievements for unlocking things and completing levels, but you never get the right one. Example: completing the Fortress level on easy unlocks the acheivements for completing the Gateway level on easy.

Multiplayer is LAN only.

Some of the best $0.49 ever spent.

This is a great tower defense game with addictive gameplay and a fun level up system. What you do is place towers, with unique abilities such as slowing down enemies or firing a heat seeking misile, on predetermined spaces. Sadly, this game is undernoticed and because of that, is usually on sale. Also because of being undernoticed, online mode is just about allways unusable. Also, this game is extremely hard, (I am only able to beat the first stage and thats on easy) so if you are really good at tower defense games, pick this up.

Nice twist on the Tower Defence formula. You really need to spend time checking out the route before plotting your turrets. the multi-headed turrets idea is also quite smart.

A very simple yet well designed 3-Dimensional tower deffense with likely the most intricate design patterns Ive ever seen in this genre. Not only do you get to select the target priority (i.e. first in line, fastest, closest, etc.) but you can essentially craft the terrain with either a 4-head or 6-head platform extension. The multiplayer is quite fun, and strategy can be individual and still work.

The sweet chiptune soundtrack, well designed stages, neat concept, and that super fair price: definately worth checking out.

One of the best tower defense games that you can sit down and drink a few beers with (21+ only), and hammer out some awesome 3d brain busting strategy, game is well worth the 1 penny per four hours I have played so far, I just wish there were more levels or an easier option to connect to multi-player. Game is a 9.8/10, and will take a bit to beat the impossible levels, but after you get your strategy down, they are pie.
